    I like the word 登记表(registration form), it is really needed for foreign travelers in China since many Chinese hotels have a relatively strict rule for foreign guests, and 冰块儿, 请给我一杯冰水(please give me a cup of iced water)is extremely useful!
    And for foreigners who LIVE in China, besides credit card and cash, words related to digital payment, like scan code, alipay is also important to learn.

      The Chinese word for "like" is 喜欢 (xǐ huān). So, this very common word is represented by two characters, and the first one is frustratingly complex for beginners. But, that's just the way it is.
      So "I like it" would be: 我喜欢 (wǒ xǐ huān). The word "it" at the end of the English sentence, is not really used in Chinese. Similarly, "Do you like it?" would be: 你喜欢吗? ("nǐ xǐ huān ma ?") Here too, the word "it" is not used. But the question-particle 吗 ("ma") is required at the end, to make the phrase a question.
      You can also say:
      我不喜欢这个 ("wǒ bù xǐ huān zhè ge) = I don't like this one.
      我喜欢那个 ("wǒ xǐ huān nà ge) = I like that one.

    What if im a tour guide and wants to reserve 10 rooms for 10persons (I'm not going to check in with them), should i reserve all 10rooms using my name? and when i help those 10persons checking in, how should i adress it to the receptionist that i booked 10 rooms for 10ppl, would the receptionist also need all ten person passport and my Id card aswell ? Thanks :")

    One question, how do you read pinyin or the characters? I know there are tones so if I'm reading pinyin, will have to pay attention to words and tone.

    • @ariamaze9081
      @ariamaze9081 4 роки тому +2

      Pinyin changes the sounds no matter if is a "e" "q" "h" "y" you gotta review an episode where they explain it. Its hard at the beggining but when you start practicing you barely notice and read naturaly ...

    May I ask 'twin room " "double room" are not the same ? Minute 2:44 saying it !

    • @EverydayChinese
      @EverydayChinese  4 роки тому

      A double room (大床房) will generally be 1 bed for two people, the bed will either be a Double, Queen or King size bed. A twin room (双人房) ususally has two separate beds.

    • @mountaintag
      @mountaintag 4 роки тому +1

      For "wi-fi" there is also a proper Chinese word, which is 无线网络 (wú xiàn wǎng luò) and means "wireless network". I'm not sure which expression is used more commonly in China.

    • @khalifasamassi5216
      @khalifasamassi5216 4 роки тому +1

      You can just say Wi-fi it's okay

    • @EverydayChinese
      @EverydayChinese  4 роки тому +2

      We usually say it "wifi" in colloquial Chinese, so wifi password is "wifi 密码". In written Chinese, we say it "无线网络", “无线网络密码”.
