HRU Analysis (Land Use-Soils-Slope) Definition in Arc swat
ArcSWAT is a hydrological model that attempts to describe the different physical processes to control the shift of rainfall to runoff. These processes are (evapotranspiration ET, runoff, infiltration, filtration into shallow and deep aquifers, and sediments) where these processes vary temporally and spatially.
The Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) is a comprehensive model that requires a diversity of information in order to run. Novice users may feel overwhelmed by the variety and number of inputs when they first begin to use the model.
ArcSWAT:
1. ArcSWAT: Arc GIS Extension of SWAT.
2. ArcSWAT is a tool in ArcGIS software that is used for watershed modellings. The Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) is a river basin scale and continuous-time model, Used to predict the impact of land management practices on water, sediment, and agricultural chemical yields in large, complex watersheds with varying soils, land use, and management conditions over long periods of time.
3. ArcSWAT is used for: development of inflow -Outflow model, Estimating available water resources, Managing check Dam, Quantifying the impacts from land-use changes on the runoff, and Modelling the long term impact of management practices
