The only reason why The Deer stays is cause it's scared of the people being able to drink a half-liter of Olive oil and then destroying a 200kg rock, it fears the madmen.
It was more of a sacrafice to the God so that he finds grace in the sight of those that performed the ritual .... Which ties the god to that ground .... Many of these beings are the actual children of the Angels those physically manifested on Earth are of the fallen Angels which goes back long before the time of man in spirit anyway

Yes. The first few of the procedures are based around Saturnalia, which is the roman festival dedicated to Saturn (Cronus in greek mythology) and the latter procedures like breaking up the rock, castrating the D class and eating the child are based around the myth of Cronus.
Cronus castrated his father Uranous, and later ate his own children but was tricked into eating a rock instead of his last son Zeus.
Several rituals contain components of both like the testes being offered up (Saturnalia included the offering of bull testes), the sickle being used for the castration (Saturn was a God of fertility and agriculture).
This "ritual" is just how you find the Reggies in Pokemon Emerald

For everyone who doesn't get why they use those cruel rituals: no the scientists that came up with this containment procedure are not crazy, it kinda makes sense.
What SCP-2845 really is, is a reincarnation of the titan Chronos (greek mythology) who is also called Saturn in roman mythology - hence the Ice Ring, around its head, like the asteroid belt around the planet Saturn. The rituals they perform to keep it in a docile state are basically a reconstruction of and a tribute to Chronos' history. For example they castrate a D-Class and throw the testicles into salt water, because another titan (i think it was Uranus) cut Chronos' manhood when he tried to rape Gaia and it fell into the sea. Then the scientists eat a baby, cause Chronos ate his children Poseidon, Hades and co. and so on.
So SCP-2845 basically remains docile and doesn't try to leave, because it feels worshiped from the on-site-staff. From it's point of view it isn't imprisoned (thought it really isn't cause it could escape anytime with ease) no, it's sitting on a pedestral, being honoured. The foundation just gives this god what it wants: getting treated like one.

I think the Titan Uranus was King and the Titan Chronos was one of his children, Uranus killed almost the children but Chronos escaped, he grew up then challenged his father, and in that confrontational Chronos castrate Uranus. Chronos threw the testies as hard as he could, they landed in the sea where the blood and semen spawned the Goddess Aphrodite. Later Chronos had his own children, ate them all except for one Zeus, who Zeus later grew up killed his father, cut his father's gut open to release his siblings. Yes technically Aphrodite is Zeus aunt/sister, and yes I know how screwed up that sounds. Zeus in order to avoid the same fate as Uranus and Chronos ate/absorb his first wife Metis the original Goddess of Wisdom, which later lead to Zeus having a Migraine and from his skull birth fully formed and grown adult Athena. To further avoid the prophecy of Zeus getting overthrown, he forbade Athena from ever having a relationship and she had to stay a virgin.
@@Ivynling exactly! I guess he wasn't sure how to animate that or didn't want to. Some things on the SCP wiki are too graphic to fit into his cartoon style.
He did something similiar with SCP-953 (Polymorphic Humanoid). He told in the video that one agent kissed 953 and she ripped his tongue out, But in the article it is implied, that she gave the agent a BJ and well ... you can guess which body part she actually bit off. That also would've been weird to animate. ^^

That basically means everything that is living is called an object, anyways this is all fake you know that right? Nobody has any evidence of this being real!
Here’s an idea: Summon the deer in SCP-682’s containment chamber, and wait till one dies. If the deer dies, you have someone to not worry about, if SCP-682 dies, you have someone to not worry about. It’s a win-win. There’s your immovable object.
For those who aren't familiarised to mythology, this creepy thing is based on the greek titan Cronos. You can tell by these pointless and gross rituals. The castrated man represents Uranus and the cannibalised person (which is originally a baby human) represents baby Zeus.

The Deer is even more difficult to contain than 682. There is no way to test anything with 2845 because any change in its containment could risk escape and 2845 is contained by a house of cards. 682 can be reliably contained by keeping it in acid, but 2845 is contained because it is fooled into thinking it is contained.
@@AdamWhistle1 pretty much. Not to mention the more terrifying fact that the deer would fight the lizard and since the lizard would survive, the deer might not stop or do something even more dangerous to destroy the lizard.

The consultants the Foundation brought in have made it pretty clear that containment of 2845 is complicated in nature but is quite easy to follow through on with the correct levels of capital. 682 on the other hand has a history of multiple containment breeches because unlike 2845 it can come up with novel attempts of escape and actively wants to kill its captors.
