At 1:15 you can actually see all the phantom thieves going on their way, queen and noir are the most difficult because of the angle but you can see queen's shadow doing wheelie on her "perbike",a very nice detail.

You know…. Some times I have to wonder what the Members of SEES/Shadow Operatives and the Investigation Team are doing when these world ending events are going down.
Considering they all went their seperate ways I'm pretty sure they dud what they could to protect themselves and the people around them. Even though they're adults by the time P5 takes place with the Metaverse merging they probably could have regained control of their Personas for a short while. Outside of that, SEES has to deal with meds to use their Personas outside of the Dark Hour, and the Investigation Team needs the TV world to summon them, so they probably couldn't have done anything, although I'd love to see Mitsuru recruit Yu and Joker and have them make a cameo near the end of P6 to save the world, but ultimately these games are meant to be entirely seperate stories.
This gacha game isn’t canon to the main universe, but as for the other games’ teams: P3’s Shadow Operatives seem to look into cognitive world-type incidents globally, so the active members could very well have been away from Tokyo on other business. I could definitely see them looking into mental shutdown incidents and the Phantom Thieves case, but Shido’s conspiracy was working pretty hard to keep things airtight to investigators and cover their tracks on all the cognitive world research. P4’s Investigation Team seem to have kind of settled down and gone into pursuing their individual passions and careers, so unless they happened to be in Tokyo I doubt there was any way for them to really do anything about things there. Inaba doesn’t seem to be particularly close by. Same deal with any P1-P2 characters. All of the above probably realized there were some cognitive world shenanigans afoot, but Yaldabaoth also quite literally gated off Mementos from anyone he didn’t personally choose to be a part of his game. If you don’t have access to the Meta-nav you’re not getting in, even if you’re already a Persona user. So likely there were some things going on behind the scenes but nothing that could have affected P5’s plot.
Every piece of information about this game, and I just start liking the new Protagonist (Wonder) more. Can’t wait to see how he’ll work in the story, and I love his Persona as well. And I like the fact that Wonder and Joker may have some sort of friendly rivalry or something (sure seems that way)
When Joker showed up it reminded me of that moment in anime when the team with a ton of experience helps the newbies in the background and you see the power difference. Goosbumps.
Unironically I think this is a huge improvement from P5R's opening, in the way that it was also kinda "low fps feel" but it managed to go way better with the music and feel more fluid

Yeah but I mean I get the hate for it being a gacha game, the past what few years have been nothing but gachas it’s so many to keep count and to keep up with. I’m like burnt out from them aside from like star rail because I like the story so far. But anything after or other than it’s just a huge sigh. I wouldn’t say it’s an alternate timeline but there’s two factions it’s just Joker group had the main focus and bigger threats. I thought alternate timeline at first but then I thought about zenkichi and Sophia in p5s with how the metaverse works or think of persona 4 ultimax . It makes sense there could be more than one group.

I really wish they'd come out with a Persona mobile game where each player is in an alternate universe with the main character being the only one that knows about the multiverse. The game would move in real time and all of our collective decisions impact the main story. Instead of just 1 year, the game could last the main character's entire three years of high school.
I know they always do a great job with Persona's openings but I confess that this one in particular made me very happy and excited, the animation, the music, the whole aesthetic and how the scenes were done, the Phantom Thieves and the Joker appearing, I was a little tired of Persona 5 and that's why I was going back to 3 now with the Reload but this and everything I've seen about the game is making me invigorated to see this new adventure like when I saw Persona 5 for the first time , mainly because of the characters
Honestly, the way Joker appeared on screen made it feel like this intro was supposed to be a “grand reunion” for the P5 cast, like how P3D’s intro was…The last P5 game was 5 months ago. I still LOVE this intro, I just think this game should’ve come out after a couple years of no P5 stuff. Same goes for P5D
That look between Joker and Wonder was so cool! I can’t wait to see the interactions between the new and old group! They’ve certainly teased us with some stuff already prior to this. Also the way Joker appears when Lyn sings “takeover” is just perfect👌

Some times I have to wonder what the Members of SEES/Shadow Operatives and the Investigation Team are doing when these world ending events are going down.
Mitsuru was probably very aware but couldn’t do anything if they had no knowledge of the metaverse
Absolutely nothing.
Considering they all went their seperate ways I'm pretty sure they dud what they could to protect themselves and the people around them. Even though they're adults by the time P5 takes place with the Metaverse merging they probably could have regained control of their Personas for a short while. Outside of that, SEES has to deal with meds to use their Personas outside of the Dark Hour, and the Investigation Team needs the TV world to summon them, so they probably couldn't have done anything, although I'd love to see Mitsuru recruit Yu and Joker and have them make a cameo near the end of P6 to save the world, but ultimately these games are meant to be entirely seperate stories.
This gacha game isn’t canon to the main universe, but as for the other games’ teams:
P3’s Shadow Operatives seem to look into cognitive world-type incidents globally, so the active members could very well have been away from Tokyo on other business. I could definitely see them looking into mental shutdown incidents and the Phantom Thieves case, but Shido’s conspiracy was working pretty hard to keep things airtight to investigators and cover their tracks on all the cognitive world research.
P4’s Investigation Team seem to have kind of settled down and gone into pursuing their individual passions and careers, so unless they happened to be in Tokyo I doubt there was any way for them to really do anything about things there. Inaba doesn’t seem to be particularly close by.
Same deal with any P1-P2 characters. All of the above probably realized there were some cognitive world shenanigans afoot, but Yaldabaoth also quite literally gated off Mementos from anyone he didn’t personally choose to be a part of his game. If you don’t have access to the Meta-nav you’re not getting in, even if you’re already a Persona user. So likely there were some things going on behind the scenes but nothing that could have affected P5’s plot.

Every piece of information about this game, and I just start liking the new Protagonist (Wonder) more. Can’t wait to see how he’ll work in the story, and I love his Persona as well. And I like the fact that Wonder and Joker may have some sort of friendly rivalry or something (sure seems that way)

When Joker showed up it reminded me of that moment in anime when the team with a ton of experience helps the newbies in the background and you see the power difference. Goosbumps.
Unironically I think this is a huge improvement from P5R's opening, in the way that it was also kinda "low fps feel" but it managed to go way better with the music and feel more fluid

Yeah but I mean I get the hate for it being a gacha game, the past what few years have been nothing but gachas it’s so many to keep count and to keep up with. I’m like burnt out from them aside from like star rail because I like the story so far. But anything after or other than it’s just a huge sigh.
I wouldn’t say it’s an alternate timeline but there’s two factions it’s just Joker group had the main focus and bigger threats. I thought alternate timeline at first but then I thought about zenkichi and Sophia in p5s with how the metaverse works or think of persona 4 ultimax . It makes sense there could be more than one group.

For the hate aspect yeah at the starting I saw some people hate on it but slowly it has shown so many improvements and turned out to really surprise alot of people
It'll just be really shitty for people to not appreciate the work that has been put in yeah ? I mean I get if gachas isn't someone's cup of tea but just blatantly hating the game without any real reason so far is a bit off putting personally

Man I always love this animation studio for the intro and cutscenes for persona 5! I wish the same care was taken more so with Persona 3s not to say they’re bad just persona 5s always has felt really solid

I really wish they'd come out with a Persona mobile game where each player is in an alternate universe with the main character being the only one that knows about the multiverse. The game would move in real time and all of our collective decisions impact the main story. Instead of just 1 year, the game could last the main character's entire three years of high school.
They did not need to go this hard, but I sure glad they did
I know they always do a great job with Persona's openings but I confess that this one in particular made me very happy and excited, the animation, the music, the whole aesthetic and how the scenes were done, the Phantom Thieves and the Joker appearing, I was a little tired of Persona 5 and that's why I was going back to 3 now with the Reload but this and everything I've seen about the game is making me invigorated to see this new adventure like when I saw Persona 5 for the first time , mainly because of the characters
Honestly, the way Joker appeared on screen made it feel like this intro was supposed to be a “grand reunion” for the P5 cast, like how P3D’s intro was…The last P5 game was 5 months ago. I still LOVE this intro, I just think this game should’ve come out after a couple years of no P5 stuff. Same goes for P5D
