Miku's humble beginnings.
I remember watching this video over ten years ago when I was getting into Vocaloid. I was probably around 12 at the time and still in school - now I'm a 22-year old uni student, and I still adore Vocaloid and Miku. :)
(Though I still want a magic idol singer anime about Miku after all this time lol.)
This was the first vocaloid song I heard. I had no idea what it was at the time.

Miku is a VOCALOID program, which is basically a synthetic computerized voice made for singing. There are actually lots of different vocaloid programs, each with their own different voice and mascot. The hatsune miku vocaloid is just the most popular to the point where the hatsune miku mascot has basically gone viral on EVERYTHING, to the point where , yes, she does have her own anime even though shes just a mascot for a vocaloid program.
@PANDACRAP1 You can buy it at apple store, download from nico douga, rip the songs from youtube, or search for the albums at forums, they are not that hard to find =D

MMD is MikuMikuDance is a program where you use 3D models of different Vocaloid characters (Such as Miku Hatsune) and manipulate them to make them dance.

there is an official manga by the person who made her character design and all the other's designs on their boxarts for the program. It doesn't really have a solid storyline more like a bunch of unrelated one-shots but its really cute~!
