Plenty of water underfoot and it looked like it was flowing from everywhere. Definitely a view that is hard to beat from the head of Ben Crom Reservoir, especially on an evening like that☀ and cool to have it all to yourself - during the week? It looked like a beautiful night to be outdoors with all the stars out. Some of our more usual weather🌨 to finish. The new tent looks pretty cool👍👍
A nice Wednesday afternoon bonus Dave. It’s a great spot down by Ben Crom. That tent looks mighty and it’s hard to beat a tarp set up. Really enjoyed watching it 👍.
Class watch Dave, never came across the Nortent brand before, for a young brand they seem to be very good! Must look into them a bit more, could be a contender for my next tent! Thanks for sharing, ATB. Gary
I think that poles are fine for all I’m doing , usually wouldn’t head out in really bad weather . Would be nice to upgrade to DAC just for peace of mind that it will take a bit of a hammering .
I’m looking for a solo p1 to maybe small p2 with enough headroom at least 100cm and wide enough for a 64cm (25-inch) wide mat plus maybe another 30cm just enough to squeeze some gear inside. Any suggestions? I already have a 3p Nemo Osmo Dagger for adventuring with a friend. I like a little bit extra space.
if you want an ultralight tent for summer , autumn the oex bandicoot 2 UL is a great tent for space and your kit . Helm 2 good tent but a bit heavier , both good head room . My next video features the bandicoot 2 UL keep and eye out for that . Cheers
I also have the vern 1 and there have been problems with the poles when the winds are over 40mph as they have bent and even snapped so I will be looking up for stronger one for mine just to let you know as you don't want to get caught out.
Perfect place to pitch. Stunning scenery, love the tent. 🙂👍
Great video. Just back from this spot a few nights back, was an amazing spot. I was lucky and got it all to myself as well (went on a Monday night)

A friend of mine fishes alpine lakes like that in Utah. The clarity of the water is amazing!!!
Heading to this exact spot to camp tomorrow night! Can’t wait!

Good to meet you yesterday. This was the video I watched last week. I recognised your jacket.

def worth the money 👌
Great location by the look of it, and I still love the Vern 1 in spite of recent pole issues, may buy myself one.

@@adventurousdavee It is a beautiful tent. I’d need to choose between standard and poly cotton but either way it is super
Its a wide pad?
