    I was about to buy a crimping tool for this and thought, hey couldn’t I just use a bench Vice. I don’t have one but been wanting to get one and much more multiple usage out of a bench Vice than a crimping tool.

    A simple 'flaring tool' used in a vise does a much better job of this. I have a video on my channel how I did it.

      @@DivineSpeed it's a great easy method. I have made numerous heavy cables this way. Far better that the neanderthal hammer tool method.

    I noticed your lugs come from China, I will not use those, there are better lugs on the market. Good idea though to use a vice for crimping.

      He prolly got the 2awg lugs at Harbor Freight (2) in a package for $2.50. I suppose he could have used higher quality lugs but they will most likely last, prolly not a noticeable issue for the next 20 years. It's not going to the moon.
