A tech I missed is to swap Alhaitham out during his burst, and swap him back in. You can still get your mirrors from your burst if you're quick enough! I'll be making a full video on this tech as well.

If the wolflord didn't float too high to reach for many characters, that wouldn't be a particularly impressive feat. My borderline-f2p teams could single-cycle if they could reach, but they never seem to get more than 30% before losing range, and there's basically nothing I can do but wait for what feels like 10 minutes for it to come down, only to have to do even more waiting cause the annoying turret things spawned and great, now it's invincible.
that boss is really easy even with a no geo team tbh, you just need chzracters that can actually reach it lol characterw like kokomi, xingqiu, yelan, ganyu etc
I know it doesnt have to do with Alhaitham, but i just wanna note how incredible it is that traveller is still a good choice about halfway through version 3. I thought for sure they would've released someone who was a straight upgrade by now, but all we have is Nahida. Dont get me wrong, Nahida destroys DMC any day but the Deepwood set bonus combined with both of them having EM sharing make them work along side one another very well. Good job on Hoyo taking balance very seriously.
It is all thanx to the dendro element being stupidly OP, even Collei with her stupid designed kit cuz Mihoyo hates her still a decent option and a functional one in so many teams, not the best but seriously dendro is just second to Anemo if not as good in term of overall utility
Mihoyo learned from the Electro Traveler Fiasco that just because is free shouldn't be bad (best personal aether dmg: 20k E with kuki, 40k Q with bennett)
Al Haitham can't really replace DMC because they fill completely different roles. The only Dendro character released so far that can replace him is Nahida, but Collei is a worse version of DMC so they replaced her instead.
Itto with smol muscle: Uses claymore Alhaitham with big muscle: Uses sword I'm worried that Alhaitham might break the sword because of how mucsular he is. He looks more suited to be a claymore user with muscles that big
Honestly I believe Itto has the same amount of muscle as him. It's just that Alhaitham's clothes of choice makes them stand out more. Itto's covered the upper portion of his arms thus the main focus is towards his seemingly small lower arms. Compared to Thoma, Alhaitham's arms look as big as his and he's not considered a buff character in any way. It's just the black and dark color that makes them stands out. They use the same model after all, Hoyoverse is not putting much diversity though I may know the reason why.
Alhaitham: - Have a buff body - Flex when attack - Weird clothing style - Produce levitating ghost leaves that act like stand - Perform 20m emerald splash Alhaitham is a Jojo character.
Hoping Kaveh is a dendro shielder (also a buffer in ascension passive or constellation at least) so he can effectively protect you from burgeon and Nilou's bountiful core explosion since his shield will definitely have 250% dmg absorption against dendro
Not good in Nilou's case, since her passive gives you EM Bonus on you getting hit by Dendro DMG, so Nilou's kit is thought to be played with a Healer, not a Shielder

And on Nilou's talent description, it only says when you get "hit" by dendro attacks, not necessarily take dmg from it. Not really sure tho since there's no shielder from dendro and hydro element yet, but maybe try fighting geo enemies and force them to produce hydro crystallize, pick it up and see if it still works or not.

I kinda figured out the plunge attack to help generate mirrors, I saw it a lot in gameplay from other people playing him. Plunging for 3 mirrors is so much faster and easier! It’s a very goo trick that I’ll be using myself!
I didn't even know about the plunge, when I first used his test trial, the first thing that went to mind was how hard it was to get a good flow with gaining mirrors. Now it's just easy, switch to alhaitam last when his burst is ready, use Skill, plunge, then burst, easy max dmg
@@itz_andi9691 what he means is using the teleporting skill for 2 mirrors followed by a plunge attack for that extra mirror. Then use burst, switch to a MainDPS character, repeat. Though this method would mean alhaitam would be a SubDPS but would still let out a LOT of damage
@@eg-draw I am using Keqing aggravate, I replaced Nahida with Yaoyao, the clear time is slower but it's a safer team compared to no healer and you can finally use this team against wolves.
That time, can be done with C2 Raiden Hyper Carry or C1 Hu Tao Double Hydro. Imagine doing that with team with Kuki, dendro MC xD. No reason he got nerfed.

That just a blatant lie, most characters were buff in beta, Ayato and Yae's kits were even so clunky that they had to be reworked completely. Alhaitham was the only one that truely got nerf in beta, according to TC calculations even with pre nerf he's only close to Hutao, Ayaka level, still less though, and he was the closest we have to a T0 dps since Raiden, so 50% of the cast is gonna be Hutao is completely false. Yes, the nerf is only 6%, but no he doesn't fit into more team. By moving his dmg from Q to E, now he has to be on field most of the time to deal dmg, compared with the pre nerf version, he has the option to be a burst dps too.

Not really. Raiden, Nahida, Xingqiu and Yelan hyperbloom can one cycle Wolflord and much faster than him. Hyperbloom is such a broken and overturned reaction. Haitham isn't the one doing the damage, it's the reaction. Hyperbloom is just THAT broken. Replace him with anyone it will do the same. So I don't think it's anything to be impressed by

Alhaitham looks like a lovechild of Keqing and Childe tbh. - On-field Element Driver for their element - Possible 20+s on field uptime like Childe (inoptimal but only Childe can do this really) - Skill teleporter like Keqing - Dendro Keqing burst - Burst into NA/E+NA like Childe and Keqing lol

@@arieru95 but if you utilise his kit well, he can stay infused with dendro up to 20s+ while as keqing only 5s (not counting the duration of elemental skill/burst)
@@arieru95 energy problem can be solved through battery supports and without his burst, he can still have dendro infused uptime for 12s. You can also pull his C1 if you want reduced skill cooldown which mostly useful for exploration and QoL but for abyss with team rotation, its a useless constellation
I didn't expect much from him bc of al the nerfs but DAMN IS HE FUN AND STRONG! Also all the abyss showcases i see use him in 12 first half, but he is AMAZING in second half. Even mine with so-so artefacts by my standard (4pc guilded and harbinger of dawn,90, 9-10-8). I put him in a team with deepwood nahida, millelith kuki and instructor zhongli and not only did i clear this abyss without swaping teams for the first time, but i only had to reset ONCE on chamber 2 (used double hydro tao with diona on first half btw). In conclusin im pleasantly surprised and glad i stayed true to my simping:) Good luck in abyss everyone.
I am rolling him but im not too sold on him when its just dendro carrying and not his raw damage. Feels like Nahida double hydro kuki/raiden team is better than double dendro Al Haitham teams but he just...looks so fun and pretty....i cant resist
Well the thing you are missing is that Hyperbloom is just OP no matter what characters you use. But nahida doesn't do much dmg by herself other than Hyperbloom, whereas Alheitham does.
Nahida's cracked buffing abilities and off-field damage and Alhaitham's nasty on-field personal damage make a broken pair, right? I really don't get the comparison between the two when the only thing similar about them is their damn element.
Watching this to decide if I want him, I only skipped for his elemental skill cool down being 17 seconds, but the reactions are good, thanks for convincing me to pre farm
If you have Nahida you're not missing out on any teams aside from using them together, but you can also use any other Dendro character with Nahida if you want two Dendro for something. He's good but you don't need him. Similar to Hu Tao/Ayaka/Yoimiya/Ganyu. They have good teams and can 36* abyss, but you don't need all of them. If you like them then you can 36* abyss with them as shown in the video, but there are other options. Nahida + Kuki + Xingqiu is ready a broken core anything else is just extra. You can use Venti/Sucrose/Kazuha for VV and crowd control, Zhongli for shield, Beidou for Shield + DMG, lots of options for that team. Yelan is the most meta character on these 3.4 banners due to being an off field support that works on many teams. She's very similar to Xingqiu so you could run her in the other half if you're using him for hyperbloom in the first half, or use them together for the very broken double hydro team core. Even still if you don't like her you don't need her to 36*. I say this as someone without her who just got Alhaitham ^-^

From someone who played keqing a lot, he does feel different and you dont play at all like her. I would say the feeling is closer to Eula but thats just my tought.
@@centvire7035 As someone who plays both, his animations look similar but that’s really it. His playstyle is centered around his mirrors so you have to manage your combos correctly to get as much uptime as you can while Keqing is rather simple. I prefer more micromanagement in fighting as it makes it more interesting so I think Alhaitham is more fun than Keqing but if you like simplicity better than Keqing will resonate with you more.

I was excited for Alhaitham about 6 months ago, but its hard to be excited for any new characters in this game anymore when building them is such a pointless grind.
Honestly speaking I was very sad after his nerf but as someone who doesn't care about damage anymore since I can do abyss easily I just need a character that looks good so I pulled for him. I wasn't expecting him to be that great especially in quick spread. Plus with the amount of farming I did for Nahida and Cyno he is basically good to go as long as people give me chance to farm those pupa in their world.
Dendro Keqing was not what I was hoping to get when I saw Alhaitham months ago. Been saving since and not super happy with his official release. He seems, lazy... But I will probably get him and test him out with yelan
Doesn't seem lazy. His mechanic is lots more complex than Keqing. Seems like people never learn, eh? Amber - Ganyu, Sucrose - Kazuha, Barbara - Kokomi, Fischl - Raiden and now Keqing - Al'Haitham. All of those drama, just because they LOOKS similar. Edit: I just remember. Xingqiu - Yelan. Looks the same but different ICD and passives. Look at how much people wanting her rerun now.

I already mention all the characters above. And everyone of them always go through the same "criticism" which later on always proven wrong because of the mechanics. Criticism is usually something that is needed to make a change. A judges critic a performer so they can change for the better. But this almost never been the case for Genshin. Instead the performer the one who change, it's the judges who change their opinions. Just like how people change their opinion about Kokomi, Kazuha, Raiden, Yelan, etc. So far the actual criticism about the characters are Zhongli and Yae Miko. Yae Miko is more apparent since not only CN players but Global also gave the same feedback.
That was justified when nobody knew what his kit does but honestly the only similarity the two has are the fact that they’re both onfield. I guess every On field infusion sword dps characters when be stripped down only to “That element Keqing🤡” and besides compared to Keqing which is essentially Aggravate and maybe Hyperbloom Alhaitham can work in many teams as a driver. If you don’t have Nahida or don’t plan on pulling for her he’ll be a good sidegrade The mirrors in his kit is actually a reference to the IRL person he’s based off of. His burst is sorta like two mirrors reflecting lasers killing everything in it and it’s sick so nice attention to detail. Does Keqing also has this? Does he need to tap e twice? Does he need 3 seconds to be able to move again from his burst? No. And isn’t Keqing just copied and paste Vergil? At least his attacks and concept isn’t taken from another game 🤷♂️ At least he’s Original and feels like the devs who designed him loved making him. They just balanced him so the female dps would put damage him still. Also his burst fits his personality so greatly. Him just standing there watching his experiment seceded without even having to moving a single inch. Keqing is truly the character that feels lazy in comparison. Guess I’ll start calling her Electro Alhaitham but worse
@@nyx4074 my point was less about the mechanics, but a critique on the visual aspect. Visually speaking, there's enough variety with your examples to make them their own character. With this one, the teleport, the wish-woosh burst. You recognize it, and it feels lazy. Not that it is. It just feels like it. And when you're spending for characters, you either care for the meta, or how you feel about the character.
"Alhaitham is mid" Sure is, ftp build, ftp team, one cycle bosses in overworld and Abyss, including the Wolflord, at c0. Glad that i ignore the waifu meta slaves. Will take time to build him, but i am happy i got him.
I went to 80 pity, got Mona then got Alhaitham the first pull after 💀that’s the 4th time I’ve gotten back to back 5 stars, idek how I’ve been that lucky.
Something I really appreciate about him is that although he outputs insane amounts of damage, even just on his own, he's not OOGA BOOGA PRESS BUTTON!!! You have to put a little thought into using him, and I feel not only is that accurate to his (coughautisticcough) character but it's also a nice change to have to think a bit about his abilities. The Burst > NA > CA > NA > Skill > NA combo is nice to keep his three mirrors up.
Alhaitham is my most invested non C6 5star and the dude destroys everything I run him with r4 light of foliar incision with 84:223 crit ratio and you best believe next time he comes around in taking his ass from c1 to c6. Not c6ing him is easily one of my biggest regrets especially now that I’ve completely grasped his full kit

His normal and charged attacks have separate ICD. Charged attacks icd has a 2s timer. His E ICD also resets every 12 seconds.
Each projection has it's one icd and trigger reaction with every second hit. That's why 2 and 3 mirrors have such a big DPS difference
So happy to hear he’s good! I’m eager to run him with my current main, Keqing- should be a very nimble, high mobility team.
Might be hard to run because they both require on field time. But maybe with an electro battery it could work who knows

I didn't even know about the plunge, when I first used his test trial, the first thing that went to mind was how hard it was to get a good flow with gaining mirrors. Now it's just easy, switch to alhaitam last when his burst is ready, use Skill, plunge, then burst, easy max dmg
Thats not how it works... plunging or charged attacks give only 1 mirror. His burst gives him 3 if u dont have any and his skill gives him 2
@@itz_andi9691 what he means is using the teleporting skill for 2 mirrors followed by a plunge attack for that extra mirror. Then use burst, switch to a MainDPS character, repeat. Though this method would mean alhaitam would be a SubDPS but would still let out a LOT of damage

@@eg-draw I am using Keqing aggravate, I replaced Nahida with Yaoyao, the clear time is slower but it's a safer team compared to no healer and you can finally use this team against wolves.

That time, can be done with C2 Raiden Hyper Carry or C1 Hu Tao Double Hydro. Imagine doing that with team with Kuki, dendro MC xD. No reason he got nerfed.

That just a blatant lie, most characters were buff in beta, Ayato and Yae's kits were even so clunky that they had to be reworked completely. Alhaitham was the only one that truely got nerf in beta, according to TC calculations even with pre nerf he's only close to Hutao, Ayaka level, still less though, and he was the closest we have to a T0 dps since Raiden, so 50% of the cast is gonna be Hutao is completely false.
Yes, the nerf is only 6%, but no he doesn't fit into more team. By moving his dmg from Q to E, now he has to be on field most of the time to deal dmg, compared with the pre nerf version, he has the option to be a burst dps too.

Not really. Raiden, Nahida, Xingqiu and Yelan hyperbloom can one cycle Wolflord and much faster than him. Hyperbloom is such a broken and overturned reaction. Haitham isn't the one doing the damage, it's the reaction. Hyperbloom is just THAT broken. Replace him with anyone it will do the same. So I don't think it's anything to be impressed by

@@arieru95 but if you utilise his kit well, he can stay infused with dendro up to 20s+ while as keqing only 5s (not counting the duration of elemental skill/burst)

@@arieru95 energy problem can be solved through battery supports and without his burst, he can still have dendro infused uptime for 12s. You can also pull his C1 if you want reduced skill cooldown which mostly useful for exploration and QoL but for abyss with team rotation, its a useless constellation

I didn't expect much from him bc of al the nerfs but DAMN IS HE FUN AND STRONG!
Also all the abyss showcases i see use him in 12 first half, but he is AMAZING in second half. Even mine with so-so artefacts by my standard (4pc guilded and harbinger of dawn,90, 9-10-8). I put him in a team with deepwood nahida, millelith kuki and instructor zhongli and not only did i clear this abyss without swaping teams for the first time, but i only had to reset ONCE on chamber 2 (used double hydro tao with diona on first half btw).
In conclusin im pleasantly surprised and glad i stayed true to my simping:)

Well the thing you are missing is that Hyperbloom is just OP no matter what characters you use.
But nahida doesn't do much dmg by herself other than Hyperbloom, whereas Alheitham does.

I think that what did most of the job on the Wolford was the Hyperbloom. Something that Nihida could do too, but doesn't need the second Dendro.
it does need a second dendro to run deepwood memories. Also, nahida and alhaitham can be run in the same team, they synergize
Nahida's cracked buffing abilities and off-field damage and Alhaitham's nasty on-field personal damage make a broken pair, right? I really don't get the comparison between the two when the only thing similar about them is their damn element.

No. You won't regret him if you want him, but you won't miss him if you don't have him.
If you have Nahida you're not missing out on any teams aside from using them together, but you can also use any other Dendro character with Nahida if you want two Dendro for something.
He's good but you don't need him. Similar to Hu Tao/Ayaka/Yoimiya/Ganyu. They have good teams and can 36* abyss, but you don't need all of them. If you like them then you can 36* abyss with them as shown in the video, but there are other options.
Nahida + Kuki + Xingqiu is ready a broken core anything else is just extra. You can use Venti/Sucrose/Kazuha for VV and crowd control, Zhongli for shield, Beidou for Shield + DMG, lots of options for that team.
Yelan is the most meta character on these 3.4 banners due to being an off field support that works on many teams. She's very similar to Xingqiu so you could run her in the other half if you're using him for hyperbloom in the first half, or use them together for the very broken double hydro team core.
Even still if you don't like her you don't need her to 36*. I say this as someone without her who just got Alhaitham ^-^

His playstyle is centered around his mirrors so you have to manage your combos correctly to get as much uptime as you can while Keqing is rather simple. I prefer more micromanagement in fighting as it makes it more interesting so I think Alhaitham is more fun than Keqing but if you like simplicity better than Keqing will resonate with you more.

Honestly speaking I was very sad after his nerf but as someone who doesn't care about damage anymore since I can do abyss easily I just need a character that looks good so I pulled for him. I wasn't expecting him to be that great especially in quick spread. Plus with the amount of farming I did for Nahida and Cyno he is basically good to go as long as people give me chance to farm those pupa in their world.
Dendro Keqing was not what I was hoping to get when I saw Alhaitham months ago. Been saving since and not super happy with his official release. He seems, lazy... But I will probably get him and test him out with yelan
Doesn't seem lazy. His mechanic is lots more complex than Keqing. Seems like people never learn, eh? Amber - Ganyu, Sucrose - Kazuha, Barbara - Kokomi, Fischl - Raiden and now Keqing - Al'Haitham. All of those drama, just because they LOOKS similar.
Edit: I just remember. Xingqiu - Yelan. Looks the same but different ICD and passives. Look at how much people wanting her rerun now.

I already mention all the characters above. And everyone of them always go through the same "criticism" which later on always proven wrong because of the mechanics.
Criticism is usually something that is needed to make a change. A judges critic a performer so they can change for the better. But this almost never been the case for Genshin. Instead the performer the one who change, it's the judges who change their opinions. Just like how people change their opinion about Kokomi, Kazuha, Raiden, Yelan, etc. So far the actual criticism about the characters are Zhongli and Yae Miko. Yae Miko is more apparent since not only CN players but Global also gave the same feedback.
That was justified when nobody knew what his kit does but honestly the only similarity the two has are the fact that they’re both onfield. I guess every On field infusion sword dps characters when be stripped down only to “That element Keqing🤡” and besides compared to Keqing which is essentially Aggravate and maybe Hyperbloom Alhaitham can work in many teams as a driver. If you don’t have Nahida or don’t plan on pulling for her he’ll be a good sidegrade
The mirrors in his kit is actually a reference to the IRL person he’s based off of. His burst is sorta like two mirrors reflecting lasers killing everything in it and it’s sick so nice attention to detail. Does Keqing also has this? Does he need to tap e twice? Does he need 3 seconds to be able to move again from his burst? No. And isn’t Keqing just copied and paste Vergil? At least his attacks and concept isn’t taken from another game 🤷♂️
At least he’s Original and feels like the devs who designed him loved making him. They just balanced him so the female dps would put damage him still. Also his burst fits his personality so greatly. Him just standing there watching his experiment seceded without even having to moving a single inch.
Keqing is truly the character that feels lazy in comparison. Guess I’ll start calling her Electro Alhaitham but worse
@@nyx4074 my point was less about the mechanics, but a critique on the visual aspect. Visually speaking, there's enough variety with your examples to make them their own character. With this one, the teleport, the wish-woosh burst. You recognize it, and it feels lazy.

Dendro is getting so broken now that I didn't even needed to use kazuha in order to clear 12-3 abyss.
Something I really appreciate about him is that although he outputs insane amounts of damage, even just on his own, he's not OOGA BOOGA PRESS BUTTON!!! You have to put a little thought into using him, and I feel not only is that accurate to his (coughautisticcough) character but it's also a nice change to have to think a bit about his abilities.
The Burst > NA > CA > NA > Skill > NA combo is nice to keep his three mirrors up.

Alhaitham is my most invested non C6 5star and the dude destroys everything I run him with r4 light of foliar incision with 84:223 crit ratio and you best believe next time he comes around in taking his ass from c1 to c6. Not c6ing him is easily one of my biggest regrets especially now that I’ve completely grasped his full kit
