i actually feel like this music video is a breath of fresh air,, theres too many build set and green screen focused music videos its getting a little too much when its just special effects and fake stuff, this simple nature focused music video is a very welcomed change for me. personally love the most mvs that have a story for example monsta x dramarama but this was really nice too. theyre a relatively new group and theyve tried all different styles for every comeback and never disappoint. in the future when well look back on oneus discography its gonna be nice to see how their music never feels like its stuck in one place
☆i’d appreciate if everyone read this☆ there’s an extremely famous korean poet named yoon dongju (yes, the one xion shares a name with) from the wwii period when korea was colonized under imperialist japan. one of yoon’s most well known, popular poems is “a poem written easily” (쉽게 쓰여진 시) sound familiar? it’s literally in the exact grammatical structure as “a song written easily”, they just swapped the word “poem” into “song”. (쉽게 쓰여진 노래 vs. 쉽게 쓰여진 시) “a poem written easily” was written when yoon studied abroad in japan (back then bc korea was colonized, all korean scholars went to study in japan. the country was taken over by the japanese and at one point the korean language was banned in korea so the only way for smart people to continue their studies was so go to japan. these people who came to study abroad fared better than those back in korea, although they still weren’t treated equal to the japanese). in the poem, yoon was expressing his guilt for being able to write a poem so easily when the rest of his country was suffering under such dehumanizing circumstances. he, like many others, felt like a traitor to koreans bc he was faring well in the very country that was killing his people. some of the thoughts conveyed in his poem were “how can my mind be so at peace right now? how is it that i can write so easily when my country is in such devastation? i feel like i should be helping, but all i can do is write this stupidly beautiful poem.” i think “a song written easily” is a parody to yoon’s poem. the titles are so strikingly similar, the poem was the first thing that came to my mind when i saw it. and it makes sense, too- the sorrowful, almost nostalgic tone and mellifluous voices. *both the poem and the song talk about being able to write/express feelings so easily in a time where one should be numb with sadness.* except in the song, the sadness is portrayed through a breakup between a guy and a girl). it’s a famous enough poem that it makes sense that the song was based off of it. it brings so much emotional attachment and sentiment to an already amazing song.
I don't think "parody" is the right word... from what you described, it's more of a homage? Because a parody is a radicalisation which this definitely isn't. That said, wow, that is such an interesting idea! I didn't know that, thank you for sharing it! I love such theories and this makes a lot of sense. It makes me love the song even more ^-^
I think that this comeback was scheduled to be released later this year but then they've been confirmed to be a part of road to kingdom so they had to release something quickly before the program (and onewe's comeback has been postponed to april to not overlap)
at first i thought like well why so little views and all said it didnt get much marketed. So i think like you that they wanted to put something out cus their last comeback was 5 months old and you dont want go into a competion without a comeback.
Hwanwoong's visuals have always been incredible but must say this one is his best so far (although I cannot shake his 'prince' look in LIT out of my brain... Damn he looked gorgeous there!)
ONEUS are going to be on Road to Kingdom along with Pentagon, The Boyz, ONF, Verivery, Golden Child and TOO. I hope you'll check it out PD! Maybe you can react to it on Patreon like you did with Queendom
the whistling is done by onewe's vocalist, jin yonghoon. speaking of onewe, i hope you'll be reacting to their next comeback! hwasa's gonna be featured so it's gonna be fireeee
I can definitely see where you’re coming from with this! I didnt even think of the OST side of the song but it makes complete sense now. I personally love the song, not my favourite but still love it. It gets really stuck in your head after a while and it’s just a nice one to listen to in any mood. The whistling is in the official version too I feel like I’m slightly biased towards the MV because it was filmed near my home town (in the North Island of New Zealand) It’s actually filmed in the same place that Mamamoo did Starry Night! Not all identical locations of course, but the area is the same. If you look closely you can also see that the jagged path is where they filmed part of Lord of the Rings haha
I'm also from NZ and so have the same connection and want to love it because of that fact, lol. However, I think Starry Night was filmed further north mostly in the Auckland area (Cornwallis beach, Bethells beach and downtown Akl) whereas ASWE looks to be more around the Wellington area? The city shots are definitely in Welly and Leedo's solo scene is at the Putangirua Pinnacles. Correct me if i'm wrong though! I'm also curious about whether some was shot in the South Island or other areas?
K_airo Starry Night was around that area, I’m not entirely certain where this one was. It does look like it was a bit further south but I don’t think they went to the South Island for any of it. I think I heard something about filming near Matamata and some of the scenes being near the Starry Night sets but I could be wrong, just passing stuff that I’ve heard on social media. Wellington definitely seems accurate though!
Honestly the music video wasn’t as out there/in your face as their other ones (I still really liked it tho) but in my opinion the lyrics and song really make it meaningful and really add to everything, like it just makes me feel all sentimental 🥺
Honestly, I was meanig to stan them for a very long time and this comeback made me fall in love with the group. I literally have the song on loop (not 24/7 but a lot of time) and I simply cannot get over how good it sounds and feels. I got myself interested in them when I found out about onewe, which I stan since debut, and found kinda fun their groups were similar. I knew about this group before but was just a casual listener. Anyway, back to the track. I read somewhere a member said it was a song made to be sad when sang alone but happy when sang in group. The sound and the lyrics may seem the opposite sometimes and I'm not sure but that duality is just... mesmerizing. I know it isn't something innovative but that just added to my overall experience when listening to the song and I have to mention I reaaally love Leedo's rap and the prechorus. I find them very pleasing to the ear and oh man, the MV is more than satisfactory. (I come back to say I also love Ravn's rap too... well I like the whole song lol, the bridge might be the weakest part in my opinion though) I love the visuals and the locations! I somewhat get Mamamoo's Starry Night vibes. To sum it up, wow, the song is beautiful and it made me want to stan them real bad. I know all the names and I can differentiate them easier than expected, so I hope I could fit into fandom! BTW, I don't know how the fandom is called, could someone tell me if there's an official name?
As someone who is deeply in love with ONEUS and every single thing they do, despite how much I love all their previous title tracks (and that is A LOT), for me personally, this one absolutely blew them all out of the water. I can't even begin to describe how much I love this song and MV. Everything about this is more my style; it's so easy to watch and listen to, but the song is still catchy - I became addicted as soon as I watched the first teaser! Buuut I always find my opinions are in the minority, lol. I think I'm probably a bit exhausted from all the special effects and everything that go into most MVs, since I find that sort of thing easily overwhelming, so that might be a big part of why I love this so much.
I saw a "goddamn, he's beautiful" meme on Twitter and had to come watch this just for that because that is a whole MOOD!! 🤣🤣 Woongie is GORGEOUS! 😍 This song has been stuck I'm my head since it came out and I LOVE it!! 🥰
@@thezokil tf is wrong with you. This is a comment section free for people who are a multi stan. No-one cares if you have a problem with it because this is not your channel. If PD doesn't like it, they would of addressed it in lives many times.
It's always so interesting to hear your opinions! Honestly I agree, I don't think it's their best song nor their best video, but yes indeed it's a good song and a beautiful mv~ The way you love Ravn is the best, to me his rap is the highlight of the song, it makes it stand out from other kpop ballad-y tracks. I do think that something strange went on with RBW. Onewe had announced they were working on a new album even before Oneus, on january 30th or so. And we all expected a full album next from Oneus. Yet suddenly they fly to New Zealand and release a single album, before Onewe, and Onewe's cb will be followed by another comeback a month after? They also admitted to have rushed the choreography a bit, and the release was barely 3 weeks after the shoot. The changing point... probably Oneus' Road to kingdom participation. Makes me think Onewe's was pushed back and Oneus released early two songs for their future full album as a way to help them do well in the show and later release the full album after the RTK promo. Rambling aside, that was a very enjoyable video! Stay safe! ^^
I really like this CB honestly one of my favourite from them. I'm with them since debut and I love all their title tracks but maybe I needed sentimental music these days and that's why I love it so much
I think that maybe the reason the song sounds kind of like a typical pop song is because the story behind it is that the members wrote it thinking of the person they just broke up with, hoping they might hear it. They ask multiple time in the lyrics “will you listen to this song?” “if you listen to this song..” so maybe the pop style is actually part of the story. They try to make the song something that might just play on the radio in hopes that their lover might have a chance of hearing it and hearing all the things they never got to say.
Leedo said that he tried to write a slow rap portion for the song since it's sentimental and for him it wasn't easy but I think both him and Ravn did a great job with their rap writing, the lyrics are really written easily I feel like but the raps top the song and make it better! Since this one is a single and not fully promotion comeback, before they go to Road to Kingdom and release more songs in there, this was a nice gift to us To Moons ♥ I'm really glad that they released something before Road to Kingdom :) Thank you PD for your work ~

I love oneus diversity ❤️ but did you know this is single album comeback. Not the usual comeback but still a bops. Many fans said this is for bside track for full album soon but as pandemic and road to kingdom happened, rbw like rushing to make comeback 👀
This MV is so much more relaxed. I feel like other MV’s are so intense and have a lot going on but this was just relaxed. You can watch it once and see everything. I really liked this compared to their other MV’s, although I loved all the music

Hi PD-nim im not sure whether you've reacted to Oneus Road to Kingdom stage but could you do so if you haven't? They did a cover on H.O.T sunbae-nim's Warrior's Descendant! Watch the full ver if you are interested since the normal version has others reacting to it and does not show the performance that well! Keep it up!
Thats actually fine with me, cos its PD so still looks like quality. Love to see this is not affecting your motivation to make videos. Looking forward to your videos.
You described my feelings with this comeback soo good!! I like the song and I think they do well doing this comeback with a "easy" song with this sigle album So I'm sure they will do a fabulous work in their next comeback Thank u PD tomoon for this And I'm with you: Close up MYBOY!!!
First of all: the crabs on the tv Made me laugh hard, second of all: the song isn’t a powerful song like the previous ones i agree but i enjoyed very much and think it’s a great song, the MV is stunning omg, third of all: Ravn?, PD you have taste😉
Thank you PD ❤️ I love the song and the album, hide and seek is amazing too! Hope you can check that one 😊 idk if you knew that ONEUS is going on MNET's new program "road to kingdom", I think that's why this looks so pulled out of nowhere lol but I think is so beautiful anyway, again thank you for your reaction 😍❤️
He already reacted to reveal and ice age so he will probably post those some time in the next week or so , and there’s like a zero percent chance he won’t react to Fallin flower ( it might only be on Patreon ,or without sound on UA-cam) Hope it helps 😊
i do agree that this comeback does feel like a more b roll type of thing but this is still an amazing song! i think that with how long its been since their last comeback and also their appearance on rtk being so soon they wanted to put out something rather quickly. i do think this is one of my top oneus songs tho, i cant explain it but this song just is really comforting to me especially with whats going on in the world today
so this is actually a single rather than a full, or even mini, album! we are pretty sure that they were going to have a comeback later in the year and then pushed this forward so they have something to promote while on road to kingdom, which is why the music video is a bit more minimal than their previous releases

im not sure whether you've reacted to Oneus Road to Kingdom stage but could you do so if you haven't?
They did a cover on H.O.T sunbae-nim's Warrior's Descendant!
Watch the full ver if you are interested since the normal version has others reacting to it and does not show the performance that well!
Keep it up!
Thats actually fine with me, cos its PD so still looks like quality. Love to see this is not affecting your motivation to make videos. Looking forward to your videos.
Easily my favorite Title Track
I’m so early it’s kinda crazy love this song though
I squealed so loudly when I saw you had reacted to this! I wasn't expecting that.
I really liked the song and the whistle. This song was very touching
The crabs dancing in the background to the sound of the music i cant ahahahah
i really like this song 🥺 i hope they do well on road to kingdom 👑
Please do a video on ONEWE's End of Spring, PD. ❤️
Leedo's singing part is def my favorite part of the song
PD! i love this setting! it's so warm and welcoming
Groups including Oneus, ONF, Verivery, The Boyz, Golden Child, Pentagon and TOO are joining Kingdom I hope you'll watch it ^^
You described my feelings with this comeback soo good!!
I like the song and I think they do well doing this comeback with a "easy" song with this sigle album
So I'm sure they will do a fabulous work in their next comeback
Thank u PD tomoon for this
And I'm with you: Close up MYBOY!!!
First of all: the crabs on the tv Made me laugh hard, second of all: the song isn’t a powerful song like the previous ones i agree but i enjoyed very much and think it’s a great song, the MV is stunning omg, third of all: Ravn?, PD you have taste😉
if you just watch the crabs in the background its still the same mv
( real talk I love this mv so much please support oneus)
Thank you PD ❤️ I love the song and the album, hide and seek is amazing too! Hope you can check that one 😊 idk if you knew that ONEUS is going on MNET's new program "road to kingdom", I think that's why this looks so pulled out of nowhere lol but I think is so beautiful anyway, again thank you for your reaction 😍❤️
You have to see COME BACK HOME MV
if you listen carefully to the chorus, you'll clearly hear the whistle. it is part of the song.
Love this song
React to The Boyz Reveal, Seventeen Fallin Flower, Stray Kids On track and MCND Ice Age 😔🙏
He already reacted to reveal and ice age so he will probably post those some time in the next week or so , and there’s like a zero percent chance he won’t react to Fallin flower ( it might only be on Patreon ,or without sound on UA-cam)
Hope it helps 😊
i do agree that this comeback does feel like a more b roll type of thing but this is still an amazing song! i think that with how long its been since their last comeback and also their appearance on rtk being so soon they wanted to put out something rather quickly. i do think this is one of my top oneus songs tho, i cant explain it but this song just is really comforting to me especially with whats going on in the world today
Those crabs in the back are a large display of my mental health during this quaratine.
Mood......
wow.. i'm so early... thanks for reacting pd!!
so this is actually a single rather than a full, or even mini, album! we are pretty sure that they were going to have a comeback later in the year and then pushed this forward so they have something to promote while on road to kingdom, which is why the music video is a bit more minimal than their previous releases
That song is beautiful.Period
Pd being my mood lmao (Im ravn biased) 4:40
absolutely love the background
You should listen to the other song they released "Hide and seek" produced by Cosmic girl and Cosmic sound!! It's great!!
