I had to stop watching after only a minute when you paraphrased Leviticus to specifically say tatoos when it doesn’t. I hate when people make scripture videos while ignoring context. Even if your main point is accurate, you don’t have to twist context to make your point.
Leviticus also tells you not to trim your facial hair in the verse right before that one. These laws were in place to condemn ritualistic practices, because at that time people would mark their bodies and with symbols to attract deities, and would use hair trimmings to conduct voodoo and such.
Everywhere else that the Bible mentions treating your body like a temple, is referencing actions against your flesh that abuse, maime, or permanently alter your physique in a way that is inherently negative.
Lastly, the Mosaic Laws were fulfilled by Christ, which is why one doesn’t have to live in fear of not abiding by the laws perfectly. People who make these type of claims against tattoos, especially when they never mention shaving as an issue, are disingenuous, and unnecessarily divide God’s children by encouraging judgment of a group of people over the silly and prideful game of “who’s more Christian”.
And no I don’t have a single tatoo or piercing on my body. I just understand that one has to really take scripture out of context to make these types of statements
