Loved this. I'm amazed how this road has never really improved in 30 years. A M30 with tunnels would have releaved all the villages and stonehenge it passes and stopped the bottleneck of the M5/M4 junction. If we all drive electric cars then we still need new roads.
The A303 needs a lot of improvement including a new A303 to be dual carriageway and a new tunnel to go underneath close to Stonehenge. As there are plans to build a new tunnel near to Stonehenge which drivers coming from London and M3 and from M5 and Exeter will not be able to see Stonehenge once the new road tunnel is built. By talking about road tunnels have you done the A3 Hindhead Tunnel.
I love these videos - it's a bit late perhaps but I think the view of Stonehenge is much better if you are heading west because you drive over a hill and it's right there in front of you before the road veers away. Lovely though and you got good weather too!
Having only recently discovered your channel, via Geoff Marshall and Paul and Rebecca. I am working through old videos, so expect random comments from long-forgotten times, I Joined your channel too only at the bottom level I'm afraid as I recently "gave away" a lot of money to an online scam. Very embarrassing as Cyber Security is one of my specialist areas! 😱 🙄
An m30 motorway to south west england will never happen because of the current governments obsession with hs 2. A high speed rail link is a waste of money.
Love the A303 with its quirky mix of single and dual carriageway; and particularly the Ilminster bypass, which is neither one thing nor the other
The M5/M4 is more economical, but the A303 is more fun

Love this vid. There's something strangely mesmerising about sped up long road trips.

Disclaimer: please *actually* drive on the A30/A303 at 700mph, its very fun
But it’s ok to drive at 70mph on the straight dual carriageway stretch of the A303.
Great video 👍😄
New camera setup? Video seems higher up and very stable! Would be interested in how you achieve this.

Great video of my favourite road 😊
Now do the A30 from Exeter to Land's End
Please*
Something to relax me after the devastating result tonight.

Just seen this..."Some famous stones", 🤣🤣🤣🤣
do you think according to martina looks at things the a303 underpass near Stonehenge should go ahead
Devon to Hampshire
Spot on.
Stonehenge is a non entity in my view. 😮The A 303 is a very good route to the southwest ( beats the M5!!)

An M30 would be even more of a waste of money
funny how all these peeps opposing hs2 have no clue of the economic benefits, eh?
