I am so glad you guys have found this band. I accidentally found them about 7 months ago when I saw the thumbnail on UA-cam for their first album, Emergence. Hell, it might have been longer ago than that? Anyway, never did I think I would take onto this kind of music but I did in a big way. Absolutely fantastic music. Another band I found similar to them was Elderwind. There's a few others I found but I'm sure you'll find them too! Or someone else will mention them in a comment.
Shylmagoghnar are awesome,, transcience was the album for me in 2018 i listened to this album and the first so many times on intense bycicle tours. theyre so intense and peaceful the same time, the melodic lines the atmosphere they create. this album is a masterpiece same as emergence.,but unfortunately it seems not many people know them.
YES! I wholeheartedly agree with what Tina was expressing at roughly 36 37 minutes in. I am a person that has tremendous problems with 9/5 workdays and working for a boss that earns more off of my hard work than I do. I am suffering from depression, underlying anxiety syndromes, physical burn-out/stress symptoms, suicidal thoughts and general unhappiness since the start of 2018. And there are enough people that scoff at people my age and how we don't have it as hard as they did back in the day. I call fucking bullshit on that. If those people were in my shoes I would not know if they would still be around. I assume they say those things because they have already established their lives. Even the two artists who made this album are struggling with these things, even though they write and play music that is THIS FUCKING AMAZING!!!
I requested this like a year ago. Haha One of my favorite bands and this song is so freaking awesome!! Glad you finally did it... now, back to watching !!!
I love Dutch bands. The Netherlands tends to produce bands with excellent melodic qualities and thought provoking lyrics. There is a good number of bands like this throughout the Netherlands and Europe in general.
For god sake react to "Loneliness" by Wintersun. Oh and while your at it react to "The Smoke of Many Fires" by Be'lakor. Both songs are fucking ridiculously good and very melodic and emotional.
...More Melodic Death metal for you to enjoy guys..or to anyone else interested in more bands alike ... : Allagaeon • Mercenary • In Vain • Aeolian • Wolfheart • Fields Of Elysium • Inferi • Bloodshot Dawn • World Under Blood • Persefone ..... ..... ahhhhhh ..too many bands to mention.. ..just check out any of this ..and YOU WONT REGRET IT !!!
Good band/song, this made my personal top10 for 2018, so it's pretty cool to see it here, which is something that is not gonna happen for any of my top3 albums of 2018, hehe.
Perfect! Sori, you absolutely nailed it! The picture you saw (climbing up a hill) was pretty much what I imagined, too. You don't need DMT along with this, it already IS DMT. Also thank you, Tina! Great recommendation. Maybe someone of you would like to give Hamferđ a try. Its a doomish metal band from the Faroes. Saw them a few days ago at Wacken and literally cried frim the first sung note to the last (and a while after, to be honest).
Shylmahkjgheiuytegar! (Discord inside joke). I LOVE this band. Very excited to see this reaction. I'm sure Kriegin is freaking out right now, these guys are her jam.
Good track but I still prefer the first album titled "Emergence". Masterpiece! To be completely honest, I've enjoyed your conversation with Tina way more than the song itself... Don't get me wrong though. Whole "Transcience" album is pretty decent in my opinion. ;) Anyway, do this village reactions more often, please. They're as cool as reaction videos can possibly get. Thanks Tina for the song and your wise words, and thanks Vin and Sori for your cool work. Much Love & Respect! \m/
@VinAndSori Hi!!! I have 2 unreal and majestic songs for you.. Limbonic art - When Mindoro and flesh Depart from In Abhorrence Dementia album 1997 Moonsorrow -Jäästä Syntynyt Varjojen Virta (30:10 min 😱😱😱) from Viides luku - Hävitetty 2007 CD. Thanks anda regards.
Please react to The Epilogue from Fleshgod Apocalypse. It is from their album Labyrinth. The album is a concept album based upon the labyrinth of Knossos and the characters related to the associated myth. It is a perfect mix of death metal and classical.
The first couple songs on both albums are fucking killer, after that it gets a bit underwhelming. Still, an awesome band. Can anyone recommend more shit from the Netherlands (minus Carach Angren, whom I also love)? Since I brought it up, If you're reading this comment and you haven't heard of Carach Angren, check out their first few albums. Symphonic / Atmospheric black metal, but they are all about paranormal activity. Their albums 'Lammendam', 'Death Came from a Phantom Ship' and 'Where the Corpses Sink Forever' are really entertaining - these guys are such creative composers of metal. It'll come off as generic symphonic BM at first, but let their songs develop as you listen... Their last two albums disappointed me aside from a handful of tracks, but their older stuff more than makes up for it, and I hope they can rebound on their next album.
Hey guys, been following you for over a year now. Love your reactions. I'd love to see you react to Roky Erickson's song I think of Demons. Or do a comparison of Roky Ericsson's If you have Ghosts covered by Ghost. I would love to see you compare both versions side by side. Have fun!
Shylmagoghnar and Be'lakor brought us the second era of melodic death metal.
Fantastic choice - truly relevant!
I signing up now! :)
And yes, Be'lakor's "The Smoke Of Many Fires" is outstanding material for a reaction.
@@_100percent_ ,Be'lakor - Stones reach !
@@O.N.C. Absolutely!
Thank you Tina! Would've never stumbled upon this ethereal yet brutal, beautiful yet menacing track. To Shylmagoghar's bandcamp page I go!
Shylmagoghnar is such a great band! Listen to 'A New Dawn'!
New Album is released!

Nice, didnt expect to see this lesser known but awesome band from my homecountry being reviewed here! Way to go Tina!
Yeah, these guys rule, love their music. I'm amazed you guys reviewed this💪

I shouldn’t care but sometimes I’m like “really? Smh”. I’m glad they both really enjoyed it.
@@Raijin-RyuX24 awwwwww lol it's all good. I Know what you mean by that though 😂 they did seem to really love it though!
Good lord that was EPIC! I've never heard of them, but I think I'm going to end up getting this album.
Melodic blackened deaht! Loooooooove it! 👍♥️ Shylmagoghnar kicks arse.
I really liked this song! Thanks, Tina, for doing this :)
Such a fantastic song and album!
THE METAL WILL NEVER DIE \m/
what a great band
This song saved me for ending my own self. Like Sori said...sharpened things, no longer hurt anymore. Great reaction.
Don't end it my brother/sister meaning and love is here for you!
@@MetalSonic1389 thanks bro. A bro here as well. We good now.
Knocks Wintersun into a cocked hat ,these are Interstellar
My favorite thing about this album is that they almost have no repeating lines in the entire 1 hour and 14 minute long album.
Y’all looked like y’all needed a cigarette after the song 🤣

Fkn unreal! Will pass this on to my metal friends! Love it! \m/
The beginning was like the intro to a movie.
Amazing choice! This band definitely needs more promotion!
Another amazing song discovered here!
Howzabout that, "Alma Mater" by Moonspell though, eh?
As I reach out to touch it crumbles, as do I
I am reborn and closer to my transience.....
I love this band!

Love this band. They sound like a super heavy Two Steps From Hell.
Haha, what a moronic comparison. 0 aural skills. That MUST be a joke.
SHYLMAGOGHNAR they are not music!!

They are only with 2 guys, one is doing the vocals and the other one all the rest. They don't do gigs at all, it's more like a project.
