- Hello Guys, First of all thanks for watching my videos!
In this video i install a Oettinger spoiler on my mk 7 golf R and i show you how to do it! Maybe this will also help you install other brands or even on other cars.

You did this more professionally than 90% of car shops/tuners, because you really took your time, espicially with waiting 2x8 hours.
Exeptionally good job, i see you are a "perfectionist" like myself
Im also going to order my genuine Oettinger instead of all the Ebay crap, because i see the build quality is superb.
But im getting mine wrapped in Carbon wrap, because i`m into that stuff, i hope it will still stick on the car really well, if i follow your installation procedure.

Thanks for the Nice comment bro. Good to hear😊, i think You should either try to wrap it without wrapping the bottum or maybe even put it on the car first and the wrap it. If u ever want to do a New wrap that would be te best Option. Good Luck with the install and thnx for watching!

Awesome! I'm also looking at this same wing and I have the same Golf R, black, just not with 600hp😂 I was wondering if there is a way to install but without sanding the paint on the car itself? It's a lease haha, I will 99% buy it at the end but just in case I don't I don't want to pay a lot of money for them to repair it
To be honest im dont want to recommend anything else because im not an expert at this. I did a Wing before in the Same way and it worked really good for me. You could maybe try the 3m tape but its best to Just get some information at 3m about if it would hold. 👊

I Got a painted at a paint shop
my whole roof and oem wing is vynil wrapped gloss black and i was gonna wrap the oettinger wing gloss black too . am i going to be able to install this without the sanding? im confused
Im not an expert. You are going to stick the Wing on the wrap? I have No Idea how stong a vinyl wrap is and if it wil hold a Wing..
@@BoostBroers i may have to have my installer just remove the vynil wrap where the wing is going to set, then sand down the paint and do what you did in this video, only thing i can think of. i just didnt feel comfortable sanding down my paint like that
I understand but if You make sure you tape it correctly and stay with in that area its not a problem. Once you stick that thing on there is wont Come off so you will never see that sanded part again...
@@BoostBroers i wish i could afford the whole Oettinger body kit lol it clearly looks the best on the car and consideing Oettinger is OEM, the fitment will be perfect but, im not sure, im also looking for a rear diffuser and front lip spoiler and im having a hard time.
I really like the Maxton kit for front rear and sides. Not to expensive and it gives it a little more of am agressive look

No f***in way I'm going to sand my car. What if I later decide to get rid of the spoiler? I'll have to repaint the whole roof just for that...
other than that, cool video.
Like i said. Sanding with the high grid paper you can polish it out, you will only sand the top of the clear coat..

This is a real Oettinger. Ik hear the knock offs do NOT fit as good as this one
Cars With Subscribers it really looks good. You may have convinced me to purchase one.
@@futball24 Get the genuine one, its discounted at the moment at 330€ instead of 400€ on their site.
Im also convinced by the real deal now, paying a bit extra is worth it in this example, as the knock ofs suck in both build quallity and fitment.
