- Driver's eye view of a hot lap during Free Practice 2 in Barcelona during the inaugural meeting of Porsche Carrera Cup France 2016.
To me this is the best sounding car there is. It might just be high pitched noise but I love it. The straight gearbox with the 6 cylinder engine, simply a dream. When I drive it in the sim I feel like I have a symphony on. And I am not even joking lol.

Is a dream race with Porsche GT3 in this amazing track, Catalunya is a great challenge.
I hope some day I can do that.

Great video - I thought it actually looked tight on corner entry so you had to put so much wheel in that it then created the loose condition. Again, great video! Thanks for sharing it.

Philipp no worries - good question. The reason it’s there is for when drivers need to learn the different track corner numbers and marshal posts in case it’s necessary. Personally, never really used it, so not an expert on why it’s there! And thanks, glad you enjoyed the video :-)

Hi alexandre, I love your videos. Have you tried the porsche gt3 cup for rfactor 2? It is very nice and demanding to drive, I suppose the reality must be too
Fran Quintana thanks for the comment - glad you enjoy the videos! To answer your question, I have not tried the gt3 cup in rFactor. Only on AC! And yes, it is quite a demanding car to drive - especially without and driving aids (as it is in real life). But a good setup helps a lot!

How to launch a gt3 cup car before red light off ?
Foot on clutch and full throttle ?
Absolutely. The best and easiest way to launch is to be full throttle and clutch at the same time. Car has great traction so wheelspin is not a problem. The most important factor in the start is the "clutch control".
Do you have to hold the paddle shifter or touch on the brakes and change to 1st gear ?
Felix PETTINGER If I understand your question: do you have to hold paddles or brake in order to shift to first gear? No, you don't.
To launch it ? Do you hold on the brake or 20% clutch and full throttle ?
Felix PETTINGER you just put the car in first gear, press the clutch, full throttle ...and release the clutch to start. No need to use brakes or paddle shifter.
once the front settles in do u steer on throttle ? even at high speed corners like T3 and T9 like here in barcelona ?

I don't have the DLC with the Barcelona track or the official Porsche Packs. I do have the Dorsch 991 mod from Assetto991.

Also interested in this. For the record in rfactor 2 the Carrera Cup can go around Bracelone in under 1:47
seems very loose on the rear
Indeed, it was rather loose with worn tires... but all in all, balance was really good. Loose enough to be quick but not too much so that you lose time!

+Alexandre Jouannem when i had my Direct Drive wheel i only drove the 911 Cup in Assetto Corsa. And when i compare that video to my experiences then i have to say that the driving characteristics of those 911 Cup cars are really really goos in AC.
Unfortunately i had so sell my DD Setup but thats the only car/setup combination which gives me the need to get back to Simracing.
I got a invite to drive for a LMP 2 team, i have the talent aswell but motorsports today are just about money. I couldnt drive simply because of no money / no sponsors.
Your full lap time from start to finish in my opinion is 1.53.3
In his dashboard there's the lap time - 1:51.37
That's not so fast. On that same track configuration in the wet I got 1:36.5 -- in F1-22 in an RB18 hahahhaha

Youre bad on the brakes...good car control while accelerating, but youre way too slow under braking
