Just bought this game last night and it is a lot of fun playing with a loose interpretation of how the rules should have worked. Now that I have watched this I am excited to give it another go using the actual rules.
Played this with a person who was colorblind. They were the ghost. I can say that trying to guess what they were trying to refer to was really fun since color no longer was an aspect I could use. I was actually on point getting all the answers almost instantly, but that's because I knew how he thinks and from the two games we played with him being the spirit, he had the right cards to play all the time. When you get given a card and the card has a guy with a mustache, even though it's the most smallest detail on the card, you can bet the suspect he wants you guess is the one with the mustache.
Omg so clear and easy to understand now. The only thing I’m confused on is this: (1) Do you earn bonus points EACH time you correctly guess a character, object, or location? Or is it only when you’re the first person to guess ALL 3 correctly? (2) How many bonus points? Is it 1 point? (3) When you guessed all 3 correctly and the video says we can help our fellow psychics in the group, do we simply help by putting a check or x token on their selections made with their crystal ball placements?
I assume by bonus points you mean clairvoyancy points. This is what moves you up the clairvoyance track to help in the final guessing round. 1) You will gain clairvoyancy points every time you correctly predict someone being either right or wrong using your clairvoyancy tokens. You also gain clairvoyancy points for guessing all three of your cards, regardless of if you are the first player to do it or the last. 2) You gain 1 point for every correct prediction with clairvoyancy tokens. If you correctly guess all three of your cards, you gain a number of clairvoyancy points for each hour remaining on the clock. 3) If you guess all three of your cards, you can still use your clairvoyancy tokens to gain more points, as well as talk with your fellow psychics to try and help them guess their remaining cards. Remember, this game is cooperative, and only the ghost is not allowed to speak. Feel free to discuss and (hopefully) assist your fellow psychics!
One thing is not clear to me. When everyone figures out their stuff and ou are at the endgame. Does the ghost has to reload to 7 cards again and chose 3 from that? Can you still use a crow if the ghost is stuck to help with the last one?
Never played this before. So, there are three different people in three different locations with three different tools to kill the ghost? Why do each psychic get a different story? I mean, the ghost died from only one person at one location with one tool, I assume.
From what I remember: - Phase 1 is about helping the ghost remember what happened. There are a bunch of different scenarios. - Phase 2 is when the ghost remembers what happened is when it tries to point out a single murderer (one of the psychics' sets) to the whole group. I found that a bit strange, but after reading in the rule book, it says something like, "phase 2, the ghost now remembers what really happened. Now the ghost must point out the true murderer."
Be ready for them to completely miss the mark on your message! Its quite the moment when the entire table agrees that a card could only mean one thing, only for the ghost to have their face in their hands.
@@RollforCrit It's scary how accurate your reply is. That's exactly what ended up happening, somehow from me giving them forest related cards, my friends came up with a whole story behind the cards about the sewing lady going to the children's room and stuffing them in a chest. Needless to say they were wrong 😂
Indeed, I know it all too well. I gave a card with threads on it to point them to sewing clothes. At first the person seemed to get it, but then someone suggested because the card was a certain color it had to be something else. Tis the curse of the mute ghost guide.
Best explanation, and all it took was 5 minutes. Clear, direct, to the point and not an endless 35-minute ramble like every other video. Well done!
This 6 minute video taught me more how to play the game than few ovr 20 minute ones.. go figure. Good job!
Wow, that was pretty dang concise and clear for only 5 minutes! Very well done!!
I was looking for a short video to explain Mysterium and this one is a diamond! Thanks for the great video and keep it up!

Well done! You should definitely make more of these.
Can you make a video on how to set up the game? Still confused on that part.

Great! a good job explaining the basics to those looking for a short video.

Great job. Now see if you can pull this off with Mage Knight!
+Ryan Overman We'll definitely get around to it eventually!
Great Explanation, cleared a lot up for me!

I know I’m 3 years late but the official rulebook says you can indeed use a crow in the final round
agreed this is the best explaination Ive seen so far.

Just got the game recently and I can't wait to haunt my friends 😂
