They always meant that service to be temporary. I think the same is true for the Senate, even though their term is longer at six years. Remember, the initial House of Representatives was populated almost entirely by wealthy landowners, so taking a term in the house was actually considered public service, which is what it still should be.
Yes Linda the energy is extremely weird. Everyone seems short tempered, even I am too quick with a response. And Sharon yes I've met some of those in Congress and they have a HUGE EGO, not all but some.
