    This is a great to see a video explaining the stick moves. I have done a lot of these shots, but never thought about how to do them. Now I can refine my moves, rather than relying on video game type memory on flying the mavic.

    This maybe a dumb question about the 360 degrees. But just wanted to make sure. Are you just using the left stick to control both spin and up and down? Also in doing all these techniques, do you put the drone on tripod mode? Thank you.

    Awesome! Some of these moves I had in mind, too. Also, I like to make a spiral, an orbit changing the distance and hight. Anyway, always to combine at least two moves. Your video is great, the net is full of these boring videos from the air, with no story. Keep going!

  • @vidmon
    @vidmon 7 років тому +4

    Thanks for the great video. I've been capturing still photography and video for many years. The difference in aerial photography for video is way different and I appreciate you sharing your techniques. Are the moves on the P4P and Inspire 2 easier to achieve from the standpoint of smoother pans, etc.? It looks like the Mavic Pros's controls are really sensitive and makes for less smooth video. I would love to see some of your techniques comparing the Mavic Pro, P4P and Inspire 2. Thanks! :)

    • @JimmyMakingitwork
      @JimmyMakingitwork 7 років тому +1

      Cliff Nichols Im not sire about the P4 or Inspire, but I know with the Mavic Pro you have tripod options, as well as gimble control options to really slow things down as desired. Very tunable, but many dont know, or attempt to change those settings.

    • @JoeBoomerMusic
      @JoeBoomerMusic 6 років тому

      You need to adjust the gimbal settings. By default, it is too touchy. The "Gimbal Pitch Smoothness" and "Pitch Speed" need to be adjusted.

    Could you please give the same great tips on how to use a 1 gimbal drone? Mine is Hubsan X4 Pro and I've been using it for well over a month. I sure believe it has some limitations, but I got it just to start with at least for the time being. Thanks in advance Momentum

      I believe you can easily achieve that shot by using the intelligent flight mode called active track. Most use that mode for tracking a moving object but it can also be used on stationary subjects and moving the drone. Maybe Josh can demonstrate how this is done. I know he likes to be in control of all of the movements himself but the Mavic Pro is capable of some amazing shots using some of the intelligent flight modes.

    How are you tilting the camera like that? And slowly

    • @followtheboat
      @followtheboat 7 років тому +1

      Using the camera tilt dial on the left side of the controller. You can decrease the gain of the tilt in the set-up options.

      @WatchJoelTV 7 років тому

      I'm just suggesting at the beginning it would be nice and only take 6 seconds to show your cam action settings. Also, not everybody has the LEFT joystick the same as yours. So saying pull the LEFT joystick back has no meaning.

  • @WatchJoelTV
    @WatchJoelTV 7 років тому

    your vids would be so much better if you'd show your joystick, cam and gimbal settings, smoothness etc.
