I have a question, nhl has a cap, every team same number. Why does the nhl not calculate the cap to match taxes across the nation so that everybody has the same opportunity.
I hope the Leafs stick with Woll and Jones. This combination could be the most affordable and successful that the Leafs have had in years. Providing Woll doesn't get injured so easily again. I feel Woll deserves a shot to be starter this year and Jones proved he is a worthwhile #2 on any team in the league.
I’d make a decent bid for someone like Ulmark whilst a retaining Woll for the first half of the season to test the waters than trade him to regain lost value. If Toronto were to get a “quality” goaltender, they could easily try to inflate the value of Woll by starting him intermittently and creating a pseudo-hype like Sheesterkin and Ulmark duo where their values increase the more the other does good based on the conjoined perspective of quality within the media.
@@ij8502 Woll needs games to prove he won't get injured. He's yet to get in 30 games in a regular season and has to prove he can put in a solid workload that a starter is able to do. Makes little sense bringing in a goalie who will want to command the crease for that workload as well.
Leafs will be chasing goalies. Samsonov will be back on the market and I cannot see them resigning murray or martin.
Detroit, Buffalo, New Jersey might use goaltender like Markstrom or Ullmark?
Detroit 100%. I don't see Yserman giving Husso another shot and Lyon proved he can at least be put in the #2 role for now. Markstrom makes sense to me as he's a veteran. Oddly enough, Detroit signed Calgary's Mike Vernon years back and eventually won the cup.

Brossoit went back to Winnipeg to accept a #2 role for a reason. He likes it there. He likes playing behind Hellebuyck. Why would goalies who like where they play and like the situations, leave to go somewhere else? I know why; speculation and "news" talk for people like you to waste time while disregarding logic. Sarros likes where he plays and the team likes him. The fans love him and he does amazing things in the community. He was developed in Nashville through Rinne's choice to want him as their #2 at the time. Get a clue man.
Please bring another Goaltender into Colorado. Since they made the trade for Alexander Georgiev i been worried that what we have between the Pipes in Georgiev, Justus Annunen and Prosvetov would not be good enough to bring another Cup back to Colorado. Georgiev played okay throughout the season and even made the All Star Team ( Fans selected him because he had the highest save percentage) but once the playoffs hit it seemed every Single Line Georgiev Faced had success against him. In both the Winnipeg and Dallas Series. I just would very much enjoy seeing the franchise bring in another Goalie and give him a chance to compete for that starting spot at Goaltender

If I were the Leafs, I'd trade for Varlamov and let the goalie prospects develop.
Who says he's available? Who knows what the price is? You can't just say trade for someone.

Why would a team ever agree with a no trade clause i dont know? This concept makes it nearly to move or trade a player! Without a good goalie no team can make it to succeed.
They give players no-trade clauses for the same reason they give them huge salaries and/or bonuses... as an incentive to sign with the team. It's business.
