McAllister and Skidaway are both great parks. My parents lived on Tybee for years when our kids were young and the lighthouse and North beach right there are both special places as well.
We were at Skidaway in early October, our 3rd time camping there, 2 other times for Grand Design rallies. Also, my cousin lives 15 minutes from there, so always hang out with her. My cousin is a lifelong resident so she's a great tour guide! Been to Fort Pulaski and Tybee many times. Grew up going to Savannah all the time to visit family, I live in Georgia so it's not far.

Suc fun memories for us! We actually stayed at SOB last night of our honeymoon in '82 in the honeymoon suite. Also, Tybee is one of alltime favorite places where we camp at Rivers End Campground so we can just carry our kayaks to the river mouth and kayak with the dolphins!! Glad you all are doing well:)
We were in Fort McAllister and loved all the deer, raccoons, and even saw an Armadillo, but it was tight for our rig. Next time, we'll check out Skidaway. Looks beautiful and closer to everything. Safe travels!

Love staying at Skidaway . We spend 5 days so we can go to Tybee and the lighthouse. Fort Pulaski and Wormsloe. We stayed at Fort Mccallister last June We ate breakfast with the deer and also armadillo everyday at both of them. We came down to Florida last week started at Stagecoach RV Pk at St.Augustine then to Pennekamp state pk and came down to the Keys then head back to SC next week. Would love to move around here in Florida for a couple more months but my kids would be upset if we aren’t home for Christmas. Still praying for good health for you both. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Fort Frederica and St. Simons island lighthouse is in the area and I think you would enjoy them. We visited them, Fort Pulaski and Tybee island in June when we vacationed in Savannah. We learned about Fort McAllister campground and checked it out while there and it was very nice so we hope to camp there sometime soon. You are right gorgeous sunsets there.

Definitely a fun packed Vlog always need to Visit Pedro on the way to Florida nice you had a full day there. They are trying but not what it use to be access to the top of the Sombrero on our last trip denied oh well next time! All The Best! Be Well Be Safe & Stay Blessed.
We just did all those places in June . Just not to outer banks . I thought the Fort was very interesting. I only live about 16 miles south of Rodman campground. Really nice campground that we used tent camping when we built our home base . Thanks for sharing your experiences! 😁👍

We loved camping at Skidaway State Park. The marine center by the Tybee lighthouse is a really cool place to visit. I have a ball cap from the State Park that I am wearing this week as we camp at Jekyll Island State Park.
I'm looking forward to a full campground review of Skidaway. I'm glad to see you guys looking so healthy again. Have a great winter in Florida. I hope to make it there in 2026.
