    Incredible! now I don't have to call this set-up just a mere "budget meal" supermoto setup. Thanks for this amazing video sir! I definitely learned a lot especially the tire options and what to get for my KLX BF.

    Sportsman Works!! I was about ready to take a belt sander to those crap dual sport (Unstable at any lean) tires! These bikes are indestructible, the best to learn on (IF YOU PUT STREET TIRES ON THEM). There!

      This video and your remark has given me the confidence and reassurance to put some street tires on my dual sport. I bought this dual sport thinking I would ride more off road, but I only do that occasionally and the stock tires really do not feel stable in turns at speeds. Instead of just selling my bike and getting a factory supermoto, I should try this setup with some Shinko e705 tires and see if that is better. Thanks!

    That '83 model is unheard of. Cause I wasn't born when that model came out. Nice info on the topic. Thanks.

    Man this is my favorite video I have seen from you so far - really practical setup and explanation. Love your bike and watching your guys ride, the Philippines has such a great bike culture it seems. If I ever get to Cebu, I'm coming to your shop!

    Lifan KPX250, Did the 21/18" tire swap! Stock tires are Unstable at any lean. I could NOT drive it on the street.. was wrecking my skills! Dropped it several times in the Parking lot doing figure 8's. Those DS tires are GARBAGE on the road. Unstable, constant correction.. bad news. WOW.. I can closed loop control my lean w/o short cutting the turn.
    Might get a front wheel 18' front wheel, but the 21/18 setup is probably 85% there. Went with Shinko.. 712/777 which looked to have the LEAST Knobby tread. Smoothness at speed.. Stability.. Cornering. The KPX is darned good for chinese.. giving the KLX300 a run at less than half the price.

    Great video bro! Supermoto is definitely subjective.. but a dirt bike with street tires is the basic concept.. I've also been eyeing those Michelin Siracs for my Honda Beat.. and the Shinko E705-II's are awesome on my CRF150L..

    Learned something that sportsman is different from supermoto… is it ok to use 14inc wheel front and rear for a Pitbike supermoto rather than 17/14?

    • @TheManoy66
      @TheManoy66  4 місяці тому +1

      Oh yeah definitely! Should be a fun wheel setup to rip around a gokart track. 💪

    Nice video but still. How worse are them vs 17 inch. I would love to see compere in turns. Can you knee down on that set.
    Is it possible to make a lot of lean ?

    • @TheManoy66
      @TheManoy66  4 місяці тому +2

      The difference between the 18/21 & 17/17 wheels are night and day. You can still drop and knee with the stock wheel setup but the 17s are just better overall

    This is the content I’ve been looking for! Thank you for the great information! I noticed that the Shinko 705 90/90 - 18 F is tubeless, but I use tubed spoke rims. Is it okay to put a tube in this tire?

      Yes you can use tubes in a tubeless tire.

    Now LQQK at you on that dinosaur cafe style bike....lmao, I'd ride her w/ PRIDE... but I couldn't resist poking you a little. Of course
    I'd thought about doing these things but I didn't know it was a "Thang"? With like it's own classification in the cycling world? Ain't
    that cool, kool, and even kewler yet. I do like your older bike, Royal Enfield has several bikes that remind me of 70's / 80's stuff.
    I like vehicles that look like they might not make it around the block but then surprise everyone who sees it..... I like that a lot!!
    Thanks for teaching us, inquiring minds want to know. be safe

    • @diggy-d8w
      @diggy-d8w 4 місяці тому

      Yeah, I think nowadays you can source replacement suspension parts for older bikes but that are made w/ newer
      technologies = looks the same but are new replacement parts. The suspension/brakes are arguably the 2 most
      important factors in riding an older bike or the "Cafe" style of bike. And Manoy66 has great taste in this process.

      Yep, this channel has some interesting spins on bikes & a lot of it is done w/ spare bikes/parts. Where they don't
      have the money they'll use another bike. One example is the Honda 150L which is now in the US market but this
      bike is the cheapest offering from Honda. That's why I may buy one but I digress. This channel said that you can
      swap the front end suspension w/ the 150F, I do believe? But you get the idea. So, on the bikes in the US that're
      soft, if ya look you might find another moto-cross that can swap out for a soft suspension. IDKnow much more
      but it does open up possibilities & do you know other good channels like this? peace

      @@diggy-d8w Yea, I actually bought one of those Honda XR150L after watching a LOT of vids from the Philippines and other places. It was a great bike. I listed it for sale on Fb marketplace not thinking it would sell fast because I wasn't sure I wanted to let go of it, but someone replied right away and gave full price so I did let it go. But I REGRETTED selling it immediately. It's an old school, basic bike and slow but it's fun, simple, easy to ride, and does the job. The problem with bikes is no matter what we have, we are always looking at others. Human nature I guess. The Filipino's really know how to get the most out of every bike. I learn a lot from watching.

    • @TheManoy66
      @TheManoy66  4 місяці тому +1

      Good question. I have been eyeing that bike ever since it came out and i'm on the lookout for a cheap used unit. As far as i know its a Chinese copy of Honda's CB400SS which is powered by the same engine found in the best dirtbike ever, the XR400.

    I'm planning on doing this on a china bike with 19 Front /16 rear wheels using Shinko 777's. Any thoughts or opinions on that tire for this type of set up? Also do I retain the bead lock, or is that not necessary with street tires? Thanks for any insight you could help with!
