A coworker of mine turned me onto this UA-cam site and you do so much more accurate weather than any app or new station or media outlet that you are my go to channel! Wish I found you earlier than a couple of weeks ago! I get to watch everything I have coworkers in my company that work all over the United States not to mention friends and family that live all over the United States so this gives me the opportunity to look at it all and just check on them! Same! I live in Ohio and he’s all I watch. Unless he isn’t online and we are having severe weather (which for the most part he is on live which I greatly appreciate!) heck I watch him even when it isn’t in Ohio, honestly helps me stay calm when I get bad storms in my area!!

Hi Michigan. Me too. We have two options. It's 10 to 20 degrees cooler by the lake. The other is to turn up the air conditioning. If you work outside stay in the shade as much as you can, non stop drink water. ❤. Constantly think about shoveling snow.
@@margarettickle9659 ...do you remember the 3 state outage Aug 2003 ? It was hot but not this hot prediction. My husband and I were at a fun little beach strip east on lake Erie(close to ny border) , my son was with friends at Cedar Point. All of a sudden it was so quiet. Nothing was running ,power outage in Ny, Ohio and Michigan. That scares me with this heat . We won't be near any lakes ....it actually turned out to be a great getaway weekend , bonfire , candles and the lake. Yep my son had to get walked off a coaster.

Do you think that the storm coming into Texas will linger or move through at a good trek? There was someone on here mentioning Harvey. I live in Dickinson Texas the epicenter for the Harvey floods
It’s not likely to be a hurricane. There’s still a high risk for flooding with any tropical system from the Gulf this year as the Gulf is ridiculously warm for this early in the season.

Question: The weather systems always move west to east. I know there are jet streams etc, but how much does the rotation of the Earth play a role? Are we rotating from east to west beneath the weather? At ~1,000 mph it must play some role...right?

Some of us don't know what discrete storm means.
Discrete is when the blobs of weather are separated. That allows the system to cycle more easily and produce severe weather like hail, high winds, and tornadoes.
A line that stretches across a hundred miles or so, can’t produce individual supercells as easily.
