One question: my provider verify if I'm using connection directly by my phone or by hotspot and cap me in the second case. If I make this solution solution, the TTL info on the IP packet will change for the device connected below? Thanks for answering
Hey, communication between hotspot and mobile takes place at layer 2. TTL values are for layer 3. I hope it answers your question.
Unfortunately no, because I'm ignorant on tcpip protocol. I will agree understand how set in order to mask all device after raspberry pi, eventually only in software design
Very useful, thanks a lot.
Do you think possible use two 4G LTE USB Modem and aggregate it to increase band?
Thanks and see you next
IT through you is great, thanks
Merci pour vos explications ! Avec cette config RPI + Dongle 4G, j'essaye ensuite de configurer un serveur VPN (OpenVPN), mais sans succés, impossible d'y connecter un client... Avez-vous vous-même déjà réalisé cette opération ?
I'm new in IoT, Could the modems be used on a raspberry pi pico?
hello there, I could follow until the package installation but then the open wrt luci could not detect the usb0 interface even after refreshing and even doing the ls command did not show usb interface. How may I solve it? Thank you sir
Apart from internet, can raspberry pi also send SMSs (AT commands)?
can you show how to setup on standard linux for mint desktop or other debian based linux distro?
I need to use LTE module with boosted signal. Not modem.
Can I also use a (Vodafone) mifi on Raspberry Pi OS to use it for sms sending?
Whats the speed test look like?
Good question. My provider throttles hotspot speed very low.
@@LouSchonder if the provider does not throttle, how much max speed it could go?
Can this be used as a failover modem ?
Can I use more dongle 4g devices and connect them to Raspberry Pi to create a proxy server?
At this point I'm just going to use a cell phone because I have no clue which carrier to use with this usb Wi-Fi modem
how fast are the down/up speeds? From what i've read, you are extremely limited. max 900 mbps up and 2.5 gbps down on the best hardware available.
Good job ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
