I love the way they highlight the other musicians on stage in all their shows. I've seen a few different acts by blue man group in person and online, and they're always a great show. My personal favorite had the supporting musicians as neon colored stick figures in a pyramid behind the main stage. They made some really cool stop motion style effects with it.
@@62meta I'm sure they change their acts periodically as well, and that particular show was probably over 15 years ago. They may not do that particular act anymore
Their paint is actually latex paint so it firms when it dries. Perhaps that keeps them from smiling since it would rip off any hair in the area and cause extreme pain😂
I’ve seen them 5 times in Vegas. I could see them a million more times. Their music have an emphasis on percussion....add those magical guitar rifs and it puts me me in another world. 🤩
The first time I ever heard of them, I was with a friend in New York visiting her family. They lived in Tarrytown & we went into Manhattan and saw them in an off Broadway show. It was in the summer of 96 or 97. So I was 16 or 17. And they did the Blue Man Group in tubes. PVC pipes were everywhere. No real drum sets. Amazing sounds through all these plastic tubes & PVC pipes. Then, at the end we had to pull toilet paper over our heads & it all went to the front of the stage. We were only like 12 rows back. However, that was my first time in New York & I have no idea what theater we were in??. It was small & dark..not lavish... But one of the most amazing shows I have ever seen!! I was into Raves at the time and the percussion from those tubes was just exhilarating!! I remember saying that they were going to be something huge one day. And at the end the Blue Man Group was greeting everyone as they left the theater. And I had one of the playbills in my hand and two of them kissed it. So I have an original play bill with blue paint and lit marks all over it. Pretty cool thing. I wish I had any idea what theater I was in.
No joke, my dad does that at EVERY concert or street performance or guitar player we come across. He never explained it to me. He almost did it at the BMG show we went to.
@@jamessullivan1348 They do. It's part of their routine. Someone yells freebird, freebird plays, one of the blue men lights a match or a lighter and another one of them puts it out with an extinguisher.

The show was so unique and hilarious; and at the end I found my jaw hurting from all the laughing that happened during the show. They are a VERY talented group of men and continue to blow my mind every time I watch one of their performances here on youtube.
