Recently, we've witnessed favoritism within the Miss USA organization, that resulted in rigging allegations. Unfortunately, it seems that this is still occurring.

      @@DaniWalker it is quite not good optics, if Florida wins, many can think that they are very desperate for the crown, added to that, Florida hasn't won a Miss USA crown which can also make the people icky to the win. Hope the new Miss USA will be proactive in handling each contestant fairly.

    Can you do an episode on why in recent years, Miss USA and Miss Universe can't attract top musical performers for the final show and select good music for each segment of competition?

    Thank you Dani for this. They even sometimes shut contestants up by making the signing an NDA until a certain time, and in this time you hear and see things happening where the directors and staff do whatever they want (even letting slip who is going to win), but a contestant can’t speak out.

    💯 spot on Dani. That is one of the biggest reasons. I am so proud to be a part of my current system where favoritism has zero chance of infecting the pageant.
    I have been a part of way too many systems where favoritism was the norm and I literally did everything humanly possible to look like the absolute best person for the title and I ended up dead last because I was not one of the “favorites”.

    Dani! I saw the MUO Interview done by RBonney and I thought she was amazing and it helped explain her universe win. I also thought the way RBonney handled the scandal by remaining classy and focused on her tasks and being easy to manage by Anne gave her an advantage which was not her fault. No one wants a prima Donna title holder difficult to manage - remember Venezuela (2016?) not making the cut (she was apparently ill mannered all week) yet she was the favorite? This reminded me of Miss Universe 2018; both Porntip Nakhirunkanok and Michelle McLean voiced on Instagram their support of Catriona Gray, months before they were reveladed as judges... and then, right after finals, Catriona flew back home on a private jet with a sponsor (Chavit Singson), and two of the ladies that had been judges that night (Minique Lhuillier and Michelle Singson, the daughter of Chavit Singson). I like Catriona and recognize her work and capabilities - that's why she's a very remembered Queen. BUT, you cannot tell me that wasn't sketchy. MUO shoudln't have gotten judges that had previously voiced their support online like Porntip and MIchelle did...

    It's hard for contestabts to pull out. Will they get their entry fee back? Probably not. They would end up losing quite a bit of their or their sponsor's money. It is a better idea to find out about it beforehand by asking around if at all possible. Visit forums, pageant blogs etc. before deciding to enter a pageant. I also think it's a good idea to watch the complete pageants of previous years to take a look at the winning queen. Do you notice similarities, dissimilarities, patterns etc.? I participated in the Mrs. United States pageant system. The winners for consecutive years, of this pageant were all mothers of special needs children. I kid you not. This was a consistent pattern that I unfortunately didn't find out about until the pageant happened. Prior research needed to be done! Pageants are expensive! Noone wants to get caught up in favoritism or being in a pageant that's already been decided. Do your researchers ahead of time!❤

    How about favoritism from pageant bloggers/experts? It's very, very disappointing that countries labeled as major powerhouses get all the attention/exposure. Other countries that invest so much and also sent strong representatives to the international stage are always considered inferior to the so-called powerhouses...... Come on Dani, you were one of the many people who showed a strong favoritism towards South Africa versus Philippines (Catriona Grey) who was the clear winner during the Miss Universe 2018, including those 2 hosts who didn’t even include Philippines when asked who their Top 3 were in live TV . It clearly showed during your recap with that other woman, as well. Love you girl, but just saying. 🧐

      I don't work for MUO. I share about my personal favs here because I'm not a judge or any part of the selection process.

      The Catriona fans demand everyone has to like her, when you yourselves don’t like every pageant contestant, so why should everyone support your girl?

      This episode isn't about Lou or any USA contestant in particular. It's about leadership showing favoritism towards any contestant. As I mentioned Lou is a front runner for a reason. In fact, I judged and selected her as the winner of a runway competition this weekend. Contestants like Lou can win USA titles on their own merit. Any inch of favoritism unfortunately reflects poorly on the contestant, and it's not their fault at all. This happens a lot and contestants are the ones who deal with the backlash, similar to what happened to R'bonney. It's not fair to them, and we should all strive to avoid this.

    The bigger question why would anyone want to compete against Transvestites and old women?

    • @ML-xh6rd
      @ML-xh6rd Місяць тому +2

      Because they know that an older, "plus-sized,' or trans contestant has a minimal chance of winning as clearly stated by the current owner of MU and her cronies clearly stated.

      Please know your terminology. A transvestite is a man who enjoys wearing women's clothes. A transexual/transgender person is one who has had the surgical intervention to change from one gender to the other.
