I am wondering one thing? Can you do a tutorial on pressing different fabrics. Iam working with a synthetic fabric today. And I can’t get it to press properly. To flatten the seem.Maybe you already made a video, and I missed it.

Good discussion about knit fabrics. Interesting that you say knit fabrics should always be prewashed. I made a lovely dress, wore it once, washed it, then thought I had put on a great deal of weight. Now I realise it might have shrunk.
If you look for the gsm weight fo the fabric that will be standardised, so 180gsm or 250gsm. Not every fabric shop will display this (or even know it) in which case more subjective terms are used like light weight, medium weight etc
Hi Susan, thanks for the feedback. It's a good point but often prices can change, especially at the moment due to the economy and exchange rate in the UK. I'm conscious of making the videos as relevant as I can over a long period of time and thought if I mention prices at the time of filming it would go out of date. There is a link to the corresponding blog post in the description of the video and that lists all the patterns I mention and the listings of them on my website, with prices too, so that will always be the most up to date place to look. for necklines I typically add a band in the same fabric as the main fabric. I've made a separate video about that - here is the link to it. For armholes, I've actually only ever made jersey clothes that have sleeves. The sleeves then just get hemmed by folding them back once and top stitching down with a stretch stitch or a cuff band is added. If the garment was sleeveless then could can finish the arm holes in the same way you would the neck. Hope that helps :)

Also do you know of a technique to sow Jersey or stretch fabric by hand ? A stitch that would stretch?

Are you going to do a capsule SERIES for winter
Hi Tracy, we haven't got one scheduled at the moment, for winter its likely to be next winter now. I'm sure we will do a summer one though :)
