On October 1, 1831, Staten Island's first hospital, Known as "The Seaman's Retreat", was opened by the Marine Hospital Service, to serve retired naval and commercial sailors.
Three of these original colonnaded structures remain, dating from the 1830s and 1840s.
The Marine Hospital Service provided medical treatment to naval personnel.
On May 6, 1857, the neighboring New York Marine Hospital (also the "Quarantine") in Tompkinsville, about 1 mile north along the shore, was attacked by a local mob, fearful of the mostly immigrant detainees.
The next year, on September 1, 1858, a mob again attacked Bayley Seton hospital, burning it down in what became known as the Staten Island Quarantine War. - Розваги

Well said, I was thinking that too, you can tell when Jason is investigating immediately, because HE LISTENS, doesn’t ask spirits questions every 10 seconds & over talking any possible voices or sounds to be heard. He doesn’t have 25 REM POD’s scattered throughout the building either😂😂😂😂 your right adult paranormal investigation going on here 100%….

Been a fan since the original Ghost Hunters back in 2004, and this is everything I've ever wanted from a paranormal show. No dramatic music playing over everything, no re-enactments or unnecessary jumpscares...this was wonderful and I can't wait to see more!

this is the style of investigation i've been missing. no beeping devices that may or may not work with the paranormal, just audio and video of what they experience. no overly dramatic reactions with every bump, beep, and squeak... thanks for this, this is a breath of fresh air.

The piece of equipment I hate the most is the one that looks like an old-fashioned radio; I think Steve Huff invented it and it's been thoroughly debunked but celebrity ghost hunters use it anyway. If that comes out, I stop watching.

When I saw the announcement for this investigation, it floored me. This hospital, the doctors and treatment of our service men was horrific! I lost my dad to medical negligence at this hospital in 2001. He dedicated his life protecting our country and his medical care was horrific. I remember him saying “thy are killing me” and it was true. The hospital was so bad the paramedic’s called it Bailey Breathing many brought in never left. Looking forward to seeing how things went on the investigation 🙏.
I’m so sorry, that really pisses me off. After the the whole fake flu bullshit I look at doctors a whole lot different. Our service people/ vets are hero’s medical staff cowards !

Jason, I just want to say that you are the absolute best paranormal investigator I have ever seen and I know what I'm talking about because I have watched so many investigations so I can spot a faker. You are genuine, honest, you don't play loud music over the investigations, you don't run around screaming and yelling like a fool, just good investigating and I appreciate that very much. I have been a fan of TAPS since the very beginning way back in 2004 and have enjoyed every episode. I am a strong believer in the paranormal and have had my own personal experiences. My god how I have missed legit TAPS investigations, no BS spirit psychics, screaming and running, just actual good shit 🎉
It's refreshing to see just clean filming. No added music or sound effects to try to make it extra spooky.
Remember the TAPS days. It's nice to see a calm, observant investigation that doesn't add unnecessary drama and sounds, just a regular exploration. At 31:47 the stairway behind the wall leading to a ceiling cover reminded me of the Winchester Mystery House here in California.
I thought of the Winchester House, too. What a crazy, strange place.

@@stevenhulbert7540 You know, there is a haunted hospital near where I live and you used to be able to investigate and they had tours and such. But they had a staircase like that for the nurses and housekeepers to use so they didn't have to think about mixing with the family and public. It had been taken out of use in a similar way, as well.

So at 7:29 there's a face in the right side of the screen in the broken glass area. If you zoom in on it. It looks like a man smiling with a mustache an like a wrap thing on his head like people in India wear. I saw it an now I can't unsee it. I'm sure it's just a trick or the eye type of thing but it's weird to me, so I figured I'd share to see if I'm not the only one seeing this. Thanks Jason for the great investigation.
