- This particular car was a 07 Ford Expedition. But its the same
procedures for Expeditions 2007 and up, Ford F150 2009 and up, and Ford Mustang 2011 and up with the 6 speed Automatic Transmissions.
This is the oil requirements for this cars:
F150 6R80- Mercon LV 2009-2014
Explorer 6R60- Mercon SP 2006-2008
Explorer 6R60- Mercon LV 2009-2010
Expedition 6R75- Mercon SP 2007-2008
Expedition 6R80- Mercon LV 2009-2014

hi whats the best way to change or add fluid ?
I have a leak in the radiator cooling line conector ( one of the to silver lines on the bottom of the radiator )
the car was setting for 3 months with out driving it. im not sure how much oil leak out.
so im scared to drive it with out oil after I change the radiator. do I need to add oil?
its a 2006 mercury mountaineer v6 AWD
the mountaineer has different procedures then this video.. but either way you will need to buy a $5 pump from an auto parts place to add fluid to it because they dont have a dipstick
Nice demonstration Falcon. Was the dipstick nut hard to turn initially? I have a Ford F150 and am dropping the pan for first time. I can't seem to get nut to budge. Maybe I need a rubber mallet to hit the other end of the wrench.
+Derek Vinyard noI really didn't have any issues taking off that nut at all but yeah thats what I would do, I would hit it with a hammer at the end of the wrench to loosen it up.
Be CAREFUL lifting it out!! I pulled mine out the same way, grasping it between the knuckles of my 1st and 2nd fingers, the brittle plastic stick broke off and fell in the pan.
How did you remove it? I think I may have same issue
Hi falcon . Great video man I have a 2007 expedition and I just see very little fluid on the Trans stick. Should I add fluid or just change it . 155k miles.

From between the years of 2004 to about 2009 or so wtf where the engineers at ford thinking when they where designing these vehicles? Where they high?
Falcon, pregunta. Tengo una ford explorer 2008 Transmission 6R60 y me esta pasando algo raro con la troca. Para empezar si el carro esta frio y no se caliente mas de 10 minutos el carro jalonea feo como si se fuera a salir el motor y despues se me frena de un solo. Lo raro es que no sale luz de check engine o de transmission mi esposa dijo que una ves le salio la luz de la wrench pero ya no le volvio a salir y corrio normal Pero si lo caliento mas de 10 minutos no pasa eso. Y el carro corre normal. Ahora otra cosa, cuando vamos corriendo entre 40-50 millas tiene un humming sound. Solo en esa velocida. El carro tiene llantas nueva y estan bien balance y ya tambien tienen un buen alightment. Dicho eso tu crees que tenga que ver algo con falta de aceite de trasmission o es la trasmission que esta fallando ya?
falto de aceite puede ser por el humming o tambien un balero ... lo demas le an chekado las bujias?

Well your tranny and this tranny are different. But I would check your chitter cable. Might be of center, that or your tranny is bad.

Ford made this too easy. They should have put it on top with heat shields , 8mm bolts and then 5.5 mm followed by 4 1/2 bolts. That would actually make it certified ford

puede ser una de los dos.. pero esta seburo que no es un misfire?
@@FalconsGarage no estoy seguro porque cuando se da jalones es cuando arranca y llega a los 15 mph u despues a los 25mph
la vibración la hace a partir de las 40 millas cuando lo aceleró se le va,la peor vibración la hace en el acelerador y el timon,muchas gracias por su atencion,estoy preocupado con esto.
Es la turbina la mia ase lo mismo le meti un adetivo y la vendi... se llama torque converter shuttering es lo que ase.. metle un adetivi si no hay que cambiar todo eso..casi $500 fiesta aqui en Brownsville Texas

si la vivrasion es de el volante puede ser el valanseo de las llantas.

Falcon's Garage yo tengo la misma vibracion, aveces a 40 millas pero usualmente de 50 a 60, creo que puede ser el transfer o algo relacionado con la transmision. Pasa mientras acelero normalmente pero si lo acelero mas de lo normal no ocurre
Did you ever figure out what the vibration is from ? I have read that it may be from a bad coil, misfire.
Es la turbina yo le cambie todas la bobinas y plogues... resulto ser el tourqe converter o en Español la Turbina... echale un adetivo. Para el Tourqe converter shuttering asi se le dice a eso... yo lo ise y la vendi a la chingada.. Fuck Ford hahaha

mi expeticion 08 hace un ruido raro a veces cuando va en cuesta or voy halando un trailer, lo raro es que el ruido va y viene, y parece ser que viene de abajo del vehiculo. trate con la 4low y 4hi, y no lo hizo. podria ser el diferencial delantero?
por cierto, el motor no baja revoluciones ni nada por el estilo, mi esposa dice que a veces hace el ruido en invierno cuando ella usa la doble automatica y luego se desaparece unos dias despues.

no creo que el ruido sea el diferencial por que lo aria siempre. cres que sea un ruido de motor?
esos motores son medios malos
fijate que no, el motor suena bien parejito, y ademas el ruido parece como de cv joint cuando comienzan a fallar, pero solo cuando el carro hace fuerza como en una subida fuerte, no importa si va adelante o reversa.
voy a cambiar el aceite del diferencial a ver si eso ayuda.

Toyota doesn't have a dipstick at all, at least my 08 Toyota Tundra didn't. You had to crawl under the vehicle and pull a check plug like on a manual transmission, the refill procedure was ridiculous too, oil had to be a certain temperature, etc.
