I'm glad I found this - I was keeping an eye out for "1950s Advance E1 Signal Generator _Part 2_ " but couldn't find it until I stumbled upon it randomly. 😋
I used to own one of these signal generators. I gave it away when I moved to the US. I have since updated and replaced most of my old mains test equipment now. The generator was ok but a little long in the tooth for what I require today. Thanks for this video.
It's funny if we compare that electronics with today's...vacuum tubes etc. However, they were functional and fulfilled the purpose for which they were built.
They didn't have anything else then. This was advanced stuff (excuse the pun) at the time. They didn't have any better way of 'fulfilling the purpose'. You could say the same in another 75 years about today's electronics. Thanks for watching.
Great Show! Loved it! Natural! All the best and Hello from Portugal!
Nice generator, you really did it justice with those BNC connectors!
Many moons ago our lab had a number of Advance instruments, I loved them for reliability and accuracy.

Used those at collage when studying electronics, learnt how to set up IF stages with one of these, great sig gen :)
Yes despite its age it's still a good signal generator now it's been repaired and serviced. Thanks for watching.

Nice repair - always good to see old equipment put back into working order. My first signal generator was an EICO 324 built from a kit. Regards, David
Thank you.
Hi Jane, what a great fix and a smashing bit of retro test kit - love it! subb'd
