Here’s a handy little way to hang guitars on your wall. I got the idea from Guitar Center in Dallas about 5 years ago. They had almost all of their guitars hanging like this.
I’ve got all my guitars hanging on my wall now with these.

I would just like to add for all the people telling me that it’s not a good idea. I’ve had at least 10-15 guitars at a time hanging like this for the last 10years at least without a single problem. Tuning pegs go through the headstock and are cranked on tight with a nut and washer. They are made out of Metal! It takes a lot more force than 7-13lbs to bend or break! And that’s all I got to say about this!!!!!
To me this is not a good idea to have all of the weight of the guitar hanging on two tuning pegs
I got the idea from GC Dallas. This is how they had all their guitars hanging on the wall.

This could damage most timing pegs, especially heavier guitars… perhaps distributing the weight across the first fret like a capo would work…

Putting the weight of a guitar on 2 tuning machines?! Just get a floor stand or a $20 hanger. Save your tuning machines. Stop guitar abuse!
I have way too many to spend $20 a hanger. It would be about $400 worth. I got the idea from Guitar Center. That’s how they had about 100 guitars hanging on one wall.
@@GuitarMan3YTPick up your guitar by the peg and carry it into another room... does that feel safe or destructive?
Guitar center wants to charge you a setup fee to repair the damage that they've done to the guitar, then they want you to come back in 6 months to buy new machine heads. They WANT your guitar to need repairs... do you?
@@SeekerGoldstone I’ve built about 20 guitars on my channel. I’ve been setting up and repairing guitars for 20+ years. I’ve been hanging them like this for about 5 or 6 years without ever a single problem. And I distribute the weight on two pegs, not just one.
@@GuitarMan3YT When the alternative is a $1 shovel hanger, I'd err on the side of not using the tuning screw as load-bearing hardware.
Look at the screws that mount the pegs... you would hang your guitar by that screw? That screw is the only thing preventing the weight of the instrument from bending the tuners.
Its safer to hang your guitar by the volume knob.

over a plastic volume knob. The tuner is secured tightly with a washer and a nut. And unless you like to hit them with a hammer they’re not gonna bend. The little screw is just there to keep it from turning when you’re tightening the nut!
I don’t know of any guitar hanger for $1. You can’t even buy a soda or gum for that.
