What a magnificent tune! It must have been written and arranged by "Other Worldly Beings". I must compliment even the video: minimalistic, and yet very comprehensive and easy to watch.
She captures the scene and makes everything look great. It has become almost a religious rite that every day I need to come here and enjoy this piece of art.
They sound as good live as in studio...something, as you say, Other Worldly - no autotune here!

You nailed the description. When I first discovered them and was explaining why I lived them so much I said “ They check very box - indie alt, 80s/new wave, lounge, meets beachy and shoegazey. They have tracks that incorporate Spanish and reggae aesthetics. As a native of so cal, they have the quintessential southern California vibes.” They are perfection and one of my very favorite bands. Ryan and Paul just make such clean, awesome tunes that pay homage to many great artists, all while putting their own spin and flair into it. I love coming across new bands and music I haven't seen before that I instantly get hooked on too. This would be the latest one. Just love that sound.
I’d literally never heard of Cannons until yesterday, when Tidal decided that “Fever Dream” was an album that I might like to hear. Now, in the space of 24 hours, I’m completely hooked.
The same here... UA-cam popped up this video in the recommended list and I clicked on it. I've now listened to this song probably a dozen times and a bunch of other songs by them.

It's like this band came out of no where (for me at least) I came across 'Purple sun' & have been HOOKED! Every song is amazing & I feel it down to my soul.... 💥🌌✨
This retro vibe has been building in popularity since the film ‘Drive’ in 2011. That was a game-changer and our musical aesthetic fundamentally changed. This is the golden age of retrowave. 😎

This band literally did for me haha. I just saw a suggestion. I see why it was suggested, cause I listen to Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Chrysta Bell, MR MS, things of that nature. But still, seemed like out of nowhere. I really love it though.
First song I heard from them was Love on the ground, on SiriusXM chill A couple years ago. I couldn't stop looking them up after that. So smooth!

This is another great song from Cannons. I like the whistles, guitar and Michelle's voice. This song makes me relaxed, and Michelle is so beautiful in every music video.

This song and “Clover Cage - The Road to Awakening” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. I just want to send love to everyone and I want everyone to know things will get better. Coming out of a fundamentalist evangelical sect....there is a lot of intense symbolism in here that hits home and I desperately want more of it! The praying, choir references, and the "falling out" to the power of God (or whatever) but coming from a strong female icon THEN the rapture at the end. This video will be on my mind for a while.

I've been a fan since the 'Shadows' album, thanks to my daughter. We saw them at the Hard Rock in Dallas last year, they sound just as good LIVE as they do in the studio.

Recently moved from Chicago. Cannons is one of those bands that brings back memories of driving through the city looking at monumental buildings, avoiding potholes, watching for pedestrians, driving pas a cool brewery or bar and saying to myself I’m gonna try that place next. The sunsets on the Kennedy getting out of the city. Its chaos its busyness I miss it all so much but I needed to get out. Now all have is memories.

This has been a phenomenal find in new music for me. Drawn in hypnotically by that baseline, guitar and vocals. What is so nice about the vocals for songs like this is that they don't try to overpower the song. All elements are layered wonderfully with the guitar "outro" being the raised essential finally. The video work so well with the song too. I did a quick search on the band and what other consider the genre to be, and one of the terms was "dream pop" (or maybe "electro-dream pop"?). Listening to many of their other songs..."electro-dream pop" feels so fitting. Smooth, dreamy, hypnotic... Thank you Cannons!
It seems like they are a mix of Dreamwave and Synthpop. The band is phenomenal.
I always called it retro-wave because their music reminds me a lot of music from the 80s/90s.

They got a great sound in between pop and sensual genre. Dreamy and exotic feel in the production.
