Hello! I have found that the foil sheets leave a residue on my color cardstock papers when foiling with the minc on higher settings...do you think it is the paper types/weights? Or do you have any suggestions on how to fix that? Thanks!

Hi! I’m trying to make something similar (a background in an inkjet printer and text in a laser printer) but I am having trouble getting the láser text centered! Everything prints fine except for text (off center) that goes thru laser. Have you got any idea why this happens and/or how I can fix it please?

Most laminators can foil but the quality would depend on how hot the laminator could reach as it needs to be very hot for the foil to stick to laser toner.

they are called bleed, you can enable bleed from art board tab.

Are your laser printer and inkjet printer are just the same? I tried this before using separate inkjet printer and laser printer, the wtiting and background do not match up as they're supposed to be.

Mary West it’s called a paper trimmer - sold by many craft stores. This looks like Fiskars brand.

If you are foiling you must only use a laser printer because foil doesn’t stick to inkjet ink, only laser toner.

What type of printer do you used?
Any laser printer works well with foiling, you just need to make sure that your artwork is 100% K (Black toner) and you are printing on smooth cardstock rather than slightly textured. The foiling machine you use also has a huge impact on foiling as it needs to get hot enough.

Foiling works on any paper as long as it is very smooth with no ridges/textures
Any laminator machine will do?
You would need to test the laminator as there are so many different ones out there. It would need to get very hot. Most laminators do not have this feature.

How did you keep the foil from transferring on to the marble design? I have burgundy print sheets but the foil transferred to the burgundy not just the letters
Maybe a bit late, but if you have the possibility to print the marble background with an ink printer and then print the text on top with a laser printer, the foil will only adhere to the laser-printed text :)
What paper weight have you used for the pieces which have Gold foil on them? 100 GSM? 140GSM?
