Guys, I had exactly the same problem. Almost changed out the whole battery module. Lucky I found your channel. I followed the steps and charged using 5v usb charger for only 5 minutes, then put the battery module back to the speaker, and it start charging again!! Thank you so much!!
Thank you friend. Your idea worked for me. After charging for 30 min using a mobile charger, my Bose charger was able to start charging the soundlink mini.
🙏 Wow! It worked. I had watched other UA-cam videos about this problem and nothing had solved it on my 10 year old Bose Soundlink mini 1. I didn’t have a T8 star screwdriver so had to buy a set of bits which cost me €11:99. Money well spent. I only charged it for 15 minutes and put it back in; Worked a treat and I’ve now got it fully charged overnight. It’s now playing. Just a word of warning about removing the battery. The screws were so tight that I couldn’t loosen them, so I tapped the screwdriver with a hammer and solved it. If I hadn’t done so, I would have chewed up the bit and screw heads. Thank you again for the cheap and simple fix 🙏🙏🙏 5⭐️
Another solution is just plugging it and pressing the mute button for 10 secs then taking the battery out and in again then repeat the problem and it revives the speaker but this is a great solution as well, im impressed tbh
Hope this one will work for my Bose mini 1. I was shocked that it keeps on flashing red light and yet it does not charge. Tried to reset it with the mute button for 10 secs, it only lighted up (white) then back to red light again.
Didn't work. Sometimes the BMS blocks the recharge. I took the battery apart and recharge each cell individually with an TP4056 module. 4.2v when fully charged.
Below is my step to fix the red light flashing issue, hope this can help you. 1. Unscrew the 4 screws and pull out the battery 2. Observe the charge 5 pin on sounlink circuit board, make the "+" pin toward right a little. (Soundlink I design will make the connection badly, so the soundlink II add a little circuit board on the battery) 3. Plug in the charge cable into the soundlink(Now soundlink has no battery) 4. Keep the 3 status, push the battery into the soundlink English is not my native language. Any question, please let me know.
Did not work for me... Have also tried to reset (press mute-button for 10 secs.). Now I will order a replacement battery (and a new charging cable...).

Did this really work?
Yes working perfectly after that
The Li-ion batt is 7.4V and the USB charger feeds 5V it couldn't be possible to charge. You have to put a DC power supply with almost 8.4Vdc feed.
@@Molleras The charger he used in the video normally has two outputs 5V and 9V, I will like to give it a try

Nope. No change after using a brand new replacement battery. Threw everything out…
@@BoMortensen Thanks!

❤❤❤
Looks dangerous AF
Scam!!!!
Dude everyone said that it works, make sure you followed the steps properly, thank you 😊
Please try to use the charger at least 9v ~1 amp for about 5-7 minutes
