The language that the captain uses in PCs and interviews is as if he is the owner of Indian cricket. Who has given him the right to speak that language?
Cummins+starc has more runs than Rohit+ Kohli. ..there in lies the core of the problem..and the cricket fraternity in India is too scared to discuss this..such is the player / so called legend cult influence in India
It is an irony that someone like Sanjay who through out his career has been known for how well he played the great pace bowlers in their territory, by leaving the balls outside the off stump, and how good he was in defense play like a Gavaskar, Dravid or Pujara talks about Washington based on the runs he scored but doesn't consider how many balls he faced in each innings, how well he played with his defense, how well he left the balls outside off stump, and in fact the Australian bowlers needed a really good ball to get Washi out, even in the second innings in Melbourne during the last session collapse, Washi stood tall playing 45 balls without getting out. His century partnership with Kohli, and Nitesh was very vital for India's fortunes in this series.Washington has opened for his state, so he like Nitesh is more of a batsman who can bowl, so playing him at 8 is wasting him, and there wasn't a better batsmen in the squad who can play as a pure batsman, Gill, Sarfaraz, Eswaran all aren't in good form.
Sanjay's point is that there should have been another specialist pacer in the team rather than a no. 8 batsman. What Gautam Gambhir used in team selection was his KKR T20 formula - stuffing the team with allrounders. That's great for T20s, but totally irrelevant in tests.
Even after a series win, Aus' batting frailties are still there. I think there's definitely positives for India despite losing. Jaiswal is a weapon, Reddy is a great find and Bumrah was simply the best bowling performance from a tourist, ever.
There’s a lot to criticise in the Indian team, especially the batting. But it’s worth remembering if Bumrah and his fitness had lasted one more day the series likely would have been 2-2. Add a fit Shami and India would likely have won the series. Even in relative crisis, you’re often closer to a turnaround than you think. Test match batting around the world in general is weak right now. It’s sometimes odd how bowlers take all the blame and batsmen fail for years on end without getting dropped, that that’s how cricket is right now.
22:04 Sanjay has for once got it absolutely correct here... County cricket should be the preparation for the big boys, not the dead pitches in Ranji... Exactly what I have been commenting under a number of videos today... Felt very good to see someone from the cricketing fraternity echoing it....
13:20 Sanjay is absolutely on point here. There seems to be some strong messaging(my strong guess is it is coming from Rohit) to batters to play 'positively,' which they do even if the situation demands the opposite or that is not their style. Gill and Pant seem to be in this mindset more than, say, KL or Jaiswal. Jaiswal showed great composure in spite of having that attacking gear. That is what was needed from other batters. Gill threw it away too many times playing reckless shots.
The hard decision needs to be taken. Bumrah has to be the captain going forward. There's a visible difference in the team's body language and intent between perth/sydney and the 3 in between.
How come nobody is talking about players not playing First Class cricket anymore? Sharma last played Ranji in 2015 and Kohli in 2012. By contrast Root and Smith played in the 2024 season of their respective domestic red ball tournaments... How can one stay a top Test batsman without playing domestic cricket? Is it any wonder that both cannot even play quality spin anymore in Test matches? Even batsmen like Sidhu and Kambli used to massacre the likes of Warne at home....
Well.. people in bench played lots and lot of ranji game. Are they getting picked? The words the management speaks and the action they make are contradictory!
@@arunkk004 I think the onus is on senior batsmen like Kohli to realise that since the pandemic his Test average is below 35... He needs to realise that and prioritise red ball cricket. He did not. Root did. Now Root might even overtake Tendulkar. Kohli will not even cross 10,000 Test runs....
This is the best time to drop all the senior and outdated team members and start forming a fresh team. They may lose a couple of series, and that's alright. The youngsters will learn and realize that they have to perform if they have to be retained.
Manjrekar analysis of Washi batting is wrong. Perfect example of superficial assessment and making the incorrect conclusion. Coming in at number 8, with tail enders, scoring a 50, 2 not outs and facing the number of balls he did...Washi has skills, but not the right opportunity to show case them.
there is big difference between perth and rest of matches you had specialist batsmen in Perth they didn't contribute but they could've in coming matches of they were given a chance dhruv and devdatt padikal. Shubhman not playing was blessing in disguise in Perth.
Play Washington at 3 and add pacer he looked good but at 8 he was playing with tail almost all the innings , obsession with Gill thinking he is a specialist batter with so much flaw in technique is non sense , Washington is a good enough specialist batter who plays time and provide solidity
India's batting performance seems heavily influenced by T20 habits. The primary reason is that Indian players spend most of the year playing T20 cricket, especially the IPL, which runs for an extended period. While Test cricket and T20 are vastly different formats, the fast-paced and aggressive style of T20 cricket impacts the technical and mental approach of players. This influence often affects their performance in Tests, which demand patience, technique, and a more measured approach. We are quick to criticize senior players, especially looking at the last Australia and New Zealand Test series, but if we analyze closely, no batsman has been able to perform consistently. This isn't about senior or junior players; targeting individuals won’t lead to better Test performances. It’s crucial to identify the core issues and work on finding solutions to improve overall performance in the longer format.
@praks007 Because they are perhaps associated with the wrong PR agencies. Maybe they don't understand the true value of their image and achievements. It could also be that they are envious of the success or fan base of the great players of today.
Hats off to Bumrah for his fabulous bowling display during the series. India can win Test matches if they have a strong batting side during a five day test match.
Some sensible guy has said in the past that trying to lengthen the batting is never a great idea because what didnt get you more runs with 6 batters will never get you with 7 batters. Biggest mistake was to leave out Pujara who has the mindset to stay at the wicket
Selector panel must reform and yhe mentality of prime player should dropped irrespective of their past records if they do not perform as the team required in each series
I feel the time is right to introduce atleast two young batsmen in england( just like how Ganguly and Dravid made debut in England). If they are good they will do well in England.
Selectors should have a given chance to Vidwat kaverappa ,for Aus pitches. But Gambhir preferred Harshit (kkr and Delhi connection). Honestly believe ,India has some good pace bowling talents . Another one is Anshul Kamboj from Haryana for test cricket. Siraj hasnt taken his game to nxt level.,lacks consistency in red ball Also want to see fast bowler Kuldeep Rampal sen(140 + speeds) for whiteball cricket (odi and T20). Another one Mayank Yadav is injured.,. .
If this the best bowling attack India could put together with currently available players for tests, then there is a serious problem for upcoming WTC cycle as well.
Let us (and BCCI) not lose sight of the fact that the first 3 tests were deliberately scheduled for venues which would take a toll on any touring side. Simon Doull mentioned this BEFORE India arrived in Australia. By the time more friendly venues came along (MCG and SCG), the bowlers, in particular Bumrah, were a spent force.
As an Aussie , ppl have to understand that that Ranji trophy cricket doesn't even come close to Shield cricket or County cricket. You guys picked a guy named Easwaran in your squad who scored millions in your domestic season , but in the first 2 warm up games got humbled to a point where they didn't consider him at all. I like the fact that Sanjay understands that. If Virat and Rohit wanna prepare for England they should consider to sign up for a county and take things from there , because with no prep Virat's gonna become a nicking machine. Bowls there swing from 3 stump to outside off. I mean on the BGT even though we got fucked in Perth. We won rest of the matches in Brisbane because it was fucking downpouring there just for the week of the test match we were destroying you guys and the rain came and saved your asses. India lost in Melbourne thanks to Rishabh throwing his wicket away. Sydney I knew we won before our second innings started because your attack with Bumrah was a joke.
Bowling looked very bad because of horrendous or lack of planning against weak Oz batting ! Reason why we won previous BGTs is because we had bowling plans clearly charted out against each batter. Coaches have to be held responsible for this !
You don’t need to call Bumrah any kind of bowler other than dangerous. I’m an Aussie fan and every single over he bowled I was nervous there would be a wicket and even if he got one wicket I’d be think far out he’s going to get two this over.
Bang on especially on need for Virat Kohli to play some county cricket to get used to English conditions and get chance for at least two tests to try his luck
India got lucky at Brisbane for sure, but apart from that turn of good fortune fought well enough to say that the final scoreline doesn't tell the whole story. Even the Aussies admitted that the wickets throughout the series, barring Perth, were a little too spicy even for their liking. We could have saved Melbourne where the Aussies were just a half an hour from offering to shake hands and won Sidney but for Bumrah's injury. All in all, an evenly matched series in my opinion.
We have become overdependent on bowlers and batsmen bailing us out. At home when you have Ashwin, Jaddu -- you are playing with 4 players [each a matchwinner-- jaddu the bowler and batter?? ashwin the bowler and the batter] Virat and Rohit [both will not be in the first-11 in England]. In the next 5 years, Its just Jaiswal and Pant that make India's top 6. We need to first ask if we have a batting line up that can make 360 to 400 runs in the 1st innings. we need to have 6 bats|| 1allrounder OR 7 bats|| that is because of the way that this england team plays cricket.
Sanjay does not have test 50 in Australia having batted at no. 3 and here he is taking Washington Sundar to the cleaners for having a total of 140 runs from 6 innings while batting at no.8!
Appointing a "Mentor" of an IPL franchise's team as Head Coach of National Cricket Team, who had no experience of coaching whatsoever because of political pressure, was the epic mistake IMO..
The Indian team needs to shift from attempting to win every single game, to attempting to play the game as per the format. Secondly, star culture should go. Everyone in the team should be given equal importance and chances based on their present form and skill sets.
If the rules that are applied to the players on the field while playing were applied to outside the field aspects like administration, coaching, dealing with corruption and reducing hero worship with the same rigour, then Indian cricket will be in much better shape.
India lost bcz - 1. The star culture kept playing non performers like Rohit and Virat. 2. To accomodate these 2, they added 3 all rounders viz Jadeja, Sundar and Nithish. They could have played 1 proper fast bowler and one more batsman. 3. Unpopular Opinion. But Nithish 30-40 runs in first 2 matches become a problem for India. He was far from the 4th fast bowler and India cannot drop him. He hit a century but again a bowler could have been played or he would have been played as a proper top 6. batsman. 4. India does not have proper plan. When Bumrah is off the attack and other bowlers are hammered then der was no plan B.
I rarely watch these kind of shows of so called analysis but this was to the point and good one. Indirect said Kohli should not be the VC. And truly no one has performed enough to be the VC
Gambhir has belied hopes that he would be a courageous coach taking bold decisions. Consider this After losing the first NZ test he backed spin friendly pitches for the next two even with an Australian tour ahead and it boomeranged badly Rohit should not even have been selected for the Melbourne test forget Sydney Picking two Spinners at Sydney instead of strengthening the batting His coaching staff was also a disaster considering that the batters went from bad to worse after two months in Australia and the bowlers couldn't take advantage of the still spicy Sydney wicket in the second innings of Australia
Don’t blame the players, it’s the management. They didn’t need 2 spinners simple as that. 3 genuine pace and 1 medium pace could have pushed the aussies. GG and rohit focused on batting allrounders like Jadeja and Washi.
Rohit Sharma didn't use the All rounders quite well , he always did like this when Venkatesh Iyer was picked he didn't use him for bowling definitely Venky Iyer not a better batsman but was a good all rounder
He said Nitesh isn't ready as a batsman but the youth almost topped their averages. He said Jadeja's bowling has fallen off but Jadeja took how many wickets in the last couple innings vs NZ? He acknowledged Bumrah needed to be managed yet recommended him as Test captain for another 5 Test series vs England? He criticized the star culture but endorsed Kohli for a Test future? Words Salad 😂
I just don't get the obsession with Washington Sundar. Sure, he’ll chip in with a 40 or 50 now and then, but beyond that, he’s not much of a batter specially at number 8. As for his bowling, let’s just say his spin is so gentle, even the breeze helps it turn more. Why would you even play him in Australia that too on pitches like that. If you had to play a spinner then it had to be leggie. Honestly, the BCCI should save him for pitches that look like the moon's surface - full of craters. Sundar would be perfect for those, consistently hitting the cracks, because that's the only way his deliveries will ever 'spin'.
I beg to differ.. Bumrah should not be overburdened with captaincy. Yes, he did great in Perth as well as Sydney. Rishab Pant should be the captain for Red ball.
Because he at least he performed at least in India. There are players who were joke in both home and Australia. Gill with his technique wouldn’t score any runs outside Asia batting at 3
You don’t know shit about cricket , shubman every time looked most comfortable in Australia then anyother top order batsman ,he just failed after getting start ,just lapse of concentration and trying to up the ante ,see his all dismissals. But yes he can be dropped for not getting big scores for what he is there in top order not for giving just starts. Technique is where he is ahead of his counterparts.
The sad fact is that our domestic cricket circuit is NOT at that position to produce players that can compete in overseas conditions!!! The docile pitches where batsman make hordes of runs is not what you get overseas ( Eng, SA, NZ, Aus).Batsmen don't get exposure to seam or swing and neither we encourage fast bowling or have fast bowling friendly conditions. All our wins are due to individual brilliance or week opponents . Red ball cricket is not promoted and players get selected on IPL performances ..
If that was the case , How did Nitish Reddy score a 100 when it mattered the most at MCG ? Remember the Dhruv Jurel innings against England, Sarfaraz 150 against Eng, Washington doing so good previous BGT as well as this time ! The PROBLEM is NOT domestic cricket, the problem is NOT GIVING CHANCES TO YOUNGSTERS WHO HAVE PERFORMED WELL IN DOMESTIC CKT even if your star players are not performing !!
A past cricket player need not make the best cricket coach. Why can't they make ardent cricket fans like me as a coach? I have been hearing and watching the game for the last 50 of my 60 years. I am confident that I will become a better coach than Gambhir. I do not require crores of rupees as fees. I will do the job just for the love of it and my need for it.
Nothing will change for England tour. Same captain and players will play, Shami and Kuldeep will join along. The same failures in batting will persist as long as this coaching staff remains. We need a test specialist coach like VVS Laxman and his complete Indian subordinates instead of Gambhir, Abhishek Nair, Ryan ten Doeschate, and Morne Morkel.
Indian analyst, commentators, former players mostly predicted 3:1 win, well they never said it was in favor of India lol! Indian test team died the day Kohli dropped Bhuvi after his 6 wicket haul in South Africa. The last series win in Aus was completely due to players wanting to prove their worth. Now everyone is IPL superstar backed by their PR owners! No matter Kohli keeps scores 10 runs per match, he will play next 3-4 years or worst, 10k runs!
Mohammad shami was big miss , it could have 3-1 India winning . Siraj has not delivered as expected from him . Boland comming to 3rd and 4th test and shami missing was big factor .
Specialist batters like Rohit, Gill, Rahul & Virat flopped big time...Specialist bowlers like Harshit, Aakash, Aswin and Siraj flopped....So why is he hammering about specialists
Keeping Bumrah aside, Siraj isn't a quality opening bowler. He's a quality change bowler, perfectly fit to be a 3rd seamer. He doesn't have the control and tends to struggle with his line and length. Where did India's much vaunted pace battery go in a matter of 5 years. Bumrah has to be wrapped in cotton wool now that he broke down again, Shami's injury struggles are well documented and he doesn't have age on his side. Ishant and Umesh were phased out and we have Akash Deep, Arsh Deep and Prasidh left. Aswin has left a void. That's not a quality bowling attack anymore. Our batting is done, Kohli and Rohit look like shells of their former selves. Gill with more than 30 tests still hasn't found his technique to bat long. KL Rahul started well but his struggles with inconsistency continue. Nitish Reddy is too raw to comment on. Jaiswal seems to be only long term batting prospect. This is bare bones stuff. Where is the depth we always rave about?
Gambit is running away from responsibility. In his press conference he said this is not your team or my team, but team of India. Come on he has so much say about who plays during series and still he is making excuses of not owing wrong selections and combinations and draining Buhmra to the point he is now injured. Shameless Gambhir and Rohit and joker Virat
ESPN need to get someone better than this to summarise the BGT. Manjrekar doesn’t deserve to be here. He only makes controversial remarks and senseless comments.
The presenter (not sure what his name is ) says that in the last 6 years, India have been the best test side. I don't what he is smoking and watching! They have lost a home series to NZ. They will lucky to get away with it against Bangladesh at home in the first test. They have lost the WTC final, twice. They did not win the series in SA. These are facts not myths. The problem with Indian cricket is that almost everyone involved (and this includes the media), are not calling it as it is.
In MCG test, third umpire cheated to give Australia the match. India were about to draw that one. And in last match, Bumrah and Shami were absent. Otherwise this series would have been drawn.
In India the Icons are too big to fail …. The band (bcci, the anchors, commentators) just drums them up for ever …. It’s almost like if they call wolf they will lose their lucrative anchoring deals …. Really sad .

Absolutely. Thats why he is not on many comm teams. He is not like Harsha who went from objective commentator to cheerleader
nasty 😂😂, you should avoid cricket, especially playing it. Cause the reality check for you would be man-child abuse for you 😂😂
English my sister. Speak properly
4-1 would have been fair result
Cummins+starc has more runs than Rohit+ Kohli. ..there in lies the core of the problem..and the cricket fraternity in India is too scared to discuss this..such is the player / so called legend cult influence in India
Nope. Fair result would have been 2-2. MCG test was awarded to Aussies by Bangladeshi third umpire.
The kohli and rohit have to go. But youngsters not performing either
Trying to have a deeper batting is the greatest sign of insecurity, all the decisions after that were taken defensively.
Wonderful conversation..reminding one of Nasser hussain and mike Atherton..
A knowledgeable and considered discussion. Such a pleasure. Well done, presenters
At 38 and 36, Rohit Sharma and VK, find place in test side only if they play Ranji/County and show numbers
It was pleasure listening to sanjay
Thanks cricinfo
How come nobody is talking about players not playing First Class cricket anymore?
Sharma last played Ranji in 2015 and Kohli in 2012. By contrast Root and Smith played in the 2024 season of their respective domestic red ball tournaments...
How can one stay a top Test batsman without playing domestic cricket? Is it any wonder that both cannot even play quality spin anymore in Test matches?
Even batsmen like Sidhu and Kambli used to massacre the likes of Warne at home....
Correct
I don't know why nobody is talking. Only you are.
Well.. people in bench played lots and lot of ranji game.
This is Sanjays best analysis so far. To the point and honest
Very pleasantly surprised by Manjrekar!
there is big difference between perth and rest of matches you had specialist batsmen in Perth they didn't contribute but they could've in coming matches of they were given a chance dhruv and devdatt padikal. Shubhman not playing was blessing in disguise in Perth.
Correct..That team would have won...
Just add a pacer instead of Washington...
I agree. Looks like players who are every good in T20 are not very good in tests.
@ANOOPBAL yes
Who to blame - BCCI
That is the main reason, but somehow the experts don't like to bring it up
@praks007 Because they are perhaps associated with the wrong PR agencies. Maybe they don't understand the true value of their image and achievements. It could also be that they are envious of the success or fan base of the great players of today.
Excellent conversation- Manjrekar is impressive. Honest straight up talk without bombast or pandering to any superstar egos.
Fantasfic as usual, few non PR experts left now..hats off Mr. Manjerekar.
Well said Majrekar.. I usually hate you but not right now but you neve know.
Brilliant analysis by Sanjay. Spot on.👏👏
Hats off to Bumrah for his fabulous bowling display during the series.
Boland is a very good bowler. He bowled in a very disciplined fashion and kept the batsmen guessing. India lacks a second strike bowler like Boland.
India needs to give preference to player's who are match winners 🏆 in domestic cricket and not select experience player.
How can players who have never played Test Cricket be assistant batting coaches of the Test Team?
I feel the time is right to introduce atleast two young batsmen in england( just like how Ganguly and Dravid made debut in England). If they are good they will do well in England.
Selectors should have a given chance to Vidwat kaverappa ,for Aus pitches.
But Gambhir preferred Harshit (kkr and Delhi connection).
Honestly believe ,India has some good pace bowling talents .
Another one is Anshul Kamboj from Haryana for test cricket.
Siraj hasnt taken his game to nxt level.,lacks consistency in red ball
Also want to see fast bowler Kuldeep Rampal sen(140 + speeds) for whiteball cricket (odi and T20).
Another one Mayank Yadav is injured.,.
.
If this the best bowling attack India could put together with currently available players for tests, then there is a serious problem for upcoming WTC cycle as well.
Nobody talks about how Hazelwood was injured in Perth and it left only 2 seamers in the team
The Australians also managed their on-field optics well, while the Indian team appeared to have much disagreement among the team members.
During even Tendulkar days we used to lose 3-0 or 4-0 ! This was a closely fought series, we could have even made it 2-2, with a little luck.
that time australian team was 3-4 time better than this team. and our fast bowling was pathetic
And effort and attitude and commitment
Till now, only players are indulged in Match Fixing. Now there is a doubt after BGT, it seems, Selectors and BCCI also indulging in this.
You don’t need to call Bumrah any kind of bowler other than dangerous. I’m an Aussie fan and every single over he bowled I was nervous there would be a wicket and even if he got one wicket I’d be think far out he’s going to get two this over.
Rotate, rotate, rotate the players, give maximum players the crack of playing Test cricket.
Realising Kohli has moved to London, getting a county contract will be nice for him
Bang on especially on need for Virat Kohli to play some county cricket to get used to English conditions and get chance for at least two tests to try his luck
At home when you have Ashwin, Jaddu -- you are playing with 4 players [each a matchwinner-- jaddu the bowler and batter?? ashwin the bowler and the batter]
Virat and Rohit [both will not be in the first-11 in England].
India lost bcz -
Losing is Not a Problem, but the Team selection is.
I rarely watch these kind of shows of so called analysis but this was to the point and good one. Indirect said Kohli should not be the VC. And truly no one has performed enough to be the VC
Sanjay, During the tour, you would refer to him adoringly as, “Washy”. Suddenly after the loss, you call him “Washington” .
Washington needs to have a few good innings before Sanjay reverts to calling him "Washy" again
8:45
Be quiet Krishy
he smartly proving hi statement of bits and peices player is correct , perthitic person
I should say India missed Shami and Kuldeep. Bumrah, Shami, Siraj and Kuldeep is a great bowling attack on any track
India were very defensive, that's why they played 75 allrounders. Very weak.
Yash Jha is such a good interviewer. Asks just the right questions.
I thought it was parthiv patel
Gambhir has belied hopes that he would be a courageous coach taking bold decisions. Consider this
After losing the first NZ test he backed spin friendly pitches for the next two even with an Australian tour ahead and it boomeranged badly
Rohit should not even have been selected for the Melbourne test forget Sydney
Picking two Spinners at Sydney instead of strengthening the batting
His coaching staff was also a disaster considering that the batters went from bad to worse after two months in Australia and the bowlers couldn't take advantage of the still spicy Sydney wicket in the second innings of Australia
Don’t blame the players, it’s the management. They didn’t need 2 spinners simple as that. 3 genuine pace and 1 medium pace could have pushed the aussies. GG and rohit focused on batting allrounders like Jadeja and Washi.
If you played no8 as a pure batsman, then there is a big problem with top order batsmen
In my opinion Laxman was the ideal successor of Dravid.
He's isn't ready despite good score in MCG
India, Pakistan & Sri Lanka all have the same problem. They hardly win any away series because they pick players on reputation rather than form
We didn't have enough net ball bowlers and our main bowlers wernt given a break during net ptactice
Cummins, Bumrah, Jaiswal, and Boland were the best performers in this series.
Also head and smith
Why so biased for Shubhman
Noone is saying that he did not perform 🤔
Because he at least he performed at least in India. There are players who were joke in both home and Australia. Gill with his technique wouldn’t score any runs outside Asia batting at 3
You don’t know shit about cricket , shubman every time looked most comfortable in Australia then anyother top order batsman ,he just failed after getting start ,just lapse of concentration and trying to up the ante ,see his all dismissals.
But yes he can be dropped for not getting big scores for what he is there in top order not for giving just starts. Technique is where he is ahead of his counterparts.
I couldn't imagine how Sara liked such a below par Player 😂
Arjun Tendulkar bats better than Fish Gill 😂
It will be great to see AUS vs SA final, both batting line up is brittle and bowling line up is good . If Boland don’t play final SA will win .
Bumrah is life line of india teams ❤
Specialist batters like Rohit, Gill, Rahul & Virat flopped big time...Specialist bowlers like Harshit, Aakash, Aswin and Siraj flopped....So why is he hammering about specialists
These days match fixing is done with team selection and choice after winning toss.
India need dedicated test player like pujara then rahane , thats biggest draw back of current team.
This team is absolutely one-daycricket.
He only makes controversial remarks and senseless comments.
at what section of this interaction do you have this impression? Sanju is a good thinker and so unbiased and balanced calm
Siraj needs to step up or get dropped. Players needs to play county or ranji
Need an overhaul
Ruturaj
Jaiswal
Sudarshan
Kohli
Shreyas
Pant
Nitish
Kuldeep
Shami
Siraj
Bumrah
The presenter (not sure what his name is ) says that in the last 6 years, India have been the best test side. I don't what he is smoking and watching! They have lost a home series to NZ. They will lucky to get away with it against Bangladesh at home in the first test. They have lost the WTC final, twice. They did not win the series in SA. These are facts not myths. The problem with Indian cricket is that almost everyone involved (and this includes the media), are not calling it as it is.
horses for courses might work in T20s but it doesn't in Tests ! Those selections were laughable
Seriously, we lost to Nz 3 tests in a row in INDIA, why do we think we will do great in AUS against AUS?? In fact, we exceeded expectations.
This Aussie team is average. Sehwag would have destroyed this bowling attack.
@@realnapster1522 Their batting is worse than before but their bowling attack is still top notch.
In MCG test, third umpire cheated to give Australia the match. India were about to draw that one. And in last match, Bumrah and Shami were absent. Otherwise this series would have been drawn.
Dreamer!
In India the Icons are too big to fail …. The band (bcci, the anchors, commentators) just drums them up for ever …. It’s almost like if they call wolf they will lose their lucrative anchoring deals …. Really sad .
In the last 5 years, Kohli has the same average and lesser runs than Zak Crawley. Atleast Crawley had a higher strike rate.
First time in my life- I agree with Sanjay Manjrekar 😂
