**Biswajit Saheb** was a glamours hero. His all movies are very beautiful and immortal. ESPECIALLY Do kaliyan, Night in London, Pardesi, Nai Roshni, Do dil, Paisa aur pyar, Mere sanam, Biwi aur Makan, Vasna, Kaanch ki churiyan, Aashra, Ishq per jor nahin, Ye Raat phir na aayegi and Paisa aur pyar etc all movies are very beautiful and amazing.Thanks **Tabasum ji** for nice presentation and amazing information.

Thank you Tabassum didi for such great programme...since my childhood, my 3 fovorite stars: Shammi Kapoor, Joy Mukerji and Biswajeet, specially cause of the great Mohd. Rafi songs.Didi, the song he sang for 1979's Do Shikari, was sung years ago, possible late 60's, but movie is years later released.

Do Shikaari was the film where Biswajit forcefully kissed Rekha for straight 5 mins. There was a romantic scene in the movie and 15 year old Rekha arrived at the set. She wasn't told about the kissing part. According to Biswajit, Director told him before the take to kiss her. When the scene commenced, Rekha started protesting but he held her tight and continued with the act. The crew members were hooting and cheering his action while the director gleefully captured it in the film. After that scene, Rekha fainted as she got nervous because it was her first Hindi film. The crew continued with their laughs. She couldn't do anything about his perverse action. Rekha was at that time just 15yrs old. 15 years... And Biswajit was 40.. Let that sink in. This pedophile molested a girl and everyone around him was cheering and hooting. Imagine the trauma that it might have inflicted upon that young girl. I don't feel sorry for him turning penniless as it was his Karma.

During my schooling days in mid 60s, school mates used to comment that Biswajit was the only actor who was even more beautiful than many heroines of that time. As I am die hard fan of Mala Sinha, he shared the screen with her in 10 films from Aasra 1966; Tamanna, Jaal and Night in London (all in 1967), Do Kaliyan 1968; Nai Roshni, Pyar Ka Sapna; Paisa ya Pyar (all in 1969), Chahat with Jeetendra 1971 and Phir Kab Milogi 1974 his last film together. You have included three songs from Do Kaliyan and one from Phir kab Milogi. In 1968, Do Kaliyan was the second gross earning movie of the year while Ankhen starrer Mala Sinha Dharmendra was on top. In the same year Tumhara Chahne Wala Khuda ki Duniya mein, mere Siva koyee dusra ho Khuda na kare from Kahin Din Kahin Raat with Sapna, Ye Parbato ke Daire, ye sham ka Dhuwan with Kumud Chhugani from Vasna, tumhari Nazar kyo khafa ho gayee from Do kaliyan and all songs from Kismat including Kazra Mohabbat wala were roaring chartbusters. It was very successful year for Biswajit Ji
I always enjoyed watching his films like Bees Saal Baad and Kohra with Waheeda, Mere Sanam with Asha Parikh, April Phool with Saira Bano, Kismat with Babita, Hare Kanch ki Chudiyan with Kishore Sahu' s daughter, Do Dil with Rajshree, Ye Raat Phir Na Aayegi Sharmila Tagore and Mumtaz, Ishq Par Jor Nahi with Sadhna Dharmendra and all ten films with Mala Sinha and many more. Most of the songs picturized on him and her heroines were super hit and films as well.

Biswajit is one of my favourite actors even though I am younger then his daughter. His movie kohra is one of my favourite and watch it all the time. A true legend and best ever actor. His charm can never die and I am glad to know he is doing well 😊. I wish I could email him and tell him how many Pakistani people liked his movies. Request you to please make an episode on Bengali actors, directors like Uttam Kumar, Soumitra Chatterjee, Utpal Dutta, Satyajit Ray, Tapan Sinha, Ritwik Ghatak and I am sure there are many others. I was a child when Biswajit was a top hero in Hindi movies. Who can forget songs from Do kaliyan, Bees saal baad, Mere sanam etc. In real life he is a great singer, has a good heart- donating money to the poor. He messed up his life later by having extra marital affairs, leaving his first wife Ratna and their children. He patched up with his son Prasenjit who is also an actor much later.
I saw his movie “ Do Kaliya” in my childhood. Our childhood favorite actor handsome Bishwajeet .

Biswajit...was asked to sigh 3 years contract by Guru Dutt for Saheb biwi or ghulam movie. It was quite prevelent those days among producers to make newcomers to sign this kind of legal contract. Biswajit wasn't ready to bind him as these producers sometimes didn't allow to take new project as the newcomer was under a legal contract. had this wasn't the condition Biswajit was all set to do the role. Had he done it it would have been equally good. Though Guru Dutt too was excellent.
I have watched most of Biswajit movies as they family entertainers. Dad was sure there won't be any emarrassing moments.

Guru Dutt, Geeta Dutt and Abrar Alvi first saw him performing in a play in Calcutta. When he moved to Bombay, he fooled around with the Bengali gang, comprised of Hemant Kumar, Geeta Dutt, Smriti Biswal, Asit Sen etc, enjoying his drinks and a game of cards. Hemant Kumar told him about the eccentric mind of Guru Dutt which actually compelled him to pull out of Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam otherwise he would have been Bhoothnath.
His son hates him as he could never forgive his dad who cheated on his mom.
a few years back, he used to sing songs of his own films in live concerts in Europe.
