This new Mig-29 is amazing! The Tomcat should defitely have an upgraded version, bigger size, 90mm metal caged EDF, better landing gear and overall scale improvements to match the Mig. 2 of my favourite planes. Great video!

James you did great in the landing 🤠,the Mig is not a carrier born aircraft,as the Tomcat which all things considered is a perfect copy of the real deal it will have better approximation control. Still like the Mig Fulcrum.

I have seen the way out there expensive models but had no idea that something so affordable was available. I will definitely be getting one . Do you have any of the Tuskegee Airmen models?

As cool as these are, can we see a 9th or 12th scale Lippisch with retracts blowing air from an 80mm fan?? That would rock the socks of SO many edf lovers who've cut their teeth on the 64mm Freewing edfs but want to see their Lippisch in a new light. Let's do it!!
It’s all aerodynamics because if you say the Mig is definitely bigger than the tom cat and they both have twin 80mm, unless maybe a new models of 80mm with a better efficiency, otherwise being bigger must be a little heavier. Both terrific 👍👍👍
Not necessarily. The Tomcat is older but also has more weight due to the wing sweeping mechanism. But both fly terrifically on the new inrunner power systems
@@MotionRC I know both seems to be great but if they have the same power and one look more powerful than the other, it got to be for some reason, so I figured out it must have been the weight, but I didn’t thought of the wings mécanisme, and since most of it is in styrofoam the weights difference would be so big, I thought it would be more of the design and aerodynamic !? One who slipped more in the airs would go faster. I’m an avid sportbikes fan and I’ve did roll-on races with one friend, and we were very equals pine down side by side of each other, and one day I was beating him every times, you know what the difference was ? I had just polish my bike for hours, when I was passing my fingers on the body it was gliding has so slippery, but side by side me and him I was leaving him on the roads, slowly but surely, swear to god it’s true, sometimes little things do big difference. 👍👍👍👍

GREAT flights! Great aircraft! Video was an 8, would be a 9.5 if we cut down on the narration by about 75%. The information is good, but the 'charm and color-commentating' was a bit too much ;)
The Tomcats wings are fully auto during combat.. they are variable in the real bird meaning its not always fully forward or fully back.. depending on speed the wings react.
I definitely wouldn't mind chasing the Mig with my Iranian Tomcat, you were wondering why I called it the Alley Cat it is the name of that Iranian scheme. But I'll definitely be ready to be chased by a American tomcat!

Why doesn't the Tomcat come with the same power system as the Mig 29? The tomcat is way under powered out of the box, where the mig 29 isn't. We all have to spend way extra money to upgrade the tomcat power to the mig 29 making it a very expensive plane that isn't fun on the wallet.
The jets are amazing, that field makes me cringe. Covered by trees on all sides, no thanks. Always in a turn at that point. Might as well be a Nascar race lol
So little time with the wings swept back... such a shame. I always thought the f14 with the swept wing was the best looking plane on the field and the f14 with the unswept wing was the ugliest...

Many have a sweet spot for the Tomcat
Ditto. Prefer the ability to look and fly two different ways with those sexy sweeping wings.
Put the same size of fans in the tomcat, with the wings swept back im very sure it would out run the mig. They both sound good
The tomcat is also 80mm, just not inrunner as stock just yet

Im going to scratch build '' BUFF '' with 8-50mm fans , the w.s. aprox 80ish to 90ish

We have done it off our grass and will show it as soon as we get to it. But our field isn't really a good judgement of real grass fields.

The flying isn't necessarily hard, it's the mixing needed. But I think it's definitely a 4th or 5th jet. Make sure your comfortable flying edfs

Both planes are great. But why are the flight times so low ? Should get 5 minutes atleast with dual batteries .
