  • Ohio State Football rolled past the Marshall Thundering Herd with an explosive 49-14 victory.
The Buckeyes’ offense came ready to play, led by standout performances from running backs TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins, each rushing for 2 touchdowns and showcasing their top-tier speed. Henderson’s agility and Judkins’ power were on full display as they cut through the defense, leaving the Herd in the dust.
Not to be outdone, wide receiver Emeka Egbuka had a game to remember, with a spectacular catch and dash into the end zone, pushing him ever closer to breaking Ohio State Football's all-time career receiving yards record.
Will Howard remained consistent, getting it done through both the air and the ground and utilizing the standout players on offense to score touchdown after touchdown.
While the top-ranked Buckeye defense seemed a bit sleepy at times, the offense more than made up for it, putting on a show for the home crowd.
The Buckeyes’ defense, usually known for its dominance, didn’t quite live up to its top-ranked status in this matchup against Marshall.
While Ohio State Football’s defense has been a powerhouse all season, there were moments where they seemed to lack their usual intensity and focus. Missed tackles and a few blown coverages allowed the Thundering Herd to find the end zone twice, which is uncharacteristic of a unit that prides itself on shutting down opponents.
Although the game never felt out of reach, the defense will need to tighten up as tougher competition looms on the horizon. Ohio State Football’s defensive coaches will no doubt be reviewing the tape, aiming to correct the lapses and return to the high standard expected of them in the next game.
Ohio State Football is gearing up for a pivotal matchup against Michigan State, a game that will test the Buckeyes' resilience and discipline. The Spartans, now under the leadership of head coach Jonathan Smith, have transformed into a well-balanced team with an emphasis on strong offensive schemes.
Leading the charge for Michigan State is dual-threat quarterback Aidan Chiles, who has the ability to make plays both through the air and on the ground. His mobility and decision-making will challenge Ohio State’s defense, which is looking to rebound after a slightly inconsistent performance in their last game.
The Buckeyes will need to contain Chiles and disrupt the Spartans’ offensive flow to prevent him from extending plays or turning broken pockets into big gains. Linebacker play will need to step it up with Cody Simon, Sonny Styles, CJ Hicks, and Arvell Reese all likely seeing playing time.
Although the Spartan air attack shouldn't be a huge concern, Davison Igbinosun, Denzel Burke, Caleb Downs, Jordan Hancock, Lathan Ransom and the rest of the secondary will need to stay alert to prevent any long passes from getting into the end zone.
On the offensive side, Ohio State Football’s explosive attack will aim to exploit Michigan State’s defensive vulnerabilities.
Running backs TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins are primed for another strong performance, and wide receiver Emeka Egbuka will continue his chase for the career receiving yards record. Will Howard, Jeremiah Smith, and Carnell Tate will also no doubt make an impact as well as the offensive line looks to gel even more as a unit.
The Spartans' defense, while physical, has shown susceptibility to big plays, and Ohio State’s high-powered offense could take full advantage.
If the Buckeyes can establish the run early and mix in their deep passing game, they’ll put the pressure on Michigan State to keep pace. However, the Spartans will be motivated to pull off the upset, making this a must-watch Big Ten showdown.
Buckeye Nation, get ready as Ohio State Football keeps up the momentum and pushes toward another dominant season!

This is a channel for those who bleed scarlet and gray. My hope is this channel will help fans get hyped as we cheer on the scarlet and gray all the way to the natty this year!
If you are looking for a place online where you can get excited about the next Ohio State football game with fellow fans, this is the place for you. Join me each week and let’s get pumped for the upcoming game together!
My name is Lisa, and I am an Ohio-born and bred Buckeye fan. While my entire family is all die-hard Buckeyes, I didn’t pay much attention to football until my jr. high years, when the Buckeyes went all the way and won the National Championship.
That was all it took for me to catch the fever, and I crossed the line to the point of no return. Since then, I too bleed scarlet and gray, even after moving across the country to Los Angeles, California. From my home in sunny California, I continue to fangirl every Saturday the Buckeyes are playing (and let’s be honest, also any time they're not).

Hi Lisa, love the podcast, your enthusiasm and cheerful exuberance is so contagious. I feel good about the team and it's schedule, from Iowa through Penn State is the toughest. Then Indiana and ttun at the end. We still have time to iron out the kinks. Our D-line has been dormant since 2020, and I don't blame LJ. LJ had them playing aggressive, then Knowles comes in talking about containment and the jack position, that crap doesn't work in the B1G. If we can get through that mid-season gauntlet unscathed we'll be ok providing we don't have a meltdown against ttun or a total collapse in the playoffs like we did against Missou last year. Anyway love you ❤ and the show. Glad you're out here on the best coast with us. Go Bucks !!!

Thanks for watching and commenting!! Def think this team will put it all together as they head into the tougher stretch of our schedule. I’m very hopeful and the ceiling is so high for them this year. Go Bucks!!

I agree no way Knowles has a vanilla scheme against MSU.
As for Saturday I guess I’ll start by giving props to the offense which looks to be unstoppable. ST miscues were inexcusable. I think Fielding may have been hurt & have never seen that happen three times in a row. Inniss has been very aggressive on punt returns but seems to have lost sight of that one in the sun. Either way that needs to be cleaned-up. On defense not having Williams was very noticeable. So DT depth could be a major concern. tOSU did pitch a shutout in the second half but the Marshall QB, as you mentioned, got hurt on the opening drive. I want to be optimistic and say the defense was coming off a bye week against Marshall on a noon kick-off so they came out flat.
We shouldn’t lose sight the defense has been superior overall & only are allowing 6.6 PPG.
Also I’m a pretty big Joel Klatt fan. But he definitely mailed in his effort on Saturday.

What, second half shut out isn't good enough for you. Give them a break, I can't ever remember the Buckeyes didn't look sluggish coming out of the bye week. They will get it tightened up, only 3rd game . As long as they keep winning.

Only Urban could lose to Mich St. Purdue, and Iowa. He left so much money on the table. I almost cried.

I love seeing our defense shut teams out, ngl 😊 but I do know that’s unrealistic every game. Thanks for watching Charles!

I'll say this, other than the 2 games a year he plays hard, JTT is very average and the linebackers aren't nearly as elite as the secondary.

The secondary is so 🔥🔥 and JTT has his flashes, just wish we saw it out of him consistently 🤞

You guys crack me up. Watch some video on the UNC / James Madison game for a real "what happened". Maybe just watch 2nd quarter highlights.

Marshall SHOULD OF had 21 points but the ref cheated Marshall out of the fumble recovery and I even called it before the ref threw the late BOGUS FLAG saying Marshall was lined up wrong on the line of scrimmage. They were lined up correctly, they were told to make sure this game couldn't be close, so Vegas could make they're money. With all these betting sites and now Vegas being involved, these games are now like the NFL, The National Fixed League, who has their Entertainment License so they can now legally fix the outcome of games to make them more ENTERTAINING! Get used to it, that's why the refereeing is so bad now, it's RIGGED.

you don't seem to know much about line of scrimmage rules. The player clearly, by about a yard, was not on the line of scrimmage. Marshall couldn't keep the game close because they were giving up 9 yards per rush attempt. Both Judkins & Henderson were averaging over 12 yards per carry.

The penalty did feel like a lucky break for the Buckeyes because that would have set Marshall right up to score 😬
