Only Achara can understand the soft and intricate emotional Indian movies. Even Jaby gives really weird and seemingly offensive reactions sometimes. Not sure why we need validation from foreigners on our emotions about our native movies. Without being negative about them, they have been raised in a different culture altogether and will probably never understand these things.
Diary scene is where Aman say’s everything that he ever wanted to tell naina and that was all naina wanted to hear from Aman. But neither Aman said anything nor Naina heard anything. Reaction of this movie is killing meeee!!
I got Goosebumps all over my body on that Diary Scene.. Even though I'm watching this movie for 100th time.. But these guys seemed so confused.. I thought they would get chills watching this but just the opposite of it happened 🫤
I'm realizing that from a western perspective - some of those SRK moments seem downright creepy and psychotic - but for 90s kids. It was us living vicariously through him because we would be too shy and hesitant to express emotions like that - especially in public. The underlying understanding being that we wall want to do that, but don't because of societal constraints.
In karan johar's book , he wrote that , his father died during the shoot of kal ho na ho , After finishing the movie , he kept the title . The story was coincidentally connected to director's father's story .. KAL HO NA HO ( Tomorrow will be there or not )
Steph and Syntell, you guys are missing the point !! 😅 The diary reading scene, Aman was using that moment to express his own feelings to Naina, and it's soo freaking sad as Aman can't directly tell Naina that he loves him as doing so would only lead to Naina getting sad and depressed as he has only some time left to live. Aman loves her so much that he wants her to live a happy life with Rohit as his dying wish. This scene is a CLASSIC ! but it's not your fault. y'all are giving full attention towards the movie Idk it has something to do with the cultural difference, the subtitle barrier or maybe it just feels outdated watching it now then again, the movie came out in 2003, like 20 years ago and it was so BIG at the time. Next time y'all watch this scene, try to express the scene's meaning with your heart 🙂
I love Steph and Syntel but i wish Achara was there too, i mean she would have understood the movie way better than them. Cos SRK each dialogue in this movie is very emotional and convincing. But unfortunately Steph and Syntel are not catching the emotion. I mean, can't blame them too😔😓
Nothing against the new name, but the og name Jaby Koay is an emotion to me. I have been watching this channel since 2016 and now it's just feeling odd.
These people couldn't understand the title track also. One of the most beautiful songs of all times. Also it conveys the central message of the movie. You simply can't understand Indian movies without understanding the music lyrics . Indian and American culture are just too different to each other . It's even more true for old classics Indian movies .
And also shes narrating the story as well for the viewers to get whats happening . and SRK crying when he hangs up saying she said YES is pain and happiness at the same time because hes sure Rohit will take care of her but he wont be the one to.
How did none of us realise "Aman ne hi humein milwaya tha" might mean Aman DID the EXACT same thing with Priya before. Made her marry Sanjay Kapoor because he's dying.
This is one of my fave SRK movies and loved it when it came out but have noticed it has not aged well. I still love it now but have seen so many foreigner UA-cam reactors not love the movie at all, the way we Desi’s loved it back in 2003. They don’t understand that level of humour, editing and style was cool back then (very Friends/ Will and Grace-ish). It may be cheesy/cringe now, but in 2003, we didn’t have much choice like we do now and it was considered one of the hippest Bollywood movies of it’s time. I’m disappointed the magic isn’t mutual but hey ho that’s life! 😅
I appreciate you guys reacting to it, but these movies probably can't be appreciated by non Indians or people not heavily familiar with Indian movies. This movie, in my opinion, has aged very well. It's captivating for the entirety of its length, and the same cannot be said about many movies from decades gone by.
I agree with you! I will say that some foreigners can enjoy it because my friend loved it and has a soft spot for it. But I do know that not everyone will enjoy it though, it is more loved by an Indian audience.
This movie has aged well?? 😂 Dude, Kanta ben is a homophobic 6 din ladki in - did you see SRK's hand movement? I love this movie, but it has definitely not aged well!
@@mayank_pratapsingh She is homophobic, but the movie makes fun of that homophobia. During that first scene with Aman and Rohit, Aman intentionally acted like they were a couple to mess with her because he knew thats how she felt. That’s how I see it at least.
@@mallikaanand7917 i would agree to you if the movie had stopped there. But remember when Saif's dad confuses Saif to be gay, and takes him to a strip club - Saif replies 'normal chhe'. Reaction of this movie is killing meeee!!
We all are here for the DIARY SCENE.
Srk !!❤
This movie was and will always be Bollywood instant classic
I got Goosebumps all over my body on that Diary Scene.. Even though I'm watching this movie for 100th time..
But these guys seemed so confused..
I thought they would get chills watching this but just the opposite of it happened 🫤
I'm realizing that from a western perspective - some of those SRK moments seem downright creepy and psychotic - but for 90s kids. It was us living vicariously through him because we would be too shy and hesitant to express emotions like that - especially in public.
The underlying understanding being that we wall want to do that, but don't because of societal constraints.
Nothing feels more annoying than Steph chanting “Waitt whaaattt, whattttt izzz thizzz” on every important, beautiful and emotional scene!
100%
Fr
Exactly :/
In karan johar's book , he wrote that , his father died during the shoot of kal ho na ho , After finishing the movie , he kept the title . The story was coincidentally connected to director's father's story .. KAL HO NA HO ( Tomorrow will be there or not )
Steph and Syntell, you guys are missing the point !! 😅
The diary reading scene, Aman was using that moment to express his own feelings to Naina,
and it's soo freaking sad as Aman can't directly tell Naina that he loves him
as doing so would only lead to Naina getting sad and depressed as he has only some time left to live.
Aman loves her so much that he wants her to live a happy life with Rohit as his dying wish.
This scene is a CLASSIC !
but it's not your fault. y'all are giving full attention towards the movie
Idk it has something to do with the cultural difference, the subtitle barrier or maybe it just feels outdated watching it now
then again, the movie came out in 2003, like 20 years ago and it was so BIG at the time.
Next time y'all watch this scene, try to express the scene's meaning with your heart 🙂
@You alright boi ? yeah. the western POV basically haha
Ahhh just a little more, you guys! keep uploading today!
Nobody can pull the emotions the way SRK does
The diary scene 🥺❤️
SRK most humble person in Bollywood 🇮🇳👑❤️
I love Steph and Syntel but i wish Achara was there too, i mean she would have understood the movie way better than them. Cos SRK each dialogue in this movie is very emotional and convincing. But unfortunately Steph and Syntel are not catching the emotion. I mean, can't blame them too😔😓
Nothing against the new name, but the og name Jaby Koay is an emotion to me. I have been watching this channel since 2016 and now it's just feeling odd.
"What is going ooon?"
Meanwhile, Indians: **crying inconsolably**
These people couldn't understand the title track also. One of the most beautiful songs of all times. Also it conveys the central message of the movie. You simply can't understand Indian movies without understanding the music lyrics . Indian and American culture are just too different to each other .
It's even more true for old classics Indian movies .
Okay just watching the reaction make me already cry.. Ah the pain I always have in my heart while watching this movie
And also shes narrating the story as well for the viewers to get whats happening .
and SRK crying when he hangs up saying she said YES is pain and happiness at the same time because hes sure Rohit will take care of her but he wont be the one to.
Shah rukh makes me so emotional that I can't control he is an inspiration to me love you King Khan
How did none of us realise "Aman ne hi humein milwaya tha" might mean Aman DID the EXACT same thing with Priya before.
Made her marry Sanjay Kapoor because he's dying.
congrats on the new name of your channel..its preety good !!
Take a shot every time someone asks "Wait, whaaaaat?"
Steph is so cuteeeee... I have already fallen for her cuteness....
I wish you the best for ur life...
7:10 those are aman's feelings for naina which he was trying to say on behalf of rohit
SRK indirectly said I love you to her
I liked this movie when I was a kid but what had happened to my elders like it's so funny and people used to love this movie at that time!
😂😂
The amount of time Steph has said “whaaattt” 😂 love her !!
I feel maybe the new name could have been "Jaby & The Masalas" it would have been a less shocking transition for us 😄
This is one of my fave SRK movies and loved it when it came out but have noticed it has not aged well. 😅
loving the comments on this one,
also, whatever happened to the new intro music @jaby ....
I was digging it..
These two needed Achara's guide watching this movie no offence lol. The parts they're confused about are so essential to the story line but damn lol
You dont get most of the jokes/emotions in the movie because you dont know the language. Its just can never be the same with subtitles.
Them not understanding the depth of these scenes was honestly tough for me to watch because these were the very scenes that touched our souls
Dude, Kanta ben is a homophobic
6 din ladki in - did you see SRK's hand movement?
I love this movie, but it has definitely not aged well!
@@mayank_pratapsingh She is homophobic, but the movie makes fun of that homophobia. During that first scene with Aman and Rohit, Aman intentionally acted like they were a couple to mess with her because he knew thats how she felt. That’s how I see it at least.
@@mallikaanand7917 i would agree to you if the movie had stopped there. But remember when Saif's dad confuses Saif to be gay, and takes him to a strip club - Saif replies 'normal chhe'. As if being gay wasn't normal.
Lets face it, Bollywood didn't know any better in 2000s. So I'd still say this movie hasn't aged well.
@@mayank_pratapsingh Oh right… yeah you’re right, there’s no excuse for that one. I didn’t think of it much when I was younger, but now I do wish they didn’t imply that it’s not normal
Uff... The diary scene... Srk is god of acting
It was so confusing reaction I had ever seen 🤣🤣
These are The Masalas that you need in your daily life.💥💥
Why did he change the channel name?
@@ashvinkasture1174 check out latest short on this channel
@@ashvinkasture1174 he has a short video on the channel explaining it. It's because there are several regular reactors on this channel not just him
Got it, thanks
This is much better than Hollywood classic romantic movies
It's funny that didn't understood the most iconic scene in this movie. The diary scene
Jabby and Achara will better react on this...... They have that feeling and emotional touch to understand this.
steph looked so uncomfortable during the kantabhen gay scenes lmaooo. this film is old, lgbt was a comedic element in films back then, its only recently coming out of that.
Waiting eagerly for Part 4!!
Shouldn't take Jaby Koay out of the channel name completely
Looking your third part reaction, I want to go back to watch the movies remainings, but I want to see your reaction on the part 4 ! Controlled myself
This movie not for foreigners 😭 they can't understand the feelings of this movie...
It depends what type of foreigner. I am Kurdish and I can totally understand the emotions and I even watched SRK movies as a child
Sweetu is the MVP of this movie. Delnaaz Irani was so good 👏🏽
Steph needs a female companion to cry while watching this movie
day 6 cameo Uday Chopra
Love you, Shahrukh ❤
Not taking away from u guys but Achara would hv realised the diary scene instantly considering the fact that she is the most familiar member of your team to Indian sensibilities and emotions..the fact that u guys could not understand the diary scene literally broke my interest in this reaction
Is this a prank? The name Jaby Koay would already push you at the top of search results, I don't understand the name change
The Masalas 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Why was she confused at so many pints throughout this video lmao
I was facepalming 🤦🏻♀️ after seeing her confused reaction the whole time
Everyone watches this movie for SRK everyone is in team Aman but I'm in team Rohit one of my fav characters. One of my fav movies bcz of Saif I watch this.
Diary scene was most heartbreaking scene . They didn't understand that 😢
Wtf u two of us guys that's dairy scene very emotional
They aren't getting a lot of emotions..may be that's how a foreigner would react..my heart aches even after watching this movie so many times..i get goosebumps..but i am sure they aren't enjoying this movie..this movie is all about emotions..if u don't get it, u won't enjoy this at all...not blaming them..may be some emotions are culture/country specific...
The title in Intro is still read as JABY KOAY.
Please do watch 'Kal ho na ho - The revisit' by Only Desi. It's a funny movie review
Yes.. Yes..
The Masalas 😂 Aaye Haaye
Childhood memories ❤❤❤❤evergreen 🎉
I don't get mad I don't seek validation neither do I get offended by anything they say like others I just get a little bit frustrated cuz I want them to understand and enjoy. A simple explanation on what they missed is all they need not the moral obligations of understanding everything. ✌️
