One thing I've noticed about Deji's face - offs is he used to come off as really cocky and say what he's going to do to his opponent in the ring, whereas this one he's kept quiet. Although Deji was giving pretty bad answers, I do think this is a better approach for Deji. Honestly hope Deji wins, becuase I feel like he has the ability, but only time will tell, come on Dej!! 💙

some may say JJ was arrogant in the face off, but imo you need to have (or fabricate) some kind of grudge against the opponent in order to truly fight them. Its human nature, JJ did it very well.
JJ is just playing the heel in this fight. Otherwise it would be nowhere near as interesting since Alex is such a nice guy (and so bad at promoting the fight).

Sure, you lost three fights, but you're portraying yourself as changed, calm, humble, and everything in between. And when he said, "He's doing this fight for himself," thats cap. To be fair, although Deji kind of looks like he's being made to do this and doesn't actually want it, he's actually done the right thing in staying low to the ground and just trying not to give Fousey the satisfaction of getting into his head.
Could be some reverse psychology in there to try to frustrate Fousey by not giving him a reaction, but it also seems to be something he's learned from his last fight against Alex when he talked all that shit, raised everybody's expectations, and then failed to deliver, which is never a good look. He doesn't want to make the same mistake again this time around. I respect that.

Just want to tell the comments, you don't know how Deji is, you don't know how it is to be a fighter and to be asked questions, you don't how it feels to lose and to then fight again, people saying "He said that last time" when Simon says something positive about Deji, maybe he did but they only have a few rounds under a shit tonne of pressure to show what they can do, I believe Deji is very skilled, he has the confidence to slip overhands like he did against Wassabi and he did it brilliantly, the confidence to slip big shots under the lights is something that takes ages or come naturally and so that alone is why I think Deji will win, IF HE THROWS, he needs to be first and anticipate the counter and then counter the counter, and he'll have it

As for Deji, yes he has lost all his fights so it's understandable that he took the silent approach but does he really have to dead it? He could have said the same things but with more energy but this felt like his parents forced him to fight. And on the other hand, Fousey did much better to show energy and enthusiasm and tried to make things interesting.
