Shall we put any seat covers in Elite i20 Asta (O) 2017 model ?? My concern is it has got 6 airbags, 2 of which come inside the front seats, and therefore seat covers may affect airbags to get deployed during an impact. If your answer is NO, then how to prevent seats from getting dirty ? Please advise.

You need to have parking brake applied to play video. Car running or not has nothing to do with AVN in i20 but it talks with hand brake and you need to apply hand brake.
So while on move, we can't watch movies on AVN ... Right? Then why can't I opt asta (not asta optional) and attach another touchscreen navigation system .. What is Ur opinion? Only the DRLs, headlamps and AVN is aedtionaly provided in the top trim na... I'm confused Gagan
+nithin mohan That will be actually a good decision I think. Book asta and ask hyundai to add those things. In that way you will get ECM and additional charging socket too. But I doubt a hyundai dealer would agree to it.

As per news it's available for 2016 6 airbag model..i contacted service center and give it my vehicle for update they don't know about the recent update but they tried and informed me after download they didn't get approval for update. What is the current status?

Very Informative Video. Covered almost all features of AVN (except the functionality of a enter label) .. i was looking for a similar hands on videos from months together. Thanks Gagan. I am Planning for i20 Active SX Petrol Variant because of higher ground clearance & initial tweaked low speed response for stop and go bumper to bumper traffic (at a slight release of clutch without pressing accelerator ) which is kind of missing in elite i20 petrol variants as it tends to stall most of times (as per my experience during 3 test drives on elite )
I tested i20 active too and found nothing different in the engine. If you have tested personally and it stalled, go with active then. :) Anyway, my father took just two days to get out of the stall thing and now even he do not stall in second gear. Though I too love those black bumpers of i20 which can handle scratches and minor hugs from other cars in traffic. Thanks for your appreciation.
Thanks for sharing your experience on the engine stalling part. I currently own a Beat diesel... which performs superbly during bumper to bumper traffic by using only clutch. However, i want to know on your experience on elite Petrol Variant Brakes & Suspension reaon being Elite asta (o) is priced 1 lakh below active sx. During my consecutive test drives on elite pertrol asta, i felt the brakes very little spongy (slow in response... i had to brake harder for just slowing down from speed of 60 Kmph to 20Kmph ) and suspension was slightly better (little stiffer) in elite diesel variant than in petrol variants (which i believe will help in better load carrying capacity and rear end will may not sag down similar to usual swift/swift dzire cars)
Had no problem in suspension like what you say we see in swift etc. In diesel i20 I found suspension to be a bit different and I think its that extra weight diesel engine have than the petrol and suspensions are usually soft for diesel compared to petrol. And believe me, you can do clutch only thing in traffic (Can not match the diesel car thing due to low-end torque) Barkes are not very quick I agree, but they really have short braking distance. I have not driven any non-ABS car so I really can not say if there can be a difference due to ABS. But I feel i20 brakes be same as my Ecosport.

While test driving active petrol variant, Did u see any advantages in ride height, handling & build quality in active petrol SX apart from 190 mm ground clearance and plastic body cladding + front/rear faux skid plates over elite petrol.
+Uday Nair Actually I was short in budget. Otherwise I would have opted active. Why? Increased height. No difference in handling. Those black plastics around which can take small scratches and show no color change. Good interior. Go with it. But warn you, it has a bit of less average. Just one figure low but may be that would matter you. I drive in villages to so I wanted that active like features.
If you relly need Touch screen system, Go with Asta O. If not, Ask hyundai to give Asta with DRLs and Projector Headlamps. If they agree in 10-15,000. Go with Asta having Asta O like headlamps but no AVN.
Dear Gagan, now new AVN is coming with complete Change in GUI, there is no slot for SD card it is inbuilt now. New AVN is so smooth, touch is very responsive. So many options added in menu option of every mode.

The UI of MY AVN is Bit Different, I have Purchased it on Sept 2016, Asta (O), Manufactured JUNE 16, Can You Please tell the Firmware Version of the Car You Reviewed. And also SD Map is Not Written on My Version.
Its 2 Airbag Model only, But Few Things are Similar With 6 Airbag Model. But Speed-Sensing Door lock is Not Active though. But I have talked with the dealer, they said It can be activated If We want it.
There are only two models of i20 Asta O. One is the two Airbag one. And other is having 4 more Airbags, Speed sensing door lock, height adjustable seat belt and new AVN interface.
my asta o model 2016 Nov while driving suddenly power goes off and comes back in few seconds happened 2nd times in a month is it normal or its having a problem

hey gagan i am going to buy 120 sports petrol. in sports avn is not there i talked dealers to take extra money and fit avn system but they refused to do that. is there any other path to get avn in sports version.
Brother if dealer refused it, better ask them to do that after selling it. They will do it I guess. However, I have heard from sources that Hyundai is not ready to do that in any variant apart from Asta. That is USP for them.
Go to some open area, then go to maps and its options. Open GPSinfo there. It will tell you time and all there. Then in that very same state turn the whole audio system off. Turn on after 2 minutes and go back to the same option and see it that shows correct location and time. It is all due to GPS-based clock.

Getting 11 in city and 16 on the highway. And there is no Display of mileage on cluster of Ast O also.

Yes, we get card free and map preloaded. And Date and time are automatically set as per GPS.

Hai Gagan, I have seeing few of your videos and it’s pretty good 👍🏻I have a problem with AVM facing now - Whenever I receive a call connected to Bluetooth it rings at the maximum sound even though I reduce the sound it will come to the maximum volume when phone rings. Sadly called the service centre they say it’s common. Can you tell me if there’s a way to do anything about it ? Hyundai I20 Asta optional 2017 model. Thanks in advance.

hey gagan i am going to buy 120 sports petrol. in sports avn is not there i talked dealers to take extra money and fit avn system but they refused to do that.
is there any other path to get avn in sports version.
Brother if dealer refused it, better ask them to do that after selling it. They will do it I guess. However, I have heard from sources that Hyundai is not ready to do that in any variant apart from Asta. That is USP for them.

Hi gagan. how do you change clock settings on the AVN. my clock is showing wrong time due to some reason.
Go to some open area, then go to maps and its options. Open GPSinfo there. It will tell you time and all there. Then in that very same state turn the whole audio system off. Turn on after 2 minutes and go back to the same option and see it that shows correct location and time. It is all due to GPS-based clock.

You must be having the new 6 Airbag version. And clock only comes when you turn off the AVN.
