The $20 gold piece sounds unbelievable----thanks for letting us know about it! I never expect to see one myself---but it's nice to read about them. Thank you J & B!
I don't know anything about $20 coins or gold coins. It was really great to learn a little about them. I wouldn't have guessed they were produced as late as 1933.
That would be something to find a 1933 dbl eagle. The bad part is you couldn't tell anybody. The mint knows some are iut there and no more will be released so why don't they make them exempt from being confiscated
What a beautiful Coin. It’s unfortunate that the government banned others from having access to this coin. That’s the government. Well, at least I have gained the history of this beautiful item. The government cannot take that away. Thank you JBCOINSINC.
They are magnificent coins. A while ago a lady found ten in her safety deposit box. Her fathers was supposedly the thief in 33 he worked at mint. She has been in long legal battle. Love vids
I actually did know a little bit about the ‘33 Double Eagle. I heard a story about two from Pennsylvania I think from my coin store guy. I also have a book about it sitting in my amazon cart.
The 33 gold Double eagle is a very Beautiful coin and. I would love to see one in person owning any year of these coins would be great. They need to lift the ban on the 33 coins.
Illegal to own? Wow!! 1933 DOUBLE EAGLE COIN IS WAYYYYY MORE VALUABLE THAN I WOULD EVER HAD GUESSED!! Thanks for all of the great videos you guys produce!! Penny in GA
They are really beautiful 20$ gold coins would love to come across 1933 double eagle I guess I’ll keep dreaming because it being illegal makes it impossible to own
1933 Double Eagles being illegal is a bummer! What a beautiful coin! It would be a dream to own one of the few but you'd be lucky and unlucky at the same time if you had did!👍Thanks J&B
I didn’t even know there was a double eagle 20.00 coin... it’s absolutely beautiful tho. I think the high relief type 1 is the prettiest and would love to add one to my collection. Wow, 7 million dollars. That’s unreal. Illegal to own, what?! Then what was the purpose of creating the coin, if it can’t be owned and appreciated by someone who will do so. Thanks J&B for sharing this video and having me apart of the family. Look forward to seeing y’all tonight!
The 33 double eagle is the most expensive? Wow. I think my grandfather had something like that. Just remember a gold colored coin. I was only 9 at the time. He'd be amazed at what they are worth these days.
Saint-Gaudens twenty dollar coins go for over $1600 and will never be in my inventory. But if I see a 1933 Double Eagle, I will definitely buy it for a couple of million and sell it privately.
I would not waste my money owning one of these coins. Could not show anyone, could not display. Pointless coin really to own. So in reality it's basically worthless. Rather own a coin that is legal. Great video hope you have a great weekend.
Very cool coin i would love to see one in person even though its elegal to have the 1933. I think the Treasury dept needs to reevaluate these coins being elegal and let the public sell and trade them.
St Gaudens is such a beautiful gold coin. I hope to add one to the collection one of these days. I can’t believe the 33 double eagle sold for 7 million. Such a rare but illegal coin to own
Only The U. S. Mint can do this and get away with it. The 1883, 1913, and so on to this day. That is truly what makes the hunt some much fun. Gold, Silver, and just plain coins.
Very cool gold coins, especially that 1933 double eagle. If I ever find one I'm keeping quiet. But confiscating coins is just insane. Never knew about these and how much they are worth. Thanks for sharing J&B.
I have a 1933 Saint-Gaudens Twenty Dollar coin "copy" dated 2003. Is this ownable and is there any value in it? And yes, under States in relief is Copy instead of Twenty Dollars. It's in excellent shape.
Woow beautiful gold coin, it would be pretty awesome to own one of these, especially if it was the double eagle 😁 No government taking my property 🧱🧱🧱🧱
It was never distributed. Once the order from the president was given to stop payout, the coins became sole property of the government. It was sold illegally and was never the banks item to sell. It was a case of consignment so to speak. The government gave it to the banks to distribute, changed their mind and ordered it returned, the bank sold it anyway against the legal order to return it.
Beautiful coin, I'm confounded by the 33 being illegal, and crazy sale amount. I've only found a few gold plated coins in hunts, but I'm always thrilled finding a gold ring metal detecting. Thanks for another cool video!
I've been overly attracted to $1 coins. I would like to collect Gold 1$'s soon when I can afford them. I think these will be out of my reach for awhile but once I get some capital behind me I'll try to achieve these goals..
i vaguely remember reading new stories of a family finding grandpa hoard of gold coin in an attic. Pre 1933 gold coins taking it to have to apprasied then finding out they couldnt keep it. I am not sure why FDR decided to make it illegal but since they reversed gold ownership anything found pre 1933 shouldnt be coinfiscated. as far as anything double eagle or gold coin the most i could afford is a 1/10 gold douible eagle.
The 1933 Double Eagle Was The Most Expensive At Over 7 Million Dollars Until The 1794 Silver Dollar Blew It Away With A Price Tag Of Over 10 Million Dollars !
That is a beautiful coin that I would love to have didn't even know about this coin until now the only thing I do know is during the wars you were only allowed to own two pieces of gold in your household didn't money was one of them
Now I have seen some gold eagle's like this but wasn't in to gold collection yet just silver but with that information I need to go out and look at some date's to see if I can find one thanks for the info you the MAN👍👍
That's a really really nice coin. I recently looked to see what the cherry pickers guide prices was on Amazon and was shocked. 600.00 that can't be there right ? Do you know of a place to buy a used one?

Oh to go back in time and get a small handfull of these 33's!
I didn't know about these gold coins. Tank you J&B for letting me find out about this. So much detail.
That would be something to find a 1933 dbl eagle. The bad part is you couldn't tell anybody. The mint knows some are iut there and no more will be released so why don't they make them exempt from being confiscated
WOW THAT'S A CRAZY PRICE. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A REAL ST GAUDENS. LOOKS Beautiful. HOW CAN GOVERNMENT SAY YOU CAN'T OWN.
I can't believe these gold double eagles are illegal to own. It such a lovely coin.
St Gaudens is truly a beautiful coin and who wouldn't love to have one. Sometimes the gov needs to MYOB. I did not know about the 1933.
Such a beautiful coin! The 1933 is an amazing coin, i do wish i could get my hands on one of these mysterious beauties.
Fascinating stuff about the 33 double eagle. I also noticed in the pictures that the earlier years of this coin used Roman numerals for the dates.
I with I had one or one was passed down in the family. Thanks for the info, cheers
Makes you wonder how many are are out there in private collections. Thanks again JBcoinsinc for another great informative video.
This is a gorgeous coin, i didn't know there were 3 types of this gorgeous coin, wouldn't it be a great coin to have
Good info, had no idea about the legality of these coins thanks again
Wow, yeah a 1933 double eagle would be a nice piece to find!
What a beautiful Coin. It’s unfortunate that the government banned others from having access to this coin. That’s the government. Well, at least I have gained the history of this beautiful item. The government cannot take that away. Thank you JBCOINSINC.
That 1933 double Eagle gold coin is so cool would like to find one of them 👍 $$$$$
Holy moly. That much money for the double eagle?! I didn’t even know there were that many types to the coin! Cool info!

I love the coin roll hunts imagine finding one of these coin roll hunting
I love gold coin it’s look beautiful and i need that 1933 gold coin.
Its crazy that they're illegal to own. I've always considered St Gaudens coins to be some of the most beautiful ever produced. Thanks for sharing.
Just the 1933 is illegal to own, not all of them.
Well to me their all rare as WAY out of my budget. Certainly one of the most beautiful designs. Especially in gold.
That's crazy that gold coin would be illegal to own. I wish i had a gold coin. Thanks for the info.
Well I best keep my 1933 Double Eagle under wraps a few more years. But 7 million whoa! Great video, thanks.
I call my wife King Faruke when she buys something expensive! Lol. Thanks for the video J and B! Oh.....and I did learn ALOT. Thanks

"A 1933 Double Eagle coin is the most expensive coin that I have ever known." thnks 4 info: - )
I think the 1849 Double Eagle is more valuable. Over 10 million dollars in value
The 33 double eagle is the most expensive? Wow. I think my grandfather had something like that. Just remember a gold colored coin. I was only 9 at the time. He'd be amazed at what they are worth these days.

I didn't know the story behind the 1933 Double Eagle...interesting video!!
Very cool coin i would love to see one in person even though its elegal to have the 1933. I think the Treasury dept needs to reevaluate these coins being elegal and let the public sell and trade them.
GORGEOUS GOLD COIN JB
The Double Eagle is my favorite! 🦅🦅
I agree if you got a gold double eagle you can't say you own one you better keep for yourself.
St Gaudens is such a beautiful gold coin. I hope to add one to the collection one of these days. I can’t believe the 33 double eagle sold for 7 million. Such a rare but illegal coin to own
Nice looking coin!
Only The U. S. Mint can do this and get away with it. The 1883, 1913, and so on to this day. That is truly what makes the hunt some much fun. Gold, Silver, and just plain coins.
I never knew the story about the 33. That's really cool. Thanks for the info!
No I have not heard about this coin but it will be nice to have it.
Beautiful coin! Seven Million for a coin, crazy
Very cool gold coins, especially that 1933 double eagle. If I ever find one I'm keeping quiet. But confiscating coins is just insane. Never knew about these and how much they are worth. Thanks for sharing J&B.
That's really good information I can't believe something worth more then that
I have a 1933 Saint-Gaudens Twenty Dollar coin "copy" dated 2003. Is this ownable and is there any value in it? And yes, under States in relief is Copy instead of Twenty Dollars. It's in excellent shape.
Illegal to own? That's crazy. Over 7 mill for the coin! I wonder if the selling price would have been different if the auction took place in the US?
Woow beautiful gold coin, it would be pretty awesome to own one of these, especially if it was the double eagle 😁
No government taking my property 🧱🧱🧱🧱
The Saint Gaudens coin sure is pretty. I saw one, once, but it was not a 1933, lol. Those 20 dollar coins are way too expensive for me to own.
I was wondering how the government can put a ban on Money they minted and distribute lol
St. Gaudens double eagles are very nice coins and I would love to have some in my collection, but they are out of my price range .
It's amazing how much a double eagle is worth.
Mr Flannigan, what a guy, and what a way to get taken by the government!!!!
It would be awesome to have any double eagle in my collection. Not sure about one I couldn’t show off or brag about.
The SAINT GAUDEN S ARE AWSOME
There is a 1933 St. Gaudens in the Smithsonian Museum of American History in Washington, DC.
I have two Saint Gaudens twenty dollar gold pieces one is a 1908 ms65 form the Wells Fargo hoard and a 1914 twenty also i have the ten dollar saint.
I think that that is counterproductive to ban owning any coin.
Beautiful coin, I'm confounded by the 33 being illegal, and crazy sale amount. I've only found a few gold plated coins in hunts, but I'm always thrilled finding a gold ring metal detecting. Thanks for another cool video!
Whoa. That’s a lot of money. I guess if I had one to sell it would be on the down low. Thanks J&B
Illegal, never knew that! Thanks for the info! Not my favorite coin visually.
I've been overly attracted to $1 coins. I would like to collect Gold 1$'s soon when I can afford them. I think these will be out of my reach for awhile but once I get some capital behind me I'll try to achieve these goals..
I love silver.
thats one amazing design I wish I had
Interesting video. I wonder what other coins are out there that people might have. Gold coins and perhaps Silver.
Gold, st g I can only dream!double eagle. Wow how gorgeous. 7 million would build a very nice house!
I would be happy to see the coin..Also to meet the owner
It's in the Smithsonian Museum of American History in DC. The owner is the people of the United States.
I am dumfounded this is beautiful I'm shocked by what I just learned
I’m wondering about counterfeits ...... sounds lucrative ??
AWSOME!

Wow... Illegally released.?.. I thought it was bad when the W quarters got accidentally released early! 😂interesting history
Too bad they are illegal, would love to have one.
Is the edge reeded what does it look like
The edge is not reeded. It has the motto "E Pluribus Unum" Separated by 13 six-point stars.
Illegal or not I would still love to have one. I would take a 1927 D however. Thanks J&B.
Beautiful coin it's a crying shame it's illegal wish I had one though
Beautiful gold coin but how is it illegal to own it? Strange.
That is a beautiful coin that I would love to have didn't even know about this coin until now the only thing I do know is during the wars you were only allowed to own two pieces of gold in your household didn't money was one of them
I have two coin of double eagle of 1933
Where i can sell it?
Now I have seen some gold eagle's like this but wasn't in to gold collection yet just silver but with that information I need to go out and look at some date's to see if I can find one thanks for the info you the MAN👍👍
Love the 33 Great video
Is the most valuable of these double eagles publicly viewable?
Never heard of this client I love the story you told but I don’t think it’s the most expensive
That's a really really nice coin. I recently looked to see what the cherry pickers guide prices was on Amazon and was shocked. 600.00 that can't be there right ? Do you know of a place to buy a used one?
