I find Ds1 to be the best BECAUSE of its slow and unpolished mechanics, it sounds weird, but that feeling that it isn't really that hard when you actually know everything in and out is so nice, the whole game has such a calming tone to it, not only the firelink shrine but things like just looking out from Sens fortress or Dukes archives are some of my favorite moments in all of my playthroughs. Don't get me wrong though, I have still beaten and love all the other games, currently on the final boss of Bloodborne and the final DLC boss aswell, after that the only game I have left in the franchise is Demonsouls, which means I have to get a ps5... Awesome video man, the entire tone of the video made me want to look at all your other content immediately
Thanks for the comment! DS1 is great and I get what you mean, I feel a similar way about Batman Arkham Asylum from the trilogy, it’s the most simple and yet it’s jankiness ads an almost nostalgic touch to it
i feel that somehow im watching a video from a massive youtuber before they've become massive good video dog, glad you made it into my algorithm, can't wait for part 3!
Now I mostly avoid 'minimum effort to get enjoyment' games 'coz it feels less potent each time. Playing 'stressful' games make me actually appreciate and enjoy every little positive thing I got. Like I feel nothing when I got my 3rd legendary gun in Borderlands, but I'm incredibly happy to get just 3 shotgun shells out of nowhere in Evil Within
Coming back to this 2 months later & good golly I’m still surprised this video hasn’t exploded with views & likes. I just re-sent it to all my friends.
Choose one game. Delete all others from ur hard drive and engage with it until u complete it. Then re-download another and do the same thing. Sometimes too much choice is bad
Why dont you try subnautica below zero its the successor spin of its kinda like the first one, but on an arctic planet, its not as good as the first one in terms of content but i kinda liked exploring it as well.
I tried it a couple year back for a few hours and honestly didn’t enjoy it, I was surprised considering I how much I liked the first. I’ll maybe go back to it at some point
@@JoeUnderbite You can try a similar game with a much darker theme and its 2D called Barotrauma where you manage your submarine below the europa moon, its really creepy for a 2D game thats something i did not expect but beware its definitely not good if you still havent fixed your thalassophobia it will increase it, you will face the terrors of the sea as well as claustrophobic situations along with low oxygen and crush depths water breached and all that.

I find comfort in resident evil save rooms
Especially after being chased by something like Mr X

I wouldn't trust anyone who doesn't find comfort in Resident Evil save rooms.

Gothic 3 for me.
Skyrim just hours and hours of exploring even though I've seen every nook and cranny
However
