A scary concept that such an evil character is able to make us care for him, so brilliantly acted out by a talented actor. If it's so easy to trick us, then this tells us how easy it is for all controlling powers in our world to hood-wink us into convincing us they're "a good bunch of people".
George Warleggan was played absolutely brilliantly by Jack Farthing! He made George a complex, evolving, multi-dimensional personality instead of a mere "villain." As I watch, I find myself unexpectedly sympathizing with George.
Jack farthing is an amazing actor. he protrays George warleggan to the T!! the entire cast is honestly amazing. ps. i would watch keeping up with the warleggans!
I don't know the actor, and reading the book, he definitely wasn't the person I'd imagine as George. But, he was really good at being George Warleggan. Top-notch acting.
Jack is THE actor in the serie.....no Turner or any other....He did an amazong job!...I hope he will be so famous and will have more series or pictures. A talented young man. Congratulations Jack, you are a real a very, very good actor!!!
Jack Farthing reminds me of Jack Gleeson (King Joffrey Baratheon) . Both great guys in real life and such good actors that you genuinely hate their character in the movie.
Around that time trade merchants were making big money as the British empire expanded and many were aristocrats but many were not like the Warleggans of Poldark. These merchants rose into high society due to their wealth but were never really accepted as aristocrats like George by the aristocracy. The industrial revolution and inventions were in full swing then and society was changing towards democracy and equality for all which eventually would lead to the demise of the aristocracy in power and the move of the workers towards jobs in factories.
Elizabeth is a master in hiding her part in the triangle between her, George and Ross. By swearing on the bible she has George move for her. If he would know the truth about Valentine the marriage would be shattered and George had no saying at all in legal matters anymore. He wants to believe her to keep his power intact and he is loving her for that even if in the back of his mind he knows there is something wrong.
I just happened to watch Poldark. On channel 11 in Chicago on Saturday's & now I'm hooked the acting is incredible & the women are extremely beautiful & talented. It's just strange to me as a man that women dressed so beautiful/sexual hundreds of years ago before the internet/social media so feminine. 😥
You don’t find black leggings and runners beautiful? 😂 It’s true for both men and women. The care and pride people put just to go shopping really spoke about how they valued themselves. Even the most wealthy these days dress ugly and grungy on purpose. There’s no shame.
I doubt her cleverness what endeared men of that era to her, honestly (seeing from Ross', Francis' even George's pov). Her class-connection, upbringing, and her classic porcelain beauty was often mentioned.
Does anybody else feel that Jack Farthing would play the role of Roger Daltrey really well in a biopic of The Who? There's an uncanny resemblance. I for one would kill to see him do the "microphone-spin" move.
I love that show I can't wait for each Sunday to come to see what's going on and y'all said it season 5 and I'm seeing season 4 that makes me disappointed
Pat Bass ; season 5 is currently under production, so nobody has seen it yet. PBS just started airing season 4 this fall but in Europe it was seen last spring.
He is the best of Poldark. He made me care for wicked and insecure, troubled George. His eyes convey so much. Top notch.
Jack Farthing is one of the best actors I have ever seen.
100% agree, his portrayal of George is fantastic. He has always been my favorite character of the series because of his portrayal.

Keeping up with the Warleggans. Lol. Should be a whole separate series!
George is the best in poldark. Jacks acting is amazing, he deserves so much. Season 5 had me crying in episode 3
George Warleggan is such a believably vile and despicable character thanks to the high craftsmanship of Jack Farthing. Well done.

If I had to choose a good politician I'll choose Ross Poldark but If I had to choose a good husband, I'll definitely go for George Warleggan.
This has been one of the bests and literally worth watching shows I've evern seen in my life.
I adore the Blacksmith's boy! 😍
George and Elizabeth were the perfect power couple in series 4!
He is sooo good this guy.
Jack is THE actor in the serie.....no Turner or any other....He did an amazong job!...I hope he will be so famous and will have more series or pictures. A talented young man. Congratulations Jack, you are a real a very, very good actor!!!

I will always be team George. I have loved him from the beginning and he was the best character in the show.
Great actor totally believable .
He’s a very good actor!!!!
Oh please ......I wish George will get what needs to come to him!!! He is certainly a character you love to hate!
kristina guerrero oh my.....I have not seen that episode yet! 😉

George and Elizabeth were the best couple in the whole show
"His need to see justice done "? Don't you mean, "his need to get back at Ross" by whatever dirty means necessary ?

I would have to watch it again but I think George believed Tom Harry's eyewitness account that the Carnes were accomplices.
Season 5 made me love and care for George
I wish the writers would stick to the books, the carne brothers were never tried for anything much less put on the gallows.

Elizabeth is smart woman . No wonder why men were crazy about her
I doubt her cleverness what endeared men of that era to her, honestly (seeing from Ross', Francis' even George's pov). Her class-connection, upbringing, and her classic porcelain beauty was often mentioned.
Jack is a great actor it is a shame to see fans focusing on Sexy photos of Aidanand ignoring the perfect acting of handsome Jack

Does anyone know the episode that that kiss is from?

Series 4 aired on BBC one in summer.
Have much joy watching.
Limelight*, no, that was series 4. kiddo gnaka said series five, as did Pat Bass.
@@ninalaclaire1375 What I meant. Sorry I've changed it.
Jack Farting👍💐💐💐

Estamos de acuerdo, es un personaje repulsivo
