- Chasiv Yar is rightly seen as the gateway to the agglomeration of four cities, from Kostiantynivka in the south through Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, and Sloviansk to the north, which form the backbone of Ukraine’s defense of Donetsk Oblast.
To understand what could be a critical pressure test for the Ukrainian military and a sign of how the war will likely develop over the summer, the Kyiv Independent gained rare access to units serving both on the flanks of Chasiv Yar and inside the city itself.

The fact that the ukranian soldier admitted Russians are pretty good at the integrated ISR artillery strikes is a brave thing I respect him for rather than lying about Russian abilities like everyone else.
Soldiers usually tell the truth, they see their adversary face to face and learn to respect each other, this simple, either it's you or me. Very sad!
They need to stop the fighting. But Russians expect their border to be protected against NATO missiles aimed at Russian cities. Fired from Ukraine.
They gain nothing from lying. Underestimating your enemy is never a good idea.

human waves are only using waves after waves of infantry. but the russians are not like that they were using lots of tanks, ifv, and other armored vehicle and they are manuvering by launching assault in the very soft position undercover of artillery, drones and air strikes. after the tanks advancing and giving cover the BMP and infantry. they will deploy infantry to clearing the area which they are wanted to captured

It truly shows how unintelligent you are regarding modern warfare.
They have a good amount of manpower but most of them are stationed in the northern borders. Only the damned are in the front lines.
You can't ask for Infantry unit from NATO countries, that means its direct contact between NATO and Russia, also means nuclear might be considered.
The game hasn't changed at all. If one superpower make direct contact, the other one will only supply equipments, military advisor, and mercenaries. Happened in Korea, happened in Vietnam. Now happening in Ukraine

Who know. As for how long until other cities fall probably a while. If Chasiv Yar falls Konstantynivka will be next but it is about the same size as Bakhmut so it will take much longer (also Ukraine is preparing defences in the region).

It’s a bit confusing at one point where the guy says that the Russians just keep sending meat assaults and they don’t care about losses, but the overall repeated theme is that the Russians have 24/7 visibility and much superior drone, and artillery cover. If so, why would Russians be doing frontal assaults with heavy loses? The Ukrainians throughout the video are shown to be just hanging on and being pushed back. I’m sure they are taking heavier losses than the Russians who just bomb the heck out of their positions. Some propaganda from Kiev media.

Do they forget they lost tons of people in mass assault in battle like Bahmut, Avdeevka? How many thousands Ukranians vanished there for kind of PR reason.

But when they say the truth that ruSSia launches repeated assaults against highly defended positions and suffers mass casualties you call it propaganda.
You can’t forget something that didn’t happen. According to all estimates that have any evidence ruSSia suffered massively disproportionate casualties in those battles which is why Ukraine held them so long. One ruSSian sources that was in the battle for Avdiivka said as many as 17,000 ruSSian death.
You don’t get to pick and choose your facts yes the ruSSians learn, adapt, and innovate but also yes ruSSian commanders systematically lie about their losses leading to higher ups ordering repeat assaults on highly defended positions.

Then the winter offensive came along and avdivka is now 15km behind them, and now 2 months later. Chasiv yar as far as I know had French soldiers sent to help the defence of and its still going to fall.

Since Bakhmut fell Ukraine launched the summer offensive, which although unsuccessful in its main objectives retook 0.085% of Ukrainian territory (in the south and east). Since ruSSia regained the initiative and lead it winter offensive they have taken 0.05% of Ukrainian territory. You can argue about Avdiivka being more valuable than Robotyne but the fact is that so far ruSSia has gained less Ukrainian territory and population in its winter/spring offensive than Ukraine did in its summer offensive.
Idk which drug you consumed that made you think there are French troops in Chasiv Yar (I wish lol) or why you think that the fall of Chasiv Yar is guaranteed and why taking it will result in no negative consequences for ruSSian forces (apparently you think the ruSSians can just levitate over the hights at the back of the city).
The meat wave narrative is mostly for western audience consumption. Ukrainian soldiers on the front know this is not true. Western governments know their citizens would turn against more weapons to ukraine if they knew that Russia was succeeding. So western governments tell their citizens that Russia is suffering large casualties to keep support for Ukraine going

The southern lines haven't moved since Ukraine's first attempt at an offensive but the eastern front has moved 10km. Russia will be in kharkiv by mid to end of June.

Many of these frontline Ukrainian soldiers were told that the recently enacted draft legislation would include a provision that they could leave the Army after 3 years of service. That part of the legislation was pulled out due to manpower shortage. In effect, the very brave infantry men interviewed in this video have to remain in the military until they become a casualty or the war ends. This is a.proxy war. Zelinsky does what the money man (USA) tells him to do. At the moment, the money man wants the war to continue, so the dumb and unnecessary war continues. US involvement is zero about helping the people of Ukraine. US involvement is 100% about an attempt to maintain Western governments hegemony.
