They were doing the best they could with cheap components and there were some Americans "observers" who brought good equipment and supplies, they were taking notes and learning from the Ukraine drone enthusiasts. Ukraine has come a long way and smart use of everything they could get their hands on, they were preparing for what they knew would come one day.

Not really, most of the stuff sent to Ukraine is old and from storage, produced a long time ago. The newly produced stuff is then used to replace it within the donor countries.

These are all rounds that can't be fired any other way, or can't safely be fired from their intended weapon system.
