I suspect TTB is a kill on sight target. No matter how light or trash their mech is. Ignore the near dead assaults next to them and always go for TTB, as that's a deadlier target. ;-)
I can attest, it takes around 4-6 seconds with the LMGs to take out an UAV--plently of time to get shot at. I've been running this same build, and honestly like it a lot more than using Large Lasers or ER Mediums. Not that it does better damage, I just like the pairing the staring weapons together.
Tbf piloting a 100t Fafnir into the back of an enemy is a bit more of a challenge than, say, a fast light or medium stealth mech. One might even say it requires skill.
@@XKS99 I went light PPC because xpulses weren't in the game yet when I made that build, but I may have to go try that out and see how it plays different. :)
I love the original AC/2 Blackjack BJ-1, I used to run one with an upgraded stock loadout (DHS, Endo, LFF, XLFE) and more ammo. I've always thought that the BJ-1 could use some AC/2 gigaquirks, like the Hunchback HBK-4G got for it's AC/20. A pair of gigaquirked AC/2 autocannons on a slow 45 ton chassis that's made of side torsos would hardly be game breaking. It's a shame that DPS or "stare them down" builds are bad compared to PPFLD, alpha vomit, or poptarting.
@@aka-47k i dont see how thats better, weapon convergence is all over the place with lasers leading the target and MGs tracing it... but to each their own i suppose.
@@dazley8021 another fun fact: mashineguns in mwo are lazers, lol unlike other ballistics they insta hit without travel time, even if you see the projectiles slowly traveling its only a visual effect.
@@aka-47k Been playing it for over a year, i'm aware MGs are hitscan, dude. The arms on a BJ dont have lower arm actuators, which means they cant aim independently left to right, only up and down.

I haven't run it with the x-pulse, I normally stick a trio of light PPCs on instead. Will definitely have to give this one a go :)

I use 6 heavy machine guns and 3 light PPC on my Arrow. You have to really watch your positioning, but I've had a lot of my best games in that mech.
Why light PPCs and not medium or large Xpulses?

The X-pulse lasers just sound so awful, I wish they'd redo the sound on those.
Oh I love them. The sound makes me want to play x-pulses so much even though their performance is mediocre.

ttb plays with arms unlocked, as such you have 2 crosshairs, arms mashineguns and torso lpulses.
