That distrocase is awesome... thinking about doing my first custom loop (probably in two-three years because college) and thought i had narrowed the case down to O11 Dynamic XL, that case makes we rethink everything about that decision
Same! But the price though.... yikes. According to another video it's going to be $600. Not sure if the price will ever drop because the P7 case price hasn't dropped in such a long time (2 years? or more) and it's $300.... This case is awesome but the $$$ is gonna be a pain in the booty for me.
Yeah I JUST bought the 011 Dynamic XL for my X570 Aorus Master & R9 3950X, I've been looking at this dual system distro-plate where you can have a separate loop for either cpu or gpu, only issue is its $1,000USD and I live in Australia 🇦🇺 more $$$ is gonna go to shipping😂😭
Professor RAWR if the case is 600 better off spending a little bit more and get the singularity computers one. Distro plate is made Of acrylic doesn’t cost a ton to make with a Cnc it should be more like 300
Absolutely. I really liked the looks of the old one already but that’s even better. I just wish they could do it with a closed housing so it doesn’t collect dust.
I love having Paul at these conventions. His demeanor is calm and opinion is too. He's not freaking out and up selling everything like some of the other channels. I like being shown what's going on and just getting quick honest opinions. I appreciate it. Good footage too. Cheers to Joe.
Paul's videos are becoming more and more interesting to me these days and I have just subscribed. I think his CES coverage has been far superior to that of other UA-camrs and I can't wait to see what he comes up with next. Well Done! P.S. Some of the pro custom builds highlighted in some of Paul's CES videos aren't PCs', they're works of art!
MY issue with TT is in the past there quality was not there, and I haven't heard anyone talk about it improving so I can't bring my self to buy from them
That software may be a groundbreaking thing. No more marking wires with numbers to remember which fan is where in each hub etc.. now with one click you can address that indiviual fan. Very nice!
PrimoChill already has a single-phase coolant that looks like it has flakes in it that won't separate or clog. Think it's been on shelves for over a year by now.
If you do use that coolant. I'd say only do it for b-roll shots for the video on it being finished. Afterwards, swap back to just straight distilled water. Even a really good coolant with even a light additive is gonna build up gunk in your system.
Thermaltake saw how popular the PC011 has been, so they made one. That View 51 actually looks great. On the Distrocase though, they use the rear box area for drive storage and wiring control on the P3, I'm guessing this case just loses that entirely?
3:40, look out EK, TT is making Distro plates now. they tend to legislate/lawsuit-troll competition out of existence. RIP CaseLabs. 4:36 hmm, looks a lot like the 011 dynamic, gues lawsuits against Der8auer and Lian Li are not far away, eeeek. ok, I do appreciate that they did not remove a USB type A plug for the USB c plug. 6:14 I have only been frustrated by RGB soft, because DMX512/RDM soft is so drastically better and the lights work equally as well. I am just dumbfounded the computer industry refuses to use a standard that has worked flawlessly for stage lighting since the dawn of time. Computer RGB is in the stone ages compared to DMX512/RDM systems. nice they started light programs, it still needs trigger inputs so it can be synced to stuff going on (like DMX512/RDM control soft). Great vid Paul and crew. B)
That AH T600 looked more like a Recognizer! I'm not interested in watercooling setups myself, though I must say the designs for distroplates some companies put out (Thermaltake included) are very impressive. I especially like the hydro-dipped tubing :P Their RGB software also brings a breath of fresh air, despite needing their fans to use it. Perhaps they can add some compatibility for other fans in the future?
Those cases are crazy, I think my favorite thing here is the hydro dipped tubes. They allow for some customization without the need for hubs and complicated wire management
I will be seeing some of this kit next week in BKK, I love Tt products and that coolant!!!! Roll on the 21st. Saw a pic of you today with Dave Alcock and Alex Banks.....great photo!!
If only water cooling wasnt so expensive, id really love to make one for myself. I like the idea of textured coolant and the distroppate. Id love to see more distroplates like so and more modular, so a customer can make the case and distroplate more personal.
Would love to see a coolant that looks like this but doesn't clog your system. Sadly the nature of having particulates in your fluid means that they will eventually start cumulating and clogging but one can hope ... And yes Paul, get it and build something sexy with it :P
I like the case which can make use of 200mm fans. There are almost no cases available which can use large fans which of course combine high flow with low noise if your goal (like me) is to have excellent cooling and low noise.....
There's a whole lot of artistic potential in TT's new products. Since art is half the point of watercooling and virtually the only point to RGB, I'm really impressed.
The RAM sticks do not require water cooling on their own but with CPU's and GPU temperatures getting higher the heat they generate can migrate to the RAM and cause random BSOD's.
would love to see the Displate integrate a 360mm or so rad directly into the plate and maybe a universal plate for the GPU to mount directly to the plate too, also small gripe but would like to actually be able to see the distroplate a bit more cleared so you can actually see the plate behind all the hardware
I may be wrong but I think that open cases would be more efficient at case cooling? More and more glass cases are being released but all seem to be sealed tightly shut, why aren't we seeing more open case designs?
I never thought that I'd fall in love with a Thermaltake product. Not only is that Distro Case amazing, but I didn't know that their RAM was so sexy either. The brushed aluminum set is my favorite. Is there a release date and MSRP for the Distro Case?
To Thermal Take, I for one am very I repeat very interested in a Clear/Black version of that tubing or even a Clear/Grey, Clear/White. Any Neutral color scheme that still allows you to see the coolant in the tube would be something I'd simply say, "Take my Money" to... I also love the Distro-Case as well of course but that would depend on pricing. If the case itself costs as much as a Mid-Tier system then probably not so much but if it was say sub $400 or even a little cheaper then I could see myself picking it up. I just bought the 011 Dynamic XL as well as the XL Distro-Plate for my next personal build so dropping $300 to $400 on a case and plate is not absurd, to me at least. However pushing past $400 would only make sense for a truly epic build. It would also price that case out of the reach of a lot of potential customers. Not sure what the cost to manufacture for that case is but things like leaving the pump for the end user to choose what they want to buy separately could definitely help. As someone who loves the Hobby of Custom Water Cooling I always prefer to pick the pumps I use in my builds depending on what I need for said builds. Distro-Plates are basically for purely aesthetic effect for the most part but choosing the right pump can make or break a build...
I'm a big fan of Singularity and have had TT standing in the corner for a bit for past faux pas. Regardless, I think that it ultimately sells more Spectre cases and gives Singularity exposure. We can hope. It's not like Singularity invented the distro plate either, so there's that. edit: people are still pointing out TT's shittiness so they're still in the corner.
It would be a good idea of you do get that fluid, to set it up on a test bench or easy to teardown case. Maybe even put some aside to send into 3rd party lab for testing.
I hope someday I can go water cooling for my PC, because last year I finally bought me the case I wanted and that was the Phanteks Evolv X ATX with Tempered Glass, but its all a process, but the biggest price most don't relies are the fittings for a water build, fittings alone will run you over $200-300+. Thats why custom water cooling is so pricey.
I dont care what they say about that type of coolant. The fact is if you are going to suspend non-miscible solids it will inevitably cause problems down the road if you arent doing maintenance at least twice a year.
I can actually say, I'm really impressed with thermaltake. I would love to get my hands on the hydro dipped tubing. Hopefully it will come on hold since I'm using black liquid in my black and gold build
That bkue would be cool on artic panther mark 3 (still like artic dragon) But im worried about clogging and staining, with that distro plate, i wouldnt risk it on the case. Risk it on something less troublesome to clean if theirs clogs and such
Honestly looking at that one case I would rather having the power supply in the back adding width (removing height) because with the extra width could make a combination of a power supply and hard drive area
Hi. I just noticed you mentioned that the NeonMaker software from ThermalTake supports any Riing/Plus fans. I am currently using the Riing Plus fans and I downloaded their NeonMaker software and it would say that controller is not detected, but the controller is detected when I use the old tt rgb plus software. Maybe this was a misinterpretation? On their website, it seems a bit unfinished, but they only seem to mention neonmaker for the quad riing fans. I also wanted to mention that my great uncle told me to check out this channel, which was funny because I already know this channel for a while and it was nice to know that my great uncle watches you and recommends you :)
cool stuff. love the idea of the entire panel distro plate, but why not turn the entire distroplate into a passive heatsink as well? I doubt it would eliminate radiators but it should help limit the amount and size of the radiators needed, as well as lower fan speeds. has anyone ever developed a solution where the whole side of a case is an active or passive radiator?
My Tower 900...AKA the "mini fridge" dwarfs all of those lol.. While distro plates look nice and they are, they trap way too much air that is difficult to remove..

Although I also love the look of the fluid, would be hesitant to use it long term. especially after seeing the clogging and residue buildup they all seem to suffer from.
Thermaltake killing it in the watercooling game. These cases with built in distro blocks are so much more affordable than what Singularity Computers' offer.
