    My fingers are on the correct position but the thumb is hard to be in postion. Sometimes I pressed my fingers down without the thumb. Am I wrong? Even changing strings, my thumb will not be in same position.

  • @dragonflowermusic
    @dragonflowermusic 4 роки тому +1

    What does a person do if their fingers won't "spread" far enough apart to put all fingers in first position at the same time? I would say that I have average-sized hands for a female, but the fingers just won't spread apart as yours do in the video,with one finger on each note of first position. Also, my pinky is kind of short and does not even reach the fingerboard when the other 3 fingers are in place, unless I cock my hand at a weird, painful angle. Any thoughts?

    • @dotteddice2358
      @dotteddice2358 4 роки тому

      I have the same issue with hand spread, and I let my 1st and 2nd fingers lift up a little when needed to place the 4th down.
      Practice and time will make the hand stronger and more flexible. 😎
