Very nice installation. I’ve only replaced existing pickups or installed K&K minis from scratch. This looks fairly straightforward with that jig.
Thank you
That sounds beautiful.
Great video Jeremy! That guitar is fantastic. I put the LR Baggs in my Martin D41. Based on your feedback on the Hifi, I felt it would be perfect for the D41 because it's a big dreadnaught with Rosewood that may even out the trebles. I have no regrets!!!
Love the Vampires tune…
Love the video! Might get one in my WJ-185. You make the install look so easy! 😂
Rasmus’s guitar sounds so good!
Well done Jeremy! Great vid! I swear you’re getting good at making these informative guitar vids! Love em! Stay kind, and Keep on rocking my friend! 🇨🇦👍🏻🌍
Clean install, I need a reamer bit like that. I'm glad more non under saddle options are being made. I dislike having a wire rope under my saddle.
I’m sold sounds great in my d28
Question Jeremy = the washer that goes on the threaded pickup jack (the one between the guitar and the threaded nut) - does that bite into the guitar finish when you tighten the nut? If so,could you put a piece of trimmed felt between that washer and and finish to protect it? Oh, and I think its not that its easy, you make it look easy. I'd be covered with flop sweat and take at least 4x as long to do it myself :)
Would be interesting to hear it against the K&K. I think it has almost a nylon string sound to it.
Nice bro!
Hi Jeremy. What tools did to you make or buy to complete the install? That jig you used to place the pickups for example.
Don’t K&k minis get super glued? I thought you really liked those.
Do you play many gigs?
Sounds great!
Not a USP... So I expected less quack than that.... I've never come to terms with or gotten used to piezo quack.. Of anything my Anderson had gotten worse. Maybe that's just me... Nice video though! Fun to watch!
Probably got a little bit of guitar in the mic... But you can hear this one is really natural and quack free: ua-cam.com/video/DamC3S5CDaY/v-deo.htmlsi=tdJ6Ivsl67o7eCFd
Probably got a little bit of guitar in the mic but even still you can hear that this one is really natural and quack free: ua-cam.com/video/DamC3S5CDaY/v-deo.htmlsi=tdJ6Ivsl67o7eCFd
Why not just by a Martin?
I think it looks very nice. Very clean and great looking workmanship.
He has a Martin and there are other guitars other than Martins that are fine instruments.
All guitars are different. Taylor, Gibson, Martin all have their own characteristics. Within each line many differences. I have owned 5 Martins, 4 Gibsons, plus Epiphone,, Takamine and Alvarez. They have come and gone with time and changes in my musical goals. All have something to offer, no matter the price point.
Sometimes the thing you want to play does not have a pickup. If it comes with one, great. I have installed pickups if they were not present from the maker factory in 9 of my 10 acoustics. Only 2 were factory equipped, an OMC16e and an Alvarez baritone.
It is wood and metal. A toy to enjoy, not a holy object. Totally OK to make it your own in any way you like. I mod most of the 'lectrics that I get too. Might put a big green iguana sticker on the next one just for fun.
I have Martin a Gibson customs shop and vintage. My apologies, I was being a grumpy old man in my post above. I'm an avid player and collector and would love a Zandlivet guitar. Good on Jeremy for installing the pup, something that I would not try. Cheers to you all. You're a good group here. I subscribed. So I'll be around .
@@chrish.4067 No worries, I am a grumpy old man regularly.
Yuk! This p/u and so many others absolutely stink! Amazes me people like them, they take so much away from a guitar's sound.
Keep in mind this is di signal, and once it's coming from a speaker in a room with a bunch of people that are half paying attention at a bar, it sounds pretty good.
At least this one almost doesn't impact unplugged sound
