Thanks for the review. Not many in the English world talk about this brand. Look forward to a comparison review between this one and other major brands.
This Seatpost is the finest seatpost made in Germany . It is the Tiger 2 tank of Seatposts . Weight wise and performance wise and in terms of durability. Have fun with it , good choice . I run the LTversion with 50mm suspension Greetz from Düsseldorf, West Germany BTW yea the shipping cost is nuts . I order a lot hiking gear from US cottage companies and pay 40-50shipping plus an Import Tax . Recently bought the Enlightenment Equipment Torrid Apex Jacket ( best synthetic bike packing jacket on the market at just 7oz weight ) And it costs 155 usd plus 40 shipping to Germany and then I paid 55 usd import tax … And all my hiking gear is imported from America xD
@@ahp3840 hi Andrew. No i dont use it for mountainbiking. I have it on my Touring Bike that is also ok for gravel roads and light forest. For Real Mountain biking Trails and offroad forest i would buy myself a fully mountainbike, not a Hardtail. But i'd say it improves the ride on any bike except i wouldnt use it on a Road Racing bike because this Seatpost is heavy. Im extremly satisfied
@@rodrev_hiking6757 Yes, I have 2 hardtails, vintage and modern ! Love German technique. I have a Pinion gearbox. The vintage I use for vacation bike rides. I bought the ST and LT today. I will get it next week. Thanks for your reply
You may not be able to snug it down tight enough if you are using a hand held hex wrench. A hex socket and torque wrench would be the best combo to be sure it’s tightened to spec. Otherwise, I’d be happy to take a look at your set up if you’d like to send along a couple of pics.
The post comes in a wide variety of spring rate options, depending on your weight. The springs are progressively wound, meaning they become stiffer as they move to full extension. As long as the seat you purchase has the correct spring for your weight class, you should have a smooth ride with very little bottoming out. There is no spring adjustment otherwise.

Glad it was helpful! I was in the same situation while trying to learn more of this brand and very happy with it so far.
The LT version was on the Cube Katmandu SLT 750 bike I bought. Built like you expect from Germany engineering.

Hi. Do you use the LT for mountain biking? I am deciding to buy the ST or LT. It is now 1 year late, how is your experience now? Thanks, Andrew

the micro ratcheting on the seat is adjusting on its own for me when i sit on the seat. It appears i may not have tightened it correctly, any advice?

Thanks for doing... Does not have preloading and is preloading important?.
Hi, how to adjust spring tightness?

you tell a lot, but not show with person on it etc.But off course thanks.
idd, het liefs een camera achterin en een filmpje maken en kijken hoe de werking is. Nog steeds niets bekend hier in NL over dit product
Another useless review that's just all talk and no actual demonstration of how it works.
