Please Actionkid next time you do a train ride like this, please please sit in a car without a bunch of loud kids. All the noise really spoiled what would have been a peaceful, relaxing trip along the Hudson. Otherwise, really love your videos. Glad you're back in NY. Hope you're here for the holiday season.
Great video Action Kid. Brings back memories of myself riding the Hudson line to Poughkeepsie to relatives homes. Mainly my sister and brother who lived in nearby Rosendale NY in Ulster County. They pick me up in Poughkeepsie Station and on to their homes.
When I used to have to go to meetings in Albany from my home in NYC I would try to take trains like this just because the ride was so beautiful and peaceful (as long as you didn’t have kids like you were dealing with).
I enjoyed the spectacular views of the Hudson River and fall foliage throughout this ride! 😍 I felt like I was on a fieldtrip with all the energetic kids on the train. 😆 Thank you for sharing this scenic train ride, AK! 🤗
Such a nice trip AK even with the kids in the back ground. Such a beautiful view to enjoy with industries along the way . So much to see Poughkeepsie what a hidden treasure.
Many years ago I was a courier for a marketing company near Phila. Two of my trips were to White Plains and Mt. Kisco. Loved those trips. First the train ride from Philly to NY, then the train ride from NY to White Plains or Mt. Kisco. I'd smoke a dubbie before the ride and enjoy the stunning Hudson Valley views. I remember thing, "wow, i'm getting paid for this".
I’m very familiar with Metro North. I used to live in Garrison, New York, and Metro North has a stop there as you will see on this video. It’s just north of Peekskill, New York. Beautiful ride!
"The Hymns of Disney - Miracles on the Hudson/Huntington Lines", an album compilation I curated myself on this channel, my own one mind you...a classic to those who heard it, just like this video I'm watching...the Hudson Line's a beauty...from GCT to Marble Hill, Riverdale, Yonkers, Croton-Harmon, Ossising, Beacon, & the last stop, Poughkeepsie, the prelude to joy & that ride to the capital of NY, Albany...the views are sweet & gorgeous, just like my wife & daughters...enjoy it everybody! Have a nice weekend & stay safe!
At the 1:06:33 mark is where the old Montrose station once stood. The Montrose and Crugers stations were removed as stops when the Cortlandt station was placed into service.
THANK YOU for this ActionKid, this is by far the best video of the Hudson line I have seen. Is there any chance of you making a video of the same line going the other direction into Grand Central? Maybe not with this weather haha, but in the future? Wonderful video again!
Eyyyyy! I took this train last November and got off at Cold Spring. I loved rolling up the banks of the Hudson and taking in the scenery, although that military academy we saw on the way looked PROPER sinister! Still cool though. Haha
Well i remember taking the Hudson Line a couple of times and the farthest that i gone on the Metro North Hudson Line is up to Yankees East 153rd Street. That's where i get off and enjoy a baseball game at Yankee Stadium. I've never ridden the Metro north train up the Hudson River but i did went up the Hudson River on Amtrak, and did you know that two facts about the Hudson Line on Metro North. The first part is you can make a connection at three different stations from Metro North to Amtrak like Yonkers, Croton Harmon, and Poughkeepsie. The second part is in the future metro north will be expanding into Penn Station and that will be part of Phase 2 of the project with two new stations.
hello Ak!!... thanks for showing us how to get to Pougkeepsie, it is a place that I have on my list to visit in 2023, 🙏, the train ride from Grand Central to Poughkeepsie is beautiful!! bye 💝
So when will you ride the Amtrak Empire Service to cities like Hudson and Albany? It starts from Penn Station and travels pretty much on the same tracks as the Metro North Hudson Line up to Poughkeepsie.
Gotta love that metronorth customer service. Threats right out of the gate! I'm so glad I left NYC. It's not worth a life of everyone assuming the worst of each other.
The screaming kids ruined it for me. Had to turn it off before we even got to Tarrytown. When I get on an LIRR train the first thing I do is look for a quiet car. Pity.
You definitely didn't get on the quiet car. Love the views of the Hudson River and Palisades.
Definitely didn't get on a quiet car!
Those kids and their parents have zero manners. Atleast we know where the kids get it from

Yup, didn't exactly get into the quiet car

or find someone on their phone that actually does have a life
I like the loud kids on this video, it's real and unique. There is a lot of quiet and peaceful train ride videos on UA-cam after all.
what if they are not kids? maybe you got their age wrong

The views of the Hudson with the Palisades on the other side? Beautiful.

I once filmed up in Hudson and rode that line back down. Its actually worth taking a ride just for the views. Fall and summer are best
Very nice!

Nice train ride for anyone who likes the trains and i wouldn’t mind the views , there’s something to see for everyone 😎Thank you A K for sharing🙂👍!!!
Much appreciated, thanks for watching!
Thank you AK , love the colors of fall 🍁
You can also take the amtrak from Penn station to Toronto something to maybe consider on your next trip to 🇨🇦
That's right!
You ALWAYS put me in a New York "state of mind" ❤
Such charming conductor announcements at the beginning. Be ready or we're charging you onboard. That's customer service.
At the 1:06:33 mark is where the old Montrose station once stood. The Montrose and Crugers stations were removed as stops when the Cortlandt station was placed into service.
What a great view!
Nice! I live in Beacon. Great ride!
How exciting! I stayed in a Castle in Tarry Town. We did a lantern tour of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery 🎃👻
So cool!
Thank You!
Great ride--thanks!
Trains to New Haven have power slots in every seat. Poughkeepsie train has 1 on one end and 4 on the other end
If I did a video like that, I would ride the Metro-North from Grand Central Terminal to Southeast on the Harlem line.
Thanks Action Kid.
The conductor says " Thank you very much. " . AK says hello to his old friend the extra long Tappan Zee bridge .
Interesting ride! Cheers from Miami Beach! 🌴

I’m gonna buy a train ticket ticket to Poughkeepsie just for the ride and the view. IDC!!!
hello Ak!!... thanks for showing us how to get to Pougkeepsie, it is a place that I have on my list to visit in 2023, 🙏, the train ride from Grand Central to Poughkeepsie is beautiful!! bye 💝
You're welcome!
@@ActionKid 😀 thank you!!...
@@ActionKid I saw the video of Poughkeepsie and I was fascinated... I left you a comment🤗
Wow those kids have a lot of energy! I bet they’re very excited!
Yeah they were so active the entire time!
So when will you ride the Amtrak Empire Service to cities like Hudson and Albany? It starts from Penn Station and travels pretty much on the same tracks as the Metro North Hudson Line up to Poughkeepsie.
Wait no. I would take the 4 or 5 train from Borough Hall to Grand Central-42 Street and then take the Metro-North to Southeast.
So you can't tap on the train with a debit/omny for metro north?
Does Amtrak cost the same to go to Poughkeepsie?
It's more expensive to take Amtrak
Yes is the same price
How does a river get that wide? It's like an ocean.
Price the ticket ?
Thanks ☺️
Is this the same line from that Liam Neeson movie?
Do you prefer Metro North, LIRR, NJ Transit or Amtrack
Amtrak n metro north I guess.
I prefer whichever train gets me to my destination safely, on time, and is a good value for the price
Nice
Do you intend to visit Brazil someday? I would love to introduce you to my city São Paulo, by the way I love your videos ❤️
Isn't this route the same Ross Geller did while he was sleeping?
Oct. 20th was a Thursday. Don't children attend school anymore?
probably the kids-teenagers they went on the train after they done with school
14:30 what stop is that?
Harlem - 125th Street
How long is it?
About 2 hours
The train?
Great scenery but I would have like to have had some narration during the trip.
Hi.AK
Gotta love that metronorth customer service. Threats right out of the gate! I'm so glad I left NYC. It's not worth a life of everyone assuming the worst of each other.
Kids be havng the deepest conversations about nothing lol you gotta love it'
Moving to Poughkeepsie this upcoming year :) F* NYC
These loud kids are annoying
that’s kind of rude but i agree
The screaming kids ruined it for me. Had to turn it off before we even got to Tarrytown. When I get on an LIRR train the first thing I do is look for a quiet car. Pity.
I have wonderful, amazing, good news for you. There's a brand new invention, it's called the volume down button. You should look into it.
@@vicepresidentmikepence889 lol good roast
🦜~ why didn't you get a round-trip fare?
